* SourOutsideSadInside: Kratos is still this. He's still unfriendly and brusque to Pit, but he's shown to be saddled with remorse and self-loathing for destruction he caused.

* TearsOfFear: Palutena sheds these as she readies for combat against Kratos. Considering that he's killed several gods before, it's not an unjustified feeling.

* WorthyOpponent: Kratos acknowledges that Pit's willingness to fight to the end no matter the odds is much like that of a Spartan, giving a light chuckle and telling the angel to train in Sparta to become a better warrior.

''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12929066/1/God-of-War-Not-All-Gods God of War - Not All Gods]]'' is a {{Crossover}} OneShotFic between ''VideoGame/GodOfWarPS4'' and ''VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising''.

After the events of ''VideoGame/GodOfWarPS4'', Kratos finds himself called to Skyworld, where he meets someone he thought he would never see again. However, his reputation has not decreased across realms, and when the normally peaceful land of [[VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising Skyworld]] learns of his upcoming arrival, they panic at the thought of a visit by the Ghost Of Sparta. Will Kratos relapse to his old self, or will something more peaceful result?

!!''God of War - Not All Gods'' provides examples of:
* AdaptationExpansion: The side effects of Kratos killing Hades are expanded, as not only did the dead wander aimlessly, but those in Elysium were nearly erased, escaping into portals, and Calliope ended up in Skyworld.
* TheAtoner: Palutena notes Kratos has become this: no longer seeking to destroy, he seeks to make up for his past sins.
* ButNowIMustGo: Kratos finds his time in Skyworld cut short, and while Calliope begs for him not to leave, he tells her that the quest he is about to embark is one with no place for a pure soul like hers.
* CowardlyLion: A variant. Palutena is genuinely afraid of death due to what Kratos could do, but she remains firm in her stance, and is comforted by Calliope.
* CryIntoChest: What Calliope is reduced to when Kratos leaves, crying on Palutena's chest at the loss of her father. The Goddess of Light strokes her hair and suggests that perhaps someday, he'll come back.
* DeclarationOfProtection: When Kratos has to return to his quest back in Midgard, he asks Palutena to protect Calliope in his stead and keep her happy. Palutena smiles and reassures him that he has nothing to worry about. Most notably, it's the first time he genuinely believes a god's word.
* DemographicDissonantCrossover: The gore-filled, CrapsackWorld of the ''VideoGame/GodOfWar'' series is crossed with the much more kid-friendly ''VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising''.
* TheDreaded: Kratos is this to Skyworld, as someone who destroyed an entire pantheon. When Pit readies himself to fight him, Palutena instead begs him to avoid fighting him.
* {{Foil}}: Kratos and Pit are both servants to a god/goddess, but the way things turned out for them were vastly different, leading to radically different outlooks on deities.
** Kratos became a servant to Ares in desparation, and the JerkassGods he served never rewarded him for his labors and then betrayed him, leading him to rebel against them and kill them. As a result, Kratos is untrusting of gods and goddesses, believing that they won't help ordinary men and women, and is dour and regretful.
** Pit is a servant to Palutena out of loyalty, and, being a NiceGirl, she cherishes him greatly, worrying about him deeply even if trolling him at times. As a result, he holds UndyingLoyalty to her, willing to protect her even if he were to die in the process. As such, Pit also is much healthier mentally speaking, being happier and more cheerful.
* GodIsGood: Just like canon, Palutena is benevolent and loving to humanity, and Kratos himself acknowledges that had the Greek Gods been like her, things would have ended very differently. At the end of the story, he tells Atreus that he was right: not all gods are bad.
* HappilyAdopted: Despite being from another world, Calliope is happily taken in by Palutena as her daughter, and she comes to love her new family.
* JerkassGod: Lampshaded by Pit's reaction to Kratos's past, where he's horrified to learn that the gods were so terrible that Kratos ended destroying Greece.
* JustAKid: A variant. Kratos calls Pit "a boy with bird wings", and denotes him as "boy" as a result. Pit gets sick of it soon enough.
* SourOutsideSadInside: Kratos is still this. He's still unfriendly and brusque to Pit, but he's shown to be saddled with remorse and self-loathing for destruction he caused.
* TearsOfJoy: Kratos and Calliope shed these upon their reunion, as both believed they would never see each other again.
* TitleDrop: The final line of the story: "Not all gods are bad".
* UndyingLoyalty: As always, Pit has nothing but utter loyalty to Palutena, and despite knowing that Kratos could most likely kill him, he refuses to let him see the Goddess of Light until convinced by her to stand down.
* WorthyOpponent: Kratos acknowledges that Pit's willingness to fight to the end no matter the odds is much like that of a Spartan, giving a light chuckle and telling the angel to train in Sparta to become a better warrior.
* YearInsideHourOutside: Similar to Helheim, time passes slower in Midgard compared to Skyworld. While Kratos felt he was in Skyworld for 5 days, Atreus explains that barely any time passed in Midgard.
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Palutena reassures Kratos that she doesn't see him as a monster, but as a man who made mistakes and wants to make up for them, and one who wants to ensure a better future for those he cares for.
