Many viewers thought he should have been [[NonGameplayElimination ejected by production]] '''many''' episodes before it happened.production]], but he was instead let off with a warning; and none of the players were willing to vote him out because he was a perfect scapegoat that would be guaranteed to lose in the finals. He managed to survive to the Final Six, and only left because he inappropriately touched someone ''again'' and provoked production to finally throw him out.

* In ''46'', Q became one after making an ass of himself at the final ten Tribal Council by trying to get people to vote him out after his six person alliance wouldn't follow his plans. Not only did that plan not work, but everyone was so pissed by Q's antics that he went down to the bottom of the totem pole and being an easy target. By the final six, he's still in the game as some people were considered bigger threats due to possessing idols.

Removing flamebait.

* From ''Ghost Island'', Wendell and Domenick were heavily considered to be the biggest threats in the game with many people attempting to get rid of them. Unfortunately, thanks to Laurel constantly keeping them in her endgame plans despite the very fact that [[WhatAnIdiot she admitted she couldn't beat them]], they made it to the Final Tribal Council together, and thanks to the tie at the very end, they effectively became the final two in a way.

* Sean Rector wound up surviving several situations in ''Marquesas'' that previously had been inescapable deathtraps. After keeping himself safe despite butting some heads on his first tribe, Sean is swapped into a minority on the Rotu tribe and is slated to be the next one to go from there. He escapes however, when John inexplicably decides Gabriel needs to go and Rotu wins the two other immunity challenges. Once at the merge Sean and Rob are instantly put on the bottom of the pecking order, but once Rob is eliminated he helps orchestrate ''Survivor's'' first ever power shift and buys himself fifth place. Not bad for someone constantly targeted from episode 4.
