* ''ComicBook/Marvel1602'' (is pretty sweet) I missed the sequels at first because while the first series is just titled '1602', so shows up in the alphabetical listing under '1', two of the sequels are titled as 'Marvel 1602' and so are under 'M' and the last one is 'Spiderman 1602' and so is under S (I ended up doing a a page-search to find them all). This setting is likely to come up fairly often since I've made it Storyteller's home base.

* BerserkButton: Nobody earns the godly title "God of Wrath" for ''not'' having a HairTriggerTemper, but the Loki with it reacts especially badly (mysgonistic slurs included) to being called a ''liar'' (because he sees himself as a god of truth).

* ByTheBookCop: 'Numen' Laufeyson. By his own admition he brought forth the circumstances for and ''wrote'' the first book of law so he got a book to be a cop by. Storyteller theorises that this makes him outright {{incorruptible|PurePureness}} for [[PureIsNotGood better or worse]].
* ChekhovsGunman: Mr. [[spoiler:Nancy, aka Anansi]], who appears mostly just to talk a bit and give directions in [[spoiler:chapter #7]], but returns in [[spoiler: chapter ''#34'']] to be much more plot relevant. Later chapters revealed that all members of the OmniscientCouncilOfVagueness except [[spoiler:Karn]] appeared before the reveal about the council, [[spoiler:the Bride of Nine Spiders guided Loki to Sun-Wukong]], and [[spoiler:Madam Webb]] intervened to stop them from bugging [[spoiler:the Young Ultimates]].

** Also Story!Loki muses why isn't there a Spider-Man in Manhattan when there should be two. Of course there aren't. Both got away before the incursion hit and will only arrive when the true event begins.

* TheFakeCutie: [[spoiler:Nu!]]Loki is a small, cute, harmless looking woman, who is obviously [[WoundedGazelleGambit scared and hurt]]... she is actually incredibly manipulative and dangerous because she is [[spoiler:the goddess of traps and poisons and a SerialKiller]].
* FakeMemories: Doom's memory manipulation towers make the people of Battleworld think that the world is as it always was. Occasionally the cover-up story generated to reconcile the characters' reality with this lie became very complex in the process. [[spoiler:For example the Thors and related characters who weren't actively Thoring (616!Odinson, Don Blake of Paradise City) when the Incursion hit their world got a tale about a rogue domain called Lemuria, and them being dishonorably discharged for denying orders to [[WouldBeRudeToSayGenocide purge]] it.]]

* FlatEarthAtheist: Fairly common thinking amongst citizens of less magical baronies as the no travel between regions rule makes it harder to notice how ''weird'' the world actually is around them. Well, probably some would at least ''say'' they believe in God Doom, because he's very prone of smiting the heretics, but outside of that? There is no such thing as the supernatural! This even includes the Lokis of those places. [[spoiler:Luke]] literally called even the notion of magic "smoke and mirrors".

* TheIdealist: Wilson of the Manchester gods in this fic is very much a hardcore Marxist of the highly idealistic bent with deep belief that RousseauWasRight.

* LetUsNeverSpeakOfThisAgain: Mini!Thunderstrike would rather not talk about what happened in Arcadia ever again. [[spoiler:The ten year old Miss America overpowered him while play fighting.]]

* MaleGaze: InUniverse example with Mini!Thunderstrike planned to spend the time with ogling Story!Loki's ass... who at that point changed gender to male to his great disappointment. Loki pointing out that he still could, but that "somehow" didn't make him feel better.

* MistakenIdentity: Ultima-Iron Man mistakes [[spoiler:Story!Loki]] as [[spoiler:Ultima-]]Loki, fortunately a Thor can be found to clear up the situation, but unfortunately [[spoiler:not before Ultima-Loki gets away.]]

* TheNoseKnows: Story!Loki theorizes, because they shielded their home from magical detection, that [[spoiler:Berserker-Loki]] must have found them by tracking ''their scent''.

** And it only limitedly affects PhotographicMemory. Meainig it might make the person think the thing they remeber actually was/happened on Battleworld but does ''not'' change the memory itself.

** [[spoiler:Karn]] can set alerts for specific events unfolding, but insists that he is not watching everything all the time.

* OtherMeAnnoysMe: Loki's relationship with Loki is almost always around these lines. For example [[spoiler:Hobo!]]Loki was annoyed by Story!Loki because she was young, sane, and [[FreudianExcuse she reminded him of his mother]] (at least she didn't have a hammer, that would be reason to die of shame); he also reacted with disgust to the thought that there could be non-magical Lokis.

* PlatonicDeclarationOfLove: In chapter #36, [[spoiler:Storyteller says "I love you" to Paradise!Loki and adds that he is glad to having met them and proudly calls them family.]]

* ReallyWasBornYesterday: [[spoiler:Story!]]Loki is only some months old as they were born just before ''Doom's Day''. Being BornAsAnAdult and with PastLifeMemories might lessen the squick factor. [[spoiler:Or not. Striker took the simple friendship after Loki told him this.]]

* ScrewDestiny: Story!Loki's general attitude, as an extension they have great moral problem with inflicting fate on others too. [[spoiler:Yet another reason she doesn't want to be anything like the Norns.]]

* ShadowWalker: [[spoiler:Nu!]]Loki. Fortunately her range is rather limited.
* ShipsThatPassInTheNight: {{Invoked}}. Story!Loki suggests Verity should date [[Comicbook/NewMutants Doug Ramsey]] despite the the two never having met, on the grounds that he doesn't do the social courtesy lying thing that makes Verity avoid human contact most. And also to [[{{troll}} provoke]] her mom.

* TheThingThatWouldNotLeave: Story!Loki's way of gaining audience with Doom involved annoying the Thors with not leaving until they brought her before him. And after getting an official title and badge, now they ''definitely'' won't leave.

* ThouShaltNotKill: [[spoiler:Story!]]Loki feels this is the line they must not cross [[spoiler:as that lead from being a God of Chaos to the God of Evil in most of their iterations]]. To the point of no killing by proxy, giving order to kill, or other rules lawyering.
* TimeCrash: The Barony of Manhattan suffers this thanks being a mashup of the remnants of at least two different Earths, one with an already broken timeline (Earth-616) and one where time progression is three times faster (Earth-1610). This manifest in regular ''time quakes'' that [[GroundhogDayLoop reset everything inside back to the time]] when Battleworld was formed. And Verity is the only person who remembers. [[spoiler:This also means that everybody living there is functionally immortal.]]

* TrulySingleParent: Dad-Loki of the [=McTwo=] domain is the only parent of a magic female clone of himself Sylene. Contrary to most examples of this trope he's actually a passable dad, who has good relationship with his daughter, and they love eachother like family.
