After the whole mess with Midnight Sparkle, Cinch gets some well deserved comeuppance. But after seeing her get hers, Twilight begins to wonder why she should have got off so easy while her principal gets all the blame.

* PeriodShaming: Sci-Twi has a vision of Midnight Sparkle enticing her to take revenge on those who hurt her, including Fleur de Lis, who bullied her and made fun of her when she got her period for the first time in the school's locker room.

* YouMonster: The point of divergence from canon is Cinch trying to pull this on Twilight after the climax. It doesn't work.

Super OCD is no longer a trope. Moving examples to other tropes when applicable.

* TheShrink: Princess Twilight has been seeing a psychiatrist for her SuperOCD semi-regularly ever since the events of "Lesson Zero", and recruits him to help Sci-Twi with her own PTSD.

* ChoresWithoutPowers: Sunset Shimmer remembers when she was still Princess Celestia's apprentice, and still arrogant and power-hungry. When she was caught trying to learn forbidden knowledge and then argued that she deserved to rule as her mentor's equal, Celestia suspended her magic lessons and made her wash dishes in the royal kitchen by hoof, and told the guards to put a [[PowerNullifier horn ring]] on her if she resisted.

* UpliftedAnimal: Averted. Spike mentions that while the Equestrian magic gave him the ability to talk, it didn't make him any smarter than he already was. This temporary makes everyone (aside from vegetarians Flutteshy and Sunset) a little guilt about eating meat until Spike mentions that farm animals aren't sapient.

These examples of Surprisingly Realistic Outcome seem to violate at least one of these rules, which disqualifies them: No character reactions (characters get angry, don't forgive, don't change their personality instantly, etc.); Too fantastical (depends on the properties of magic, powers, sci-fi tech, monsters, etc.); Not surprising (a character was warned about the outcome, it's used to provide Karma or An Aesop, or it simply follows normal conventions for this genre or medium); Plot happens (the example only describes an event, but not why audiences would expect a different, unrealistic outcome); Not an outcome (a character just explains why something wouldn't work as expected); More of a Deconstruction (the event has major, lasting effects on the plot, make something more realistic, but not completely realistic, or a parody/fanwork applies realistic consequences to the events of a different work); or fits better under a different trope. See the trope's definition for more details. If you believe a removal was a mistake, please bring it up in the cleanup thread.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** At the beginning of the story, Sunset tells Princess Twilight that her human counterpart is doing much better now, and is suffering less nightmares (even going through an entire night without them). However, when Rarity, Sunset, and Sci-Twi suddenly get telekinesis without ponying up, Human Twilight freaks out and locks herself in the bathroom. Since out-of-control magic was what caused the whole Midnight Sparkle fiasco in the first place, it's understandable why Sci-Twi would fear gaining permanent magical abilities. It also takes a bit for the others to convince Sci-Twi to come out, showing that traumatic experiences like what she went through take a long time to recover from. As things get worse, Princess Twilight gets Doctor Heart to be Sci-Twi's therapist.
** While young Starlight Glimmer is now being raised in a loving environment, she's still heavily affected by Sunburst's abandonment and the OrphanageOfFear, and some of her fanatical behavior from her older retgoned self (albeit directed at class divides rather than Cutie Marks) have started to crop up. This reminds the reader that personality has many factors, and that the chance Starlight could become the unhinged maniac she was in the original timeline is still there even though she's much better off now.
** Twilight is fully aware that retgoning the original Starlight killed her, and there's still a lot of possible ramifications that came from doing that. And Twilight feels that she doesn't deserve to be filly Starlight's mom because of those reasons.
** Twilight didn't ignore the fact that the caretakers at the orphanage Starlight grew up in were downright abusive; one of the first things she did after getting Starlight settled into the present day was using her authority to track them down and arrest them for foal neglect. And instead of closing down the place, she personally hired a trustworthy staff and is keeping regular tabs on the orphanage in an effort to change it for the better.
** After Rainbow Dash kicks one of the Changeling lackeys who were trying to [[spoiler: kidnap Sci-Twi]] in the crotch as an act of self defense, he immediately collapses in agony and starts vomiting. He actally has to be sent to the hospital when the police show up to arrest him and the others.
** Spoiled Rich lost her job on the school board when it was discovered how she was treating her daughter and how she blackmailed Cheerilee into not punishing her. Twilight also had Foal Protection Services put her underneath their watch, straining her marriage.
** "Humans VIII" reveals that [[spoiler: Rainbow Dash was warned that using a brick to fight off Sci-Twi's kidnappers could have counted as assault. However, the police ultimately don't press charges because while Rainbow took things a bit too far, she was still saving one of her friends from kidnappers who might have wanted to do something unsavory to her]].
