** The whole team (specifically [=KaiserNeko=]) has expressed frustration over their fans treating ''DBZA'' as BetterThanCanon, claiming they put "Please support the official release" in the OncePerEpisode disclaimer for a reason. After ''The Mary Sue'' called this series the definitive dub for ''Dragon Ball Z'', the team publicly spoke out against them, and when asked on Reddit if they should watch the original, Kaiser hit his RageBreakingPoint.

* Luke "SMG4" Lerdwichagul is not too fond of his earlier ''[[WebAnimation/Supermarioglitchy4sSuperMario64Bloopers Super Mario 64 Bloopers]]'' he made in 2011.

* LetsPlay/{{Turpster}} is not a fan of the old "Turpstervision" song (a parody of the Chuckle Brothers' introduction, "Chucklevision") that he did for an old show of his. This is in no small part because the other members of the LetsPlay/{{Yogscast}}, LetsPlay/{{Sips}} and LetsPlay/HatFilms in particular, find it hilarious, to the point that they added it as a taunt on their custom ''VideoGame/PropHunt'' server. The video was initially viewable by all, but was later made private (though it was far too late to stop reuploads, and by now the fanbase is well aware of it; they've grown to love it for being SoBadItsGood).

** According to the Channel Awesome Wiki, he retired his "Masterpiece Fanfic Theatre" series because it "wasn't enjoyable for him anymore and he didn't want to spend the energy editing and producing it."
** In 2022, he released a two-part revisit of ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'', focusing on an in-depth examination of Creator/HideakiAnno and the ''Anime/RebuildOfEvangelion'' movies. He closes the second part with an admission that he's deeply dissatisfied with his previous ''Eva'' videos, along with most of his reviews prior to 2017, citing his being part of the "vitriolic internet reviewer" theme that was so prominent back then and compromising research for the sake of jokes. That said, he makes clear that anyone who likes any of those reviews shouldn't stop liking them just because he doesn't anymore.

** They have expressed regret over some of the decisions made for ''WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged'', including depicting Rip Van Winkle as a StrawFeminist spouting memes in almost every line; a rape joke in the first episode; referring to ''WebVideo/EpicMealTime'' in episode two; and opening the series with a jab at ''Literature/

** Judging from [[https://twitter.com/Linkara19/status/376799807920037889 this Twitter conversation]], he is not a fan of the ''Angel Armor'' book series he wrote as a teenager, and was especially disappointed to learn that both books can be found on Amazon.com.
** He's admitted, in his episode on Sinnamon #1, that he hates most of the badly lit/blurry early episodes like Sinnamon #11.
** He also regrets his earlier attitude in attacking creators ''directly'' rather than criticizing writing and art decisions. This is why he changed the theme song in episode 600 and made it official starting in 2021. He's stated that the only time it's appropriate to call out a creator is if the book has things like misogynistic or racist themes, and even then it's important to limit commentary to pointing out why it's wrong and not engage in attacks on the creator or other otherwise promote toxic fandom and entitlement, which he's ashamed of having done in the past.

* Lerdwichagul is not too fond with his earlier ''Super Mario 64 Bloopers'' he made in 2011.

* Kyle Kallgren of ''WebVideo/BrowsHeldHigh'' wound up taking down his review of ''The Girlfriend Experience'' about a month after it went up on Website/ThatGuyWithTheGlasses, citing that he didn't care for some of the implications that he made about adult film stars and decided he didn't want it to represent him as a critic. He uploaded a commentary of the review instead, explaining the reasoning behind this.
** Kyle has since grown dissatisfied with his older episodes, which were straight reviews, in favor of his [[ReTool newer format]], which analyzes films from a particular angle. Only a few of these older reviews (some branded "Brows Held High Classic") remain on [=YouTube=].

* WebVideo/{{Phelous}} doesn't like his first review, ''Film/MacAndMe'', as detailed in the episode's commentary and his AprilFoolsDay video of him reviewing the review.

