* ThreeLawsCompliant: Karen mentions repeatedly that her programming involves the "Ultron Safeguard", a list of rules and parameters set in place to keep her from [[AIIsACrapshoot going rogue in the same way that Ultron did]].

** Even after surviving the USJ Incident and the Sports Festival, Izuku is still unnerved by elevators, clowns and his neighbor's large dog.

* TheAce: Peter has scored so well on all the tests at UA so far that he earned this nickname by the second day of classes. It isn't wholly undeserved with how high he scored on the entrance exams practical and the fact that he scored the highest on the physical evaluation on the first day. He ''really'' cements his status as the ace of the first years during the Sports Festival. First, he blows past everyone in the obstacle course, finishing before anyone else even makes it to the Fall, and sets the second highest record for finish time in the schools history. Then during the War of the Flags, he fends off everyone who tries to stop him, at one point taking down Eijiro, Tetsutetsu, and Mina at the same time. It gets to the point that he starts to garner a reputation as "the next All Might".

* AdaptationalWimp: Downplayed. The Hero Killer Stain isn't nearly as big of a threat here as he was in-canon. [[spoiler: While it took the combined might of Izuku, Shoto and Iida to exhaust canon!Stain into submission, here Izuku and Peter were able to dispatch fanfic!Stain fairly quickly. This is done with realistic consequences at play, as while he actually succeeded in killing Native, by the time Izuku and Peter find him he was already worn down from a fight against Yoroi Musha and Momo, not to mention that Peter has way more experience and a larger threshold of abilities than his peers and Izuku was able to figure out how to manage One For All earlier and thus has more experience in using it.]]

* AllWebbedUp: Peter uses his web-shooters as his main means of restraining people, and even gets them authorized for use at the Sports Festival. Likewise, Momo finds his web fluid formula so effective, that a paintball gun loaded with web balls becomes one of her go to weapons.

** It only comes up in a passing conversation, but Mt. Lady expresses envy towards Ant Man over the fact that he can control his size easier than she can, and has more options regarding how he does so (can shrink as well as grow).

** Bakugo lost his first place entrance exams slot to Peter and was bumped further down on the physical fitness test on the first day of school and it ''infuriates'' him. During the Sports Festival, he's absolutely pissed when Peter beats him in obstacle course and fends him off in War of the Flags. Once people start comparing Peter to a young All Might thanks to his performance, Bakugo's rage reaches new heights. After Bakugo [[spoiler:ends up on the wrong side of a brutal CurbStompBattle against him, he's forced to face the reality that Peter is better than him in all categories and he has barely made a scratch on him.]]

* AscendedExtra: Mt. Lady is given more focus and depth here due to Peter being her ward; same with Pony, who becomes Peter's first friend in Japan plus taking Mineta's place in 1-A. Also, due to several students [[ForWantOfANail choosing different mentors for their internships]], some Pro Heroes appear sooner than in canon with expanded roles as well.

** Aizawa continuously tries to make Peter stop quipping all of the time because he doesn't likes it, thinking that it's Peter not taking things seriously. [[spoiler:And then he sees what is the one true thing that would make [[SadClown Peter]] [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness stop being a wisecrack]]: being so pissed off that he is willing and able to try to kill whatever or '''who'''ever drove him to such a level of wrath.]]
** On his internship, Mirko encouraged Peter to take the initiative and become a PragmaticHero. [[spoiler: She regrets it when Peter's initiative gets him to go against her wishes, and goes after Stain on both personal (hurting a classmate) and pragmatic (having a good idea of his whereabouts, and needing to act before he escapes) reasons, as Mirko risks her personal reputation if her intern gets injured while going solo.]]

