Being played by Creator/MollyRingwald certainly doesn't hurt her popularity.

* Fred Andrews, for being far and away the [[GoodParents nicest and most supportive father]] on a show where basic decency seems to be a rarity among the parents of Riverdale, for being one of the few consistently moral characters in general, and for being a kind, honest, likable person all around.

* Cheryl, for her bitchiness actually being quite entertaining, and the subsequent HiddenDepths showing her sympathetic side.

* Josie and the Pussycats are also well-liked by the fandom, who wishes they would get more screentime.
* FP Jones gained enough popularity for fan celebrations when it was announced that he'd be made a regular for Season 2.
* Reggie Mantle is pretty well-liked, whether portrayed by Ross Butler (Season 1) or Charles Melton (Season 2). He receives a lot of adoration for his constant snarky comments and his dry sense of humor.
* Hiram Lodge is really loved despite being a criminal and a shady, morally corrupt person who may possibly be evil and up to no good. Much of his adoration is because he's very much a hot daddy who's rich, charismatic, and physically attractive. Plus, he's portrayed by ''Mark Consuelos'', so of course he's going to get lots of love.
