* Tropers/{{Excel-2010}}. All of ''Manga/KOn'' [[http://www.japanator.com/the-case-for-k-on-what-s-the-big-deal--14723.phtml didn't faze me]]. I just don't get why anyone feels as they do about it.

* This troper is 9 episodes into ''Anime/GundamReconguistaInG'', and while he doesn't think it's the worst ''{{Franchise/Gundam}}'' series, he is wondering if it would have been a better use of his time to go into the supposedly [[SnarkBait extremely snarkable]] ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEEDDestiny'', as snarking at anime is something he quite enjoys.

* So I decided to watch ''WesternAnimation/SonicSatAM'' once, sat through all 26 episodes. Really generic 90s cartoon, I can honestly say that I wouldn't have given a rip about if it didn't have Sonic in it. And even that small shred of interest died once I realized that you could replace Sonic with [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Poochie]] and not change a thing.

* I read ''Discworld/TheColourOfMagic'' and ''Discworld/TheLightFantastic'' in one go and immediately afterwards forgot everything that happened in a dismal haze. Except the upside-down mountain with dragons in it, or on it, or something. It was kinda cool. If I remember right. (This CMOI is especially weird because ''Discworld/GuardsGuards'' has held particular meaning for me ever since I first read it, not knowing of the wider series, at age twelve.)

* I saw ''Disney/{{Dinosaur}}'' when it came out in theaters. It was okay but I like ''WesternAnimation/TheLandBeforeTime'' better.

* I never cried over [[Disney/TheLionKing Mufasa's death]]. Nor I understand the drama.

* I found Disney/{{Frozen}} entertaining but forgettable.

* ''Disney/BigHero6'' was largely forgettable in every area save the stunning animation. A feast for the eyes, but dull Disney-lite on everything else.

* I'm a big ''Franchise/StarWars'' fan, but to be honest I couldn't care less whether or not [[TheDogShotFirst Han shot first]]. And yes, [[NoTrueScotsman you can do that]] and still be a fan.

* 90% of MMOs I play, I get bored with after a week or so when I realize that there's no end goal.

* I seem unable to show the appropriate emotional reaction for plot twist or dramatic event in fictional work without preparing myself. For instance in the ''Literature/HarryPotterandtheHalfBloodPrince'' water cave scene, when I read it I really didn't think much about it, just kept reading. Only when I talked to other fans who went on about the NightmareFuel and squickiness of it did I think to interpret it as such. Ditto for Dumbledore's death. BIG TEARJERKER for everybody, okay-when's-the-next-book-out for me. This happens all the time with literature and some movies, even though I am a fairly emotional person most of the time (all most more so than I'd like). Am I selectively apathetic or missing something important?

* I read ''[[Literature/LordOfTheRings The Fellowship of the Ring]]''. It was okay, but I wasn't really interested in reading the rest.

** I read Literature/LordOfTheRings in its entirety. Upon rereading, I skipped the parts with Frodo because another half was interesting.
** People keep telling me I need to read Literature/LordOfTheRings. I tried a few times, but never really got into it, I guess.
* I got halfway through "Literature/TheFaultinOurStars" before I got too bored with the plot and too annoyed with the characters to finish. Watched the movie and the only thing I liked about it was the blind dude. Didn't care enough about Augustus to cry [[spoiler: when he died.]] The [[spoiler: dog dying]] in "Film/MarleyAndMe" made me more far more emotional to be honest.

* Finally played ''VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance.'' For a game that everyone seems to worship, I found it... dull, at best. ''VideoGame/{{Bayonetta}}'' or ''Franchise/DevilMayCry'' blow it out of the water by comparison.

** This was how I felt about the 2009 ''Film/StarTrek'' film. I literally remember maybe 2 minutes of it.

* After seeing so much gushing and controversy surrounding it, I finally sat down and watched ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic''. [[AwesomeArt Outside of the gorgeous animation,]] it was simply okay. Not as good as the fans made it out to be, not as bad as the haters made it out to be. Just... okay.

* Loved each successive VideoGame/AssassinsCreed (even if the original's gameplay is tedious), including ''Revelations'' and ''III'', and thought ''[[VideoGame/AssassinsCreedBlackFlag Black Flag]]'' was the best since ''[[VideoGame/AssassinsCreedII II]]'', but then a combination of lousy internet and a 7GB patch to fix the bugs in ''Videogame/AssassinsCreedUnity Unity]]'' made me suddenly realize I just didn't care about finishing the game or continuing with the franchise.

** Read every Harry Potter book (including ''Theatre/HarryPotterAndTheCursedChild'') out of a sense of obligation to my friends who are all over it, and while I found them reasonably entertaining, they did nothing for me emotion-wise. The supposedly deep philosophical messages were clichéd, shallow or outright immoral, and I never felt attached enough to any of the characters that I would laugh with them or feel sad for them. To each their own, I guess.

* I don't know why {{Brave}} is so famous, is plain.

** I mean, it wasn't all that bad. But really, it was just JossWhedon doing the same thing he'd been doing for the past six seasons on Buffy, and we were supposed to be impressed by his post-modern riffs on narrative (which we've seen before) and a non-existent genre (the spaghetti sci-fi western)? Say what you will about Series/{{Dollhouse}}, but at least he tried to get out of his comfort zone and make something fresh.