* CrazyPrepared: Peter was this for the entrance exam. He was one of the only ones to bring in not only support items to help him but a full-on hero costume.
* CultureClash: When Peter first starts out, he gets in trouble for stepping into a hero vs. villain fight, as this world has strong laws against unregistered heroism. This is a realistic result of two hundred or so years of Quirks and powers being publicly-accepted things and an attempt to prevent unqualified people from getting in the way of professionals. Whereas in Peter's home universe, people with powers and abilities have only really come into prominence in the past ten years with the debut of Iron Man. (While there were heroes such as Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Ant Man, who ''did'' appear before Iron Man, they were either kept hidden from the public, deliberately kept themselves out of the public eye, or were one-offs.) As such, the MCU world doesn't have laws to deal with powered vigilantes yet.

** When Spider-Man made his debut into the MCU, Iron Man was immediately chewed out for bringing a ''kid'' on the cape scene, and Tony himself felt a mite ambivalent over it. By contrast, the Quirkverse openly encourages Peter's heroic aspirations and gives him a perfectly legal way to do a career out of it.

* CurbStompCushion: Yoroi Musha vs [[spoiler: Stain]]. While the battle is very intense and challenging for both fighters, Musha ends relatively fine, while the villain ends with serious injuries and forced to escape.
* CutLexLuthorACheck: Power Loader and Mei both comment that some of the stuff in the Iron Spider armor could make the creator very rich, not knowing that Tony Stark did not become rich based off this technology, but rather became rich''er''.

* DifferentStatesOfAmerica: Having looked into the differences between MCU!Earth and MHA! Earth, Karen divulges to Peter that this Earth's United States of America has 53 states instead of 50, the US including Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands.

* EntertaininglyWrong: Both Endeavor and Eraser Head are convinced that Peter is All Might's apprentice, due to their similar powers, both being seen as TheAce, and some misunderstood comments or behaviors from All Might. Neither have pieced together that Peter has no connection to the No. 1 hero, and that All Might is actually training Izuku Midoriya, who is considered the dead-last in his class.

* {{Expy}}: Detective-turned-manga-author Araki Hyu is two in one for [[Series/{{House}} Dr. Gregory House]] and [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Rohan Kishibe]]. He's a grouchy old man that walks with a limp and who's only interested in handling interesting cases for the authorities like House, and he uses whatever he learns when using his Quirk as inspiration for his manga like Rohan. His Quirk that allows him to read a person's memories is also based on Rohan's stand ability.

