* AnythingThatMoves: Deidara seems this way while drunk, but that may just be an act, considering everything else he/she does.

* ADateWithRosiePalms: Hilariously enough, this is what Konan assumes Hidan's doing in chapter nine, when he wants to keep her out of the room so that she doesn't find Deidara.

* DismissedGender: If the story isn't there yet, it's heading that way.

* AmbiguousDisorder: Played with. While Zetsu, the resident psychologist (he got the degree because he was bored and curious), isn't sure ''exactly'' what's wrong with Deidara, he and Sasori are sure that there is definitely ''something'' wrong. Frequently mentioned are schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and clinical depression. The other Akatsuki members are well aware of these issues, and at one point we see very clearly that Deidara likely also has some level of Abandonment Issues.
** Eventually subverted, when Deidara is very specifically diagnosed with pyromania, schizophrenia (this one is debatable due to [[BreakingTheFourthWall the author's involvement]]), and Type II Bipolar Disorder.
** Played with in regards to Sasuke: his sanity is breaking because of the pressure that being the Irrationality Locus puts on him.

* EverythingsBetterWithPenguins: Subverted. Deidara gets a penguin summoning contract while drunk once, but never uses it due to the incident that got him the contract being the same one that made him utterly ''terrified'' of penguins.
* ExactWords: Once in a while.

* FlatWhat: A favorite of the author's.

* KillEmAll: See ApocalypseHow above.

* {{Bishonen}}: Deidara, in chapter four, teases Neji and calls him a "white-eyed pretty boy."

''Gender Confusion'' is a ''Manga/{{Naruto}} fanfic where Akatsuki members gossip about Deidara's gender. Deidara finds it funny, and so decides to {{troll}} everyone by being as andryognous as possible.

[[Manga/{{Naruto}} Deidara]] doesn't get angry when people mistake his gender. He actually finds it hilarious. So catching wind of gossiping Akatsuki members doesn't lead to lots of explosives. It just leads to lots and lots of trolling of his comrades. Sasori is not amused. Fem!Dei, but not. Sort of. No one's really all that sure, at this point.

Take a dose of {{crack|Fic}}. Add in a large dash of [[WholesomeCrossdresser cross]][[CreepyCrossdresser dressing]]. Toss in some AlternativeCharacterInterpretation. You have yourself the three main ingredients in Gender Confusion.

* AffablyEvil: Most of Akatsuki actually comes across like this, even Hidan.

* IllGirl: Itachi's illness is dragged into the open midway through for all of Akatsuki to see, and then forced to suffer through [[DeadlyDoctor Sasori's ministrations]].

* KnifeNut: [[spoiler: [=TenTen=]]] is one of these in recent chapters, so much so that Sasori is impressed by her knowledge.
