* Bro's rapping vetriloquist dummy Lil' Cal in ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'' shares a large number of traits with Franklin from ''Series/ArrestedDevelopment'', one of Hussie's favourite shows.

* ''TheLawOfPurple'' has several characters who are explicitly expies of ''Anime/YuGiOh'' characters: Lette, who is Seto Kaiba with boobs and a sense of humor, Juni, who is based on Alister, and Carli/y/eigh, who is Zigfried von Schroeder.

* The characters of MikeBookseller all work at a stand in for Barnes & Noble called Booksellers. Another bookstore (standing in for the now extinct Borders chain) appeared in the comic by the name of Booktraders.

* Cale'anon, TheHero of ''LookingForGroup'' is an '''accidental''' parody of [[TheLegendOfDrizzt Drizzt]]. The creators, Ryan Sohmer (the writer) and Lar De Souza (the artist), claim that they had never heard of Drizzt before creating the comic. It should be noted, though, that Sohmer fully acknowledged the Snafu after finally reading a ''TabletopGame/ForgottenRealms'' book by R.A. Salvatore, and thought it incredibly humorous that he'd written such a perfect parody of the character. This accidental parody probably also stems from the fact that Sohmer has commented several times about having played ''DungeonsAndDragons'' since childhood, and is well known as a player of ''WorldOfWarcraft''. Cale was originally a parody of the quintessential Ranger/Hunter, which Drizz't himself just happens to be; this led to an accidental parody being done ''on purpose'', as it were.