* ForWantOfANail:
** It is implied that unlike in ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'', where Thanos makes his BadassFingersnap on Earth when canon!Spider-Man was still on Titan, fanfic!Spider-Man was there when he snapped him out of existence, giving Peter a [[ShellShockedVeteran negative psychological reaction]] whenever he hears somebody snapping their fingers and him indirectly quoting Thanos[[note]]Saying "[[DespairGambit For him to feel so desperately that he was right, only to lose, all the same]]" after beating Bakugo in the TournamentArc.[[/note]] when he could not have possibly heard it.
** During the first lesson with All Might, Peter is partnered with Momo, giving the latter experience in a combat role.
*** He also shares his web formula with her, which she starts integrating as part of her arsenal.
** The whole USJ Attack. Some of them are:
*** With Mineta [[AdaptedOut not being part of Class 1-A]], his position with Tsuyu and Izuku is replaced by Kaminari, making the three of them able to escape faster, simply by throwing the electric boy into the water.
*** Peter jumps in to stall the Noumu so his classmates can rescue Aizawa and gets seriously injured for it.
*** Rather than getting captured, the Noumu [[spoiler:is killed by Momo via thermite charge.]]
** Because of a combination of Aizawa's injuries at the USJ causing him to rest instead of doing the post-USJ visits with All might and how much more traumatizing the event was for his students, he comes up with a completely different scenario for the second task of the Sports Festival that winds up being used.
** Thanks to Peter's help, Izuku figures out how to use Full Cowl before he starts his training with Gran Torino.
** Because of the boosts in their confidence (from having another English-speaking friend in Pony's case, and getting battlefield experience in Momo's), Pony and Momo take second and third place, respectively, in the obstacle course at the Sports Festival, after Peter. Iida comes in fourth, Izuku fifth, Bakugo sixth, and Todoroki seventh.
** Thanks to figuring out how to use Full Cowl before the Sports Festival, Izuku puts up a ''much'' better fight against Todoroki in the tournament phase, [[spoiler: to the point that he actually manages to beat him, albeit at the cost of injuring himself too much to continue to the semi-finals. He also ends the fight far less injured than he would have otherwise, having broken all of the fingers on his right hand and one of his legs as opposed to thoroughly destroying his right arm, thus avoiding the scarring he got from canon]].
** The winners of Sports festival wind up being quite different from canon with [[spoiler: Izuku and Ibara coming in third place, Bakugo in second, and Peter taking first place.]]
** Because Izuku learned how to use Full Cowling before meeting Gran Torino and showed off his new abilities at the Sports Festival, he doesn't intern under him like canon and instead interns under Edgeshot. Also, Uraraka and Momo choose different heroes for their internships; Uraraka gets the Wild Wild Pussycats, as she wants to specialize on rescue operations, and Momo chooses Yoroi Musha, to improve her battle proficiency.
** As stated above, several pro-heroes get to appear much sooner than in canon, many of them also [[AscendedExtra getting expanded roles]]. Among the main examples is Mirko, who becomes Peter's mentor, and Gang Orca, as Katsuki and Pony's.
** Because of the different internships, Midoriya isn't in Hosu during the Nomus' attack, and Todoroki sticks to working with his father's sidekicks, so none of them arrives to rescue Iida and Native from Stain. [[BigDamnHeroes Instead, Yoroi Musha and Momo arrive in the nick of time,]] rescuing Iida, [[spoiler: but not [[DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation Native.]]]]
** Because of all the life-or-death situations they'd been involved, 1-A's final exam is changed from Battles 2-on-1 Against A Teacher to Hero Teams Attending Emergencies, with several students teaming up to face a particular emergency (HostageSituation, Capturing Villains, [[HostileWeather Natural Disaster]]) in order to test both Teamwork and Individual Performance instead of just Battle Abilities. It's later revealed that 1-B's finals were similar, with the emergency simulations being [[BombDisposal Bomb Retrieval and Disarming]], Infiltration of a Villain Lair, and Crime Scene Investigation.
** Due to the USJ Nomu being killed by students, Dabi and Toga aren't too impressed with Shigaraki, and they get an instant, mutual dislike of him. Combined with Stain being forced to escape and later captured instead of his canon last stand in Hosu (depriving Toga and Dabi from an important motivation), they don't join The League of Villains.

* GiantWoman: Mt. Lady, AKA Yu Takeyama, is this when using her Quirk. It offers her a great deal of power and a very dedicated and... niche fan-base.

* HeadsUpDisplay: The Iron-Spider suit does this for Peter, helping him pick out the most optimal paths to get to targets that it also conveniently also marks for him.

* HeyYou: Like in canon, Bakugo does this to all his classmates. To Peter especially, he either calls him "{{Redshirt}}" or "[[PoliticallyIncorrectHero American]]" in rude tones. But also like canon, if he refers to others by their actual name, it's a sign of respect. [[spoiler:A big example of this happens in Chapter 13, where Bakugo openly refers to Peter's ''last name'' in a conversation with his father, and Masaru took note of that. By the time of the Sports Festival tournament, he starts calling Momo by her last name as well, which floors Izuku.]]

** [[spoiler:Neither Peter nor Bakugou are in a nice place in the aftermath of their fight, but Katsuki gets it a hell of a lot worse -- best way to describe his attitude is him having had his soul removed. Even when he labels both Izuku '''and''' All Might as liars for trying to reassure him with facts that go against what he believes of them, [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness Midoriya is actually somewhat scared]] when, aside from the customary "[[CatchphraseInsult stupid Deku]]", Kacchan flat-out ''pleads'' (usage of "please" included) him, in tears, to just go away. Heck, one scene even sees Bakugou staring at a drop of his sweat he holds in his palm in a way his train of thought describes as "feeling useless for all of his power" but the regular narration describes as "[[DrivenToSuicide wondering whether or not to use that little drop of nitro to blow his brains out"]].]]

