Revolution Studios is a production company founded by former Creator/TwentiethCenturyStudios head Joe Roth in 2000 with support from Creator/ColumbiaPictures, the Creator/{{Fox}} network and the Starz network. From 2001 to 2007, Revolution was a production company for films before Roth left to produce on his own. The company now exists as a television production company for their existing properties (their first film in a decade, ''xXx: Return of Xander Cage'', was released through Creator/{{Paramount}} Pictures).

While Revolution took a hiatus from film production, they acquired several film libraries, including Morgan Creek, GK Films, Cross Creek Pictures, and Cold Spring Pictures. The company now has a digital/television distribution deal with Creator/{{Miramax|Films}}.
