Mundane rifle rounds and other forms of conventional weaponry are presented as a serious threat to characters who have taken anti-tank shells ([[WaveMotionGun and much much worse]]) to the face and walked away from it. WordOfGod ([[http://forums.spacebattles.com/showpost.php?p=5282860&postcount=176 relevant SpaceBattles post here]]) claims this is because bullets are high-penetration weapons which apply their energy to a much smaller area than most of the flashy and explosive spells used by the characters, and so break through BJ defenses in much the same way that a Kevlar vest is useless against a knife. [[FridgeLogic The question of why Jail opted to mount missiles, lasers, and other exotic weapons on his Gadgets and Cyborgs instead of these magical jacket-killing bullets is never explained]], not by the author himself at any rate.

* JustHereForGodzilla: Really, the only thing worthwhile in this fic is the combat, which is always epic and lovingly detailed with all kinds of things going on as each character out does what the last one did.
