** Brock was this to many first-timers in ''PokemonRedAndBlue'', where he has a type advantage against nearly ALL of the Pokémon you can catch up to that point. The battle can be ''very'' difficult if one chose Charmander.

** ''PokemonBlackAndWhite'' have [[spoiler:[[AntiVillain N]] versus [[BaitAndSwitchBoss Alder]]. N utterly wastes Alder with his ''legendary Pokemon'', in one of the biggest OhCrap moments in the series.]]

* The final battle of ''{{Fallout 3}}''. On one side, we have the Enclave with an advantage in numbers and equipment. On the other side, we have the Brotherhood of Steel, having an advantage in training. Now ''this'' will be a lively bat- oh wait, the Brotherhood has [[spoiler:a 200-year old, radically anti-communist HumongousMecha, which also conveniently believes that the Enclave are communists]].

* The first battle of ''{{Mother 3}}'' pits a Mole Cricket against your two low-level characters. It's easy, albeit not quite Curb Stomp easy. Later in the game, you find the Mole Cricket again, who challenges your higher-leveled team of four. The Mole Cricket has a higher Speed stat the second time, but all that means is that he gets to hit you once for ScratchDamage; all his other stats are the same, so he's unlikely to get even a second hit.

* The BossRush rematch against Metal Man in ''Game/MegaMan 2''. Hit him once (in Normal mode) [[HoistByHisOwnPetard with his own weapon]] that [[MegaManning you got from beating him earlier]]. [[OneHitKill Laugh]].

* In ''{{Prototype}}'', you can have literal curb stomp battles with human enemies. There is a move aptly called [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Curb Stomp]], which will surely kill the poor bastard beneath your heel. One of the [[ImAHumanitarian consume]] animations does it automatically.

** Also, if you've been a pacifist and kept the truce, Krotera gets one-shotted by a mook.
** The creator of the game actually [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLzLxfe4Rrk showed off a number of tricks]], including how to take down Krotera with a cracked shotgun/machinegun - thus stunlocking him.

** Link taking on the entire Bulbin camp, it didn't end well for them.

** Also, Sephiroth curb stomps Cloud for the majority of their battle in Advent Children, even while not taking the battle that seriously.

* The ThreeAmigos of ''KingdomHeartsBirthBySleep'' are on the receiving end of a hopeless curb-stomp battle against the [[spoiler:BigBad Xehanort and TheDragon Vanitas [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehgwv0CwQuA in their cinematic final battle]]]], in one of the most sad moments of the game.

* Brutally subverted in ''MetalGearSolid4'', when Meryls entire Task Force surrounds Ocelots single patrol boat to arrest him. Out gunned by 1 to 100, with several patrol boats and helicopters circling him, Ocelot doesn't think of surrendering, so Meryl orders to open fire. [[spoiler:But because Ocelot already got control of the Doomsday device, absolutely nothing happens and the attackers' entire equipment array shuts down. Cut off from their emotion control system, the soldiers break down with [[HeroicBSOD shell shock]] and then Ocelot turns everything into a CurbStompBattle in his own favor.]]

* Two examples from ''MassEffect2'': The Normandy, despite representing the cutting edge of Alliance tech and having gotten the killing blow on Sovereign, gets utterly eaten by the Collector cruiser. Upgrading the Normandy [=SR2=]'s weaponry lets Joker [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome take an eye for an eye.]]

** Make that three examples from ''MassEffect2'' with "The Arrival" [[DownloadableContent DLC]] where [[{{Badass}} Shepard]] [[spoiler:[[OneManArmy annihilates an entire base of infantry, elite soldiers, and heavy mechs (think walking tanks) by him/herself.]] [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome S/he did this after being heavily sedated for two days.]]]]

** The recent debut trailer for ''MassEffect3'' indicates that while the humans of Earth (and presumably the rest of the species of the galaxy) are putting up a valiant effort against the [[AbusivePrecursors Rea]][[SapientShip pers,]] it's pretty one-sided.

** Maybe if they make BG3 we'll find a scroll of [[TheComputerIsACheatingBastard Rapture of the Fathers]].

* The lower the difficulty setting of ''{{Prototype}}'', the more likely every fight will be this.

* The final four boss battles Between Link and Gannondorf In ''TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess'', qualifies as one of these. What makes this one unique from other ones is that those playing the Wii version are literally fighting the BigBad. Especially in the fourth and final fight.

