Sony Pictures Television is a major Hollywood television producer owned by Creator/{{Sony}} through its' Creator/SonyPictures division. The company grew out of Creator/ScreenGems, founded in 1948 as Creator/ColumbiaPictures' first entry into the burgeoning television market.
