Before that, Samus was with [[MetalGearSolid Solid Snake]], which didn't make [[spoiler:[[FZero Captain Falcon]] very happy...]] Pearl also gets [[ToyShip her own ship]] with [[KidIcarus Pit]].
* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: In Case #3, Psychic Turnabout, [[spoiler: Lucas has just admitted to the crime, which Mewtwo had been claiming to, in order to protect him. Things look like they're heading towards a BittersweetEnding....until Phoenix objects and proceeds to prove that the crime in question was the fault of neither of them, and clears them both in one fell swoop]].

* MoralEventHorizon: [[spoiler:Luigi]] does this in Case #7 when [[spoiler:he threatens Trucy with his psychic powers in order to blackmail Apollo into still defending him.]]

Twelve cases have been made so far. A 13th was in production, but was lost when the computer containing it broke down.