* HiddenInPlainSight: Thanks to Peter better fitting the mold for All Might's potential successor and having a status as Class 1-A's "dead last", neither Aizawa or Endeavor suspect Izuku of being All Might's successor.

* IneffectualLoner: Both Bakugo and Todoroki during the War of the Flags at the Sports Festival. Thanks to their single-minded need to beat Peter, they simply [[LeeroyJenkins gun straight for him]] instead of trying to work with their team. While they do manage to hold their own and take three bands from the Red Team, Bakugo winds up costing his team two silver bands in the process. Aizawa muses that if the two of them could have put their egos aside and atually worked with their teammates, then the Blue Team would have won by a landslide instead of [[spoiler: the two teams tying, allowing Peter to beat Tenya in the tiebreaker round, which costs the Blue Team the match]].

* KarmaHoudini: Peter thinks Bakugo is this. Coming from a world without quirks and being raised to [[ComesGreatResponsibility use his powers responsibly]] in a culture that frowns upon bullying, he is quick to write Bakugo off as an annoyance when he tries throwing his weight around. His views grows into full-on {{Jerkass}} when Bakugo continually [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatPerks abuses his powers for petty fullfillments]] and [[BullyingTheDragon trying to provoke him]] with everyone looking the other way with the misguided belief that he will eventually grow out of it. [[spoiler: It is not until Bakugo mercilessly beats Pony in their Tournament fight and then arrogantly accuses the Avengers as not being real heroes because they lost does Peter's annoyance boil over into seething hatred, nearly killing him in a CurbStompBattle in what he saw as a KarmaHoudiniWarranty to [[TheGlovesComeOff prove a point]].]]
* KarmicJackpot: The reason why Edgeshot chose Izuku for his Hero Agency was because that in-spite of the Sports Festival being a competition, Izuku altruistically prioritized his opponent's well-being over his own, destroying his own body and prolonging the fight instead of winning it because Shoto Todoroki needed his help.

* LaserGuidedKarma: In their Sports Festival match, Peter humiliates Bakugo by tiring him out before completely curb-stomping him, [[BullyingTheDragon having been driven to do it]] due to Bakugo's [[{{Jerkass}} attitude]] and near-villianous actions and nearly killing (or at the very least, permanently crippling) him in the process. The U.A. Staff noticed this and fully intend on punishing Peter for it. Recognizing that Peter isn't the type of person who would do such things unprovoked, All Might volunteers to talk to him first and Peter relents and admits that he deserves the reprimanding after he had cooled down.

** As Shoji points out during the Heroes vs. Villains exercise, while his Quirk allows him to [[SuperSenses pick up sounds from far away]], he generally has to stay still to get an accurate idea of the sounds location. If he tries to track something on the move, his own movements turn into distracting background noise.

* NormalFishInATinyPond: Peter, in his world, is an inexperienced street-level hero whose power isn't that great against some of the things the Avengers go up against, such as evil AI's, alien invasions by Norse Gods, or worse. When put into his new world, he's (compared to his classmates who aren't allowed to be vigilantes) extremely experienced and his power is a terrifying combination of wall-crawling, minor precognition, and enhanced human strength and agility.

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: In-spite of his DarkAndTroubledPast, Peter still takes the time to say jokes and quip whenever he's in a rough situation. Those with quiet and stoic personalities like Aizawa think he does not take the dire situations he's in seriously enough, [[spoiler: but Aizawa can only watch with chilled awe when Peter absolutely ''decimates'' Bakugo in the TournamentArc on their one-on-one fight, dodging everything Bakugo throws at him before [[TheGlovesComeOff nearly crippling him in two hits without uttering a single word]]]]. It's so worrisome that All Might (who sensed something was wrong and tried having the fight postponed beforehand) had to step in before Peter renders Bakugo permanently crippled out of hatred for his fellow classmate.