** They have expressed regret over some of the decisions made for ''WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged'', including depicting Rip Van Winkle as a StrawFeminist spouting memes in almost every line; a rape joke in the first episode; referring to ''WebVideo/EpicMealTime'' in episode two; and opening the series with a jab at ''Literature/{{Twilight}}'' (with a line of dialogue in the finale about "hating on a book series aimed at teenaged girls being stupid").

* Creator/DougWalker:
** He loves doing WebVideo/AskThatGuyWithTheGlasses, but due to the ultra-BlackComedy style, can't watch any of the videos without hating himself.
** Although he may be slightly embarrassed by one of his first works, starring himself as a cowboy, he uploaded it to [[Website/ChannelAwesome ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com]] anyway for all to laugh at.
** His poorly received sketch "Melvin: Brother of the Joker". The Channel Awesome re-upload of it outright referred to it as "one of Doug's worst sketches ever" in the video description. Hell, Doug ended up [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt3ylhrqxtI killing the character off]] during a donation drive, and later shared a fan-video where [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QILHwuzgSpk the Joker himself reacts violently to Melvin's video]].
** His highly obscure character "Emo Jones" may also count, having only received one sketch and having gone virtually unmentioned since.
** He has a bit of disdain for his very early Nostalgia Critic videos as well. In particular, he spends the entire commentary track for his ''WesternAnimation/CartoonAllstarsToTheRescue'' review openly criticizing his own performance, while when discussing his "Top Eleven Favorite Nostalgia Critic Videos," he mentions that he doesn't understand why his ''Film/BatmanAndRobin'' review is so popular among fans. The ''Film/ChristmasWithTheKranks'' review sends most of his 2007/2008 output to the garbage dump.
** WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic's LetsPlay he did of ''Bart's Nightmare'' fell under this rather quickly, primarily because a) it was too {{angrish}}y and b) he was on vacation and wanted to give the fans something other than commentaries. In the following episode, the Critic ended up ''going to prison'' (one symbolically placed right next to a location from [[Film/TheGarbagePailKidsMovie the movie he hates more than any other]]) for making the video and publicly apologized to the masses who wanted his blood.
** This trope was {{exploited|trope}} InUniverse by Creator/MaraWilson. She showed Doug's old videos as a kid in order to get {{revenge}} on him for mocking her work as a kid. In his commentary for that very review, Doug said that he picked the very worst movies he made, as a response to people thinking the previous Old Shame childhood movies he showed clips of weren't so bad.
** Rob Walker was never interested in ''WebVideo/DemoReel'', and only agreed to put the show into production because Doug had wanted to do it for five years.
** While he admits that the video was funny, Doug regrets how he [[http://channelawesome.com/how-i-quit-my-job/ quit his old job]] because of how unprofessional it was.
** [[ButtMonkey Nella]] from WebVideo/TheNostalgiaChick: "Rule Number One! [[WebVideo/TheNostalgiaChick We]] don't talk about Rape Rap!"
** During interviews and episodes of ''Podcast/{{Radiodrome}}'', Creator/BradJones has expressed embarrassment over his early videos as WebVideo/TheCinemaSnob. Not only was most of his early stuff shot in very poor video quality and lighting, but he also feels his presentation was too much negative ranting and not enough comedy. Also, because he originally posted them on Website/YouTube, they're often only under 8 minutes long. Despite his embarrassment, Brad just leaves the videos as they are and actually enjoys poking fun at them in his newer, better videos.

* ''WebVideo/TheCinemaSnob'': Creator/BradJones has admitted on Podcast/{{Radiodrome}} that he doesn't like his early episodes in his basement, because he had to work under a time limit, was still searching for his style and his timing was way off too. Still, he has no plans of removing or doing them again. (the only one he remade was ''Film/FridayThe13thPartVANewBeginning'', to have episodes on the whole series without relying on the old content)

* ''WebVideo/TheSpoonyExperiment''
** Spoony starts his review of ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'' by apologizing for his negative review of ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIII''. He says that even though he still thinks that ''Final Fantasy VIII'' is not a good game, he feels that it was better than later installments in the franchise and that he let his personal history with the game cloud his judgement. He also apologized for opening the review with a cheap gay joke at Zell's expense, saying "I don't know what I was thinking; I deserve every bit of flak I got for that".
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyX'' featured Spoony saying that anyone who liked the game should be hunted down and killed. He later did a commentary video over the review, admitting that while it was always intended as a joke instead of his actual opinion, Spoony now feels the line was going way too far. While he still considers ''Final Fantasy X'' to be a series low point, he was much kinder to people who liked the game.

