* KingIncognito: The Hokage occasionally makes Danzo man the complaints desk; its how he meets Barako, who thinks he's a washed-up drunk ninja who should have retired. Barako learns the hard way that he's the Hokage's advisor.

* LoveAtFirstPunch: A platonic variant with Konohamaru and Naruto. Konohamaru started to look up to Naruto when Naruto attacked him when Konohamaru tried to ambush his grandfather. Naruto was first person to not to kiss up to him and actually get angry at him for his actions.

* DoubleStandardAbuseFemaleOnMale: Subverted, [[CoolBigSis Suzume]] teaches Naruto that he shouldn't take Sakura's abuse and that his crush is unhealthy. Tolerating someone's abuse is not how love works. Naruto takes her advice and Sakura learns quickly that it was ''only'' Naruto's crush that let her land a hit.