** In one of the omakes, Kendo expresses confusion that Setsuna hitting on Peter didn't get a stronger reaction. Tsunotori calls her out on it, saying that assuming that Peter would fit into the "American" stereotype – loud and outgoing – is doing the boy a disservice, since he's not like that at all.

* PsychologicalProjection: During Bakugo's inner monologue in Chapter 6, he rants and accuses Peter for a number of things that is easily found in his own flaws. He refers to him as DumbMuscle, but Bakugo himself is guilty of being one due to letting his own [[HairTriggerTemper temper]] override his common sense. He also thinks of Peter being [[InnocentlyInsensitive ignorant]] of Japanese culture for the small habit of [[SwitchToEnglish switching]] between languages, while his entire personality doesn't follow the Japanese values at times.

** Aizawa was right to assume that All Might has a favorable eye on one of the students in Class 1-A, since he spotted the latter from afar during the Quirk Apprehension test. He thought it was Peter due to the [[SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute similarities]] of their power-sets, and was a bit surprised when All Might mention Midoriya instead.

** Peter's near-lethal final attack towards [[spoiler: Bakugo]] mirrors to the scene of Kenshin nearly breaking his [[ThouShallNotKill vow]] when push to a RageBreakingPoint. [[spoiler: For bonus points? The characters who manages to provoke them are both blond-haired, [[AttentionWhore attention whores]].]]

* SpiderSense: The TropeNamer himself. Peter has only been shown using it a handful of times to avoid most of an explosion, and to catch a ball he had no way of knowing was thrown at him, but it is apparent he has it all the same.

* SpottingTheThread: Aizawa, on seeing the Iron Spider suit and hearing Peter's backstory, knows that there's too many things that just don't add up, but he first gets suspicious when he hears that even though Peter is from Queens, he was sent to live with Mt. Lady, who is not biologically related to him and lives on the opposite side of the planet in a country where he doesn't speak the primary language.

* StealthInsult: In the Arachnobia Manga by Araki, Peter Quill is depicted as an anthropomorphic Porcupin person dressed as a cowboy. His quills "countless". In other words, Starlord is a prick

* ToBeLawfulOrGood: Once they learn about Stain almost killing Iida, Izuku and Peter, separately, start working to locate the criminal; Izuku does it on an official manner along with Edgeshot (until the later points out the legal and jurisdictional issues), while Peter does it unofficially with Karen's help (as Mirko decided to stay out of the investigation). Once they find the most possible hideout, both Izuku and Peter go there despite their mentors' official disapproval, and, by mere coincidence, arrive around the same time and start working together.

* TrappedInAnotherWorld: The premise to the story itself. Peter is trapped in the MHA world following Thanos wiping out half of the MCU universe and has no way of getting home.

** Mirko's biggest criticism for Parker is his complete and utter lack of personal initiative, citing his actions during the War of the Flags as Peter not thinking ahead and merely reacting to the opposing team and nearly losing the game as a result.

* WhatTheHellHero: Izuku gives one to Shoto about his refusal to use his fire during their match at the festival, centered around the point that Shoto deliberately handicapping himself could endanger people that might have been saved if he used all the skills at his disposal. [[spoiler:This actually gets Shoto to use his Quirk to its full capacity for the first time in years, which nearly costs Izuku the match he was handily winning before Izuku started working through Shoto's issues.]]

* ComplainingAbourRescuesTheyDontLike: Mineta cameos in the entrance exam fleeing from a three-pointer and when Peter rescues him, he tries to claim that he was going to trap the robot and accuses Peter of stealing his points. Peter notes that he can’t see any trap as he leaves.