* Creator/AllisonPregler does not think highly of ''WebVideo/ToBoldlyFlee''. Aside from the writing problems (including believing that the Walker brothers can't write women very well), there were more than a few problems on set that made the entire film not worth it. She has gone on to say that her experience with the ''WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall'' movie was much preferable.
** In general she is not fond of her work with Channel Awesome due to the mistreatment she went through and her firing. In fact, she calls out and blocks anyone who mentions CA and/or Doug Walker to her on Twitter, and at one point she decided to just block ''nearly everyone'' who followed CA. Her work with WebVideo/TheCinemaSnob is also this after falling out with Brad Jones for his actions after the Change The Channel document dropped. Likewise, after the falling out, she proceeded to block nearly all of Jones's followers.
* Many, many remixers in ''Website/YouTube'' say their remixes are crap, even if their audience likes them.

* Unrelated to quality, but when he committed suicide, a number of tributes to [[WebVideo/YouCanPlayThis Justin "JewWario" Carmical]] were made. However, when the [=#ChangeTheChannel=] movement happened and [[Website/ThatGuyWithTheGlasses Channel Awesome]]'s attempt at a response resulted in it being revealed Carmical was a sexual predator, a number of producers, who only learned about it through making the document, ended up regretting doing their tributes:
** [[WebVideo/MarzGurl Kaylyn Saucedo]], who composed the document at the heart of the movement, originally made ''Film/FarewellFamiKamenRider'' as a tribute movie. She contemplated taking it down, but kept it up because she felt it would have been unfair to everyone else that worked on it, though she also added a disclaimer in the description, disowning the movie.
** [[WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall Lewis Lovhaug]] moved up the review of ''Gameboy'' #3 when it was originally scheduled for a bit later. Like Kaylyn, Lewis edited the description of the [=YouTube=] upload for the ''Gameboy'' #3 review to say he wouldn't have done the tributes if he'd known.
** Many others, including [[WebVideo/{{Phelous}} Phelan Porteous]], are pulling the UnPerson treatment on Carmichal, taking down videos with him in it, or reediting them to either remove or replace him. Lovhaug and [[WebVideo/BennettTheSage Bennett White]] also removed [=JewWario=] hats they'd kept in honor of Carmichal. In some cases, like [[WebVideo/ThatDudeInTheSuede William DuFresne]]'s review of ''Anime/PokemonTheFirstMovie'', there's even been outright redoing the videos.

