Michael Jeter (August 26, 1952- March 30, 2003) was an American actor. He began his career in the theater, which culminated in his Tony Award for his performance in the musical ''Film/GrandHotel''. On television, he was a regular on the sitcom ''Evening Shade'' (for which he won an Emmy) and played Mister Noodle in the Elmo's World portion of ''Series/SesameStreet''.