* In ''{{Pokemon}}'' ''[[PokemonGoldSilverAndCrystal Gold, Silver, Crystal]]'', and their remakes, Lance makes one of his Dragonite Hyper Beam a man at point blank range, and apparently full force. ..Ouch. He survives, though. And yet Lance can't Hyper Beam a few doors for you.

* [[spoiler:Kuzuki]] Vs Saber in ''FateStayNight'' is a crushing defeat for Saber, who has NO idea what is going on while being effortlessly pummeled and having her neck ripped apart before being slammed into a wall at about 120 miles an hour. To be fair, nobody had the slightest idea that [[spoiler:a high school teacher would have such amazing fighting prowess. And he knows perfectly well it wouldn't work a second time.]] A little later in the route, [[TheWorfEffect Berserker]] is utterly crushed by Gilgamesh, though it's noted that if he HAD managed to close the gap between them, he would have won instantly. He almost does manage to do it [[spoiler:except Gilgamesh cheats and has Enkidu, chains for snaring divine opponents such as Berserker and Lancer and even Rider (not Medusa, but [[FateZero Alexander the Great]])]].
** Considering Rider is [[spoiler: Medusa]] and one of her skills is actually divinity, Enkidu would probably work perfectly on her. We just never get a chance to see it considering she always dies first in the routes Gil gets to do anything.

* All player characters in ''RuneScape'', they basically have unlimited potential and can end up over a hundred times stronger than the average citizen.

* The ThreeAmigos of ''KingdomHeartsBirthBySleep'' are on the receiving end of a hopeless curb-stomp battle against the [[spoiler:BigBad Xehanort and TheDragon Vanitas [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehgwv0CwQuA in their cinematic final battle]], in one of the most sad moments of the game.

** Unfortunately for him, Sephiroth has also been on the receiving end of a [=CSB=] in the end of FinalFantasy7: all he can do is attack for 95% of your remaining health (never enough to kill you), and Cloud will terminate him with a single Omnislash.

*** Also happen in story as the team's attempt to assassinate Edea fails misably when [[OhCrap she stops Irvine's bullet,]] and [[CutscenePowerToTheMax one-shot Squall with her Ice Strike.]]

** In fact, if you defeat Sephiroth, you will likely be pummeled to an inch of your life. Take note of that, because in the following cutscene Sephiroth is casually brushing off his shoulder pauldron, not even tired.

** NOT CutscenePowerToTheMax. When [[spoiler: Edea regains her mind and joins your party as a GuestStarPartyMember]], she can use Ice Strike as her limit break, and it would easily be powerful enough to one-shot Squall when he first fought her.

* InazumaEleven: Taikoku match in the first game. Then Gemimi, Epsilon, and Genesis in ''2''. However, you are the one being stomped, not them. The story some time force you to be stomped even harder with 0-18 or so.

* In ''Descent: [=~FreeSpace~=]'', almost every appearance of the [[BigBad enemy command ship Lucifer]] leads to a CurbStompBattle. The most powerful human-built warships in existence, [[spoiler:including the ship the player is based on, the ''GTD Galatea'']], get ripped to shreds in about five seconds whenever they try to make a stand against the ''Lucifer''.

* In ''[=~Baldur's Gate~=] II'', battles involving [[BigBad Jon Irenicus]] can be summed up by whether or not the main character is fighting against him during the battle. If not, well...

* The final boss battle in ''[=~The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask~=]'' can be this, if you have the Fierce Diety mask.

* The final showdown against [[BigBad Rodrigo]] [[CompleteMonster Borgia]] in ''[=~Assassin's Creed II~=]'' is very much this, considering that Ezio has over 20 years of experience as an Assassin and Rodrigo is a fat old man. It's even more one-sided (and literal) when the two decide to bare-knuckle brawl, especially if Ezio bought the Metal Cestus.

* The tutorial boss in ''[=~Demon's Souls~=]'' is designed to kill you in one hit. If an experienced player manages to beat him against all odds, a huge dragon (one of the final bosses) will punch him to death in a cutscene.

* In the game ''{{Breakdown}}'', when Derrick Cole first encounters Solus in a pitched battle, Solus is vastly more powerful than him, and FailureIsTheOnlyOption. But, it was pretty much AllJustADream, and when he meets Solus again, it's a more or less even battle.