* Almost ''everyone'' who was a contributor on ''Website/ChannelAwesome'' from 2008-2015 regrets ever having anything to do with Doug Walker or any of the higher-ups of the website [[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WZFkR__B3Mk9EYQglvislMUx9HWvWhOaBP820UBa4dA/preview#heading=h.v89be0jiemu0 due to mistreatment and abuse they suffered]] while working on the website. Most have stated to the effect that they will ''never'' work with the Walker brothers again. The only exceptions are Creator/BradJones, who not only stayed with the website but has really doubled down on his support for it since the document came out; Creator/NoahAntwiler, who said that he didn't like Channel Awesome's management team but misses working with Doug and Rob; and, to a lesser extent, Creator/LewisLovhaug, who says that he did consider Doug and Rob friends and had a problem more with Mike Michaud than he did with them[[note]]However, considering The Walkers ended their friendship with him once he quit the website, [[https://twitter.com/ERodBuster1/status/1158462368524984322 he's changed his mind about that]][[/note]].
** Especially pronounced with Creator/AllisonPregler, who not only regrets anything she did with Doug and Rob but Creator/BradJones as well. While she initially stayed friends with Jones despite the latter's decision not to leave Channel Awesome, after Jones went on an interview with WebOriginal/DoubleToasted where he dismissed the controversy and said things like "Apologize, even if you don't mean it!" and "Well, Creator/LoganPaul filmed a dead body and he still has a career", she immediately ended her friendship with him. Whenever she has mentioned him since, [[https://twitter.com/AllisonPregler/status/1193449911439810561 it has not been pretty]]. It has gotten to the point where she has either deleted reviews they were in together or edited him out of reviews, and called the movies she was in that he directed "shitty". She's gained a reputation of lashing out and blocking not only anyone who mentions Doug and/or Brad on her Twitter, but anyone who merely ''follows them'' on the site.
* Creator/LindsayEllis has stated that she has no good memories of WebVideo/TheNostalgiaChick or her time associated with Website/ChannelAwesome. She pretty much says that no one should watch any of her work from before 2015 (although she says she still likes the ''Film/FreddyGotFingered'' review). For a while, she uploaded her old videos to her retro account so other people won't upload them, under the mocking title "Nostalgic Woman", but even those have since been made private. More broadly, she [[https://twitter.com/thelindsayellis/status/1315714232990670848 believes]] that her videos as the Nostalgia Chick, and the output of Channel Awesome in general, helped to popularize a toxic brand of online media criticism in the 2010s, one that was characterized by [[CausticCritic snide, bad-faith arguments]] and an air of smug superiority to the material they were discussing. The only Nostalgia Chick videos that she doesn't seem thoroughly embarrassed about are her videos on ''Film/FreddyGotFingered'' and ''Film/TheLordOfTheRings'', going by the fact that she has reuploaded to her main channel.

* This is part of the reason why ''WebVideo/WhatTheCut'' was cancelled by its creator after the 37th episode. A combination of burnout, pressure to live up to expectations and ScheduleSlip were present, but Antoine Daniel has numerous times adressed that he also felt like his series' premise (making fun of weird Internet videos with a CausticCritic character) was needlessly cruel and mean, comparing it to bullying, towards people whose only mistake was to be eager about their unusual passions or have unfortunate failures along the way.

* According to the Channel Awesome Wiki, WebVideo/BennettTheSage retired his "Masterpiece Fanfic Theatre" series because it "wasn't enjoyable for him anymore and he didn't want to spend the energy editing and producing it."

*** And the most shameful of all: the trope PaedoHunt was first launched with the name '''All Pedophiles Are Child Molesters'''. This caused actual pedophiles to discover the wiki and mistakenly think that it was a haven for them, dramatically increasing the amount of {{Squick}} on the pages (especially those that heavily mention children) and ultimately leading to Administrivia/TheSecondGoogleIncident, which [[ForWantOfANail changed the culture of the wiki ever since]].

* [[Creator/AchievementHunter Ryan Haywood]] quickly became tired of his "I'm still in the air!" line. He's since calmed down about it, but seems to have transferred most of his hate to "[[ItMakesSenseInContext Give me your milk!]]" Doesn't help that his coworkers turned both those quotes into shirts and promoted them heavily. ''Definitely'' doesn't help that they later did [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euwwOobEgRE this]].

** He's also not fond of his Film/SnowDay review, as he was editing that review using his new Macbook, which made the editing of the review a bit wonky as he was still learning how to use iMovie. Not only that but he feels that there were things he wish he talked about but, because he spent some of the review nitpicking really little things or talking about some trivia about the movie that didn't matter, he didn't have the time to do so, as it would have made the review even longer. Funnily enough, this review actually had the most views on his channel, before it was taken down by Viacom.

