The Doctor's own Estuary accent is mentioned early on in Holmes's thoughts. Kit deliberately switches from a Midwestern accent to a middle-class London one in 1940s New Mexico.

* BeautyEqualsGoodness: We know DavidTennant and MattSmith, and [[Tropers/AleineSkyfire Skyfire's]] illustrations with Holmes and Watson base the pair's looks off of JeremyBrett and David Burke. Of course, [[CareyMulligan Sally]] is a beautiful young woman, and then there's Beth, be it [[WesternAnimation/SherlockHolmesInTheTwentySecondCentury her canonical design]], the illustrations, or [[LivTyler her face-claim]]. Beth also teases Holmes by mentioning that InspectorLestrade is not bad-looking, himself. [[spoiler:Moriarty and Moran]] are never described in very great detail, other than both often wearing malicious expressions.