** Rooster Teeth as a whole hates ''Machinima/TheStrangerhood'' because, unlike ''Machinima/RedVsBlue'' using easy-to-control games like ''Franchise/{{Halo}}'', trying to get the characters to work with their script in ''VideoGame/TheSims'' was a total and complete chore. When a second season was made, one of the end credits has a credit directing their ire at the person who let season two get greenlit.
* None of the LetsPlay/{{Yogscast}} members (specifically Lewis, LetsPlay/SimonLane, LetsPlay/{{Sips}}, LetsPlay/{{Sjin}} and LetsPlay/DuncanJones) who worked on the [[Machinima/YogscastMinecraftSeries Jaffa Factory series]] are really fond of the bee breeding and power supply part of it. In part 7 of [=MoonQuest=], Simon explicitly says that once the Jaffa Cakes started being shipped onto the truck, the series after that got "really boring". They've said that if they can find a way to breathe life back into the series and freshen it up, they will, but tell us not to hold our breath. [[spoiler:They go back to the factory in Episode 96 of Moonquest]].

This isn't him disliking the work itself and more getting angry that it got ScrewedByTheLawyers and cancelled, and getting annoyed because people keep bringing it up even after they've explained it over and over.

The script proved too unfunny and the frustration with the movie shined through too much for them to go through that they opted to cancel it.
** They've commented on their dissatisfaction with their previous episodes of ''Dragon Ball Z Abridged''. During the 57th episode of their official podcast, they stated that they would gladly redo the early episodes to fit in with the series's current style if they got the chance.

** This, ultimately, was what lead to ''DBZA'' being cancelled as Team Four Star faced way too many hurdles to keep going and they didn't want to end up [[FranchiseZombie in the same vein]] as series such as ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'', ''Series/{{Dexter}}'' and ''Series/{{Scrubs}}''.

* ''Creator/TomSka'' has clarified that he doesn't hate ''WebVideo/ASDFMovie'' itself, however he disapproves of any [=ASDF=] jokes where the punchline is a lazy LiteralMetaphor, and he's exasperated by how many people suggested those kind of jokes for a [[OfficialFanSubmittedContent fan-made ASDF episode]].

* While Creator/LewisLovhaug is generally proud of ''WebVideo/WinterOf83'', even he conceded that [[spoiler:the line "LOOK AT HIS ARMS; THEY'RE MADE OF SNOW!"]] is rather {{narm}}y.

** They have expressed regret over some of the decisions made for ''WebVideo/HellsingUltimateAbridged'', including depicting Rip Van Winkle as a StrawFeminist spouting memes in almost every line; a rape joke in the first episode; referring to ''WebVideo/EpicMealTime'' in episode two; and if a line of dialogue in the finale about hating on a book series aimed at teenaged girls being stupid is to be believed, opening the series with a jab at ''Literature/{{Twilight}}''.

* ''WebVideo/TheCinemaSnob'': Creator/BradJones has admitted on Podcast/{{Radiodrome}} that he doesn't like his early episodes in his basement, because he had to work under a time limit, was still searching for his style and his timing was way off too. Still, he has no plans of removing or doing them again.

** That being said, he feels that the episode where he criticized Brenda Song's performance in The Social Network was the absolute worst. At the time, he thought that her performance was pretty much the same performance she gave in Series/TheSuiteLifeOfZackAndCody and made that the whole focus in his video without watching the film again. After watching the clips, he realized he was wrong about that but, because he had filmed the footage, he decided to make the video anyway. Needless to say, he had no problem deleting it later on.

* According to the commentary of Episode 20 of [[WebVideo/TheMusicVideoShow The Music Video Show]], Kiara Strings says that said episode is "the worst episode of the show".

* Lucas Cruikshank, creator and star of ''WebVideo/{{Fred}}'', said in an [[http://variety.com/2012/tv/news/lucas-cruikshank-moving-beyond-fred-figglehorn-1118058833/ an article in Variety]] that he ended production because he wanted to do something else and not be forever typecast as Fred. (However, given the absolute failure of his post-Fred work, it seems this isn't working so far…)

* This is part of the reason why ''WebVideo/WhatTheCut'' was cancelled by its creator after the 37th episode. A combination of burnout, pressure to live up to expectations and ScheduleSlip were present, but Antoine Daniel has numerous times adressed that he also felt like his series' premise (making fun of weird Internet videos with a CausticCritic character) was needlessly cruel and mean, comparing it to bullying, towards people whose only mistake was to be eager about their passions or have unfortunate failures along the way.
