* RecognitionFailure: Gavin was actually ''permabanned from Rooster Teeth's Website/{{Twitch}} channel'' by one of their own because they thought it was a troll.

** For ''Hardcore Mini Golf'', he spends his rounds mostly dicking around, like putting ball off his back or at odd angles. However, his carefree playing style [[spoiler:allowed him to win the entire competition from the sheer fact that his opponents played much worse, especially after he lucked out in obtaining an air horn to throw off his opponent.]] During a stream discussing the show, it was revealed that Gavin and Fiona had played their entire round ''drunk''.

* AlcoholInducedIdiocy: Once in a while alcohol will make him even worse than normal. One incident of note, though, was ''Let's Play Minecraft'' Episode 2 when he [[http://youtu.be/Tihfx6DunZs?t=3m12s stole Ray's gold ingots, made them into four gold blocks, and called it the Tower of Pimps]] to everyone's annoyance. ** Ironically, when having conversations with fellow oddballs Lindsay, Chris, or Andrew Panton on the podcasts, Gavin ends up being the saner one in those conversations.

* PromotedFanboy: Was a big fan of Rooster Teeth's productions (namely ''Machinima/RedVsBlue'') before beginning work at Creator/AchievementHunter. Now he's the Creative Director.

* [[IllGirl Ill Guy]]: It seems like Gavin has quite a few things wrong with his body - specifically, he's had at least two situations where he's been affected by what may well be [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transient_ischemic_attack transient ischemic attacks.]] Not to mention he can't wear tight pants (not that that seems to have stopped him) or it will damage his testicle (he nearly lost one due to testicular torsion). And he once went blind for a few days after a head injury. Notably, while the guys do laugh at the ''effects'' of these injuries, these conditions themselves are taken completely seriously, and whenever he mentions them they try to convince him to let a doctor check him over.
** Some more info, regarding the wet bread thing and such: Gavin has *very* visceral reactions to things said to him. He has trouble not picturing things that are said to him. In Podcast #207, Monty managed to make him almost vomit just by listing some of his stranger triggers. In the same podcast, he and Miles discuss their ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) which basically means that they can hear or see something they find soothing and get an inexplicable physical feedback from it. In short: Gavin's wired a bit oddly.
** Also, according to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2x3l5TKbLE Podcast #278]], he's had strokes in the past and now no longer has any feeling in a part of his right cheek (you can see the spot by looking for the bare patch in his beard; that's where he absentmindedly pulls hair out because he can't feel the pain). In the same podcast, immediately after, they also point out how he had a problem with his colon that was basically summed up as "diarrhea for five days straight" (in let's builds and other videos, they mentioned it as well; it was implied to have happened due to eating some bad food, but still).

** Taken UpToEleven in "Let's Play Crimson Map Pack Part 2". The game ends in a CurbStompBattle for not Ray, not Ryan, but Gavin, winning by 190 points and holding the lead for the entire game. The Mantis may have helped.

* KleptomaniacHero: In ''Skyrim'' he tends to steal things (on rare occasion by accident) and in ''Minecraft'' he certainly isn't averse to it either, as in episode 9 of ''Let's Play Minecraft'' he steals an entire suit of armour and a diamond from Geoff... [[UpToEleven while Geoff is standing right in front of him]].

* UpToEleven: The reason most of his {{Troll}}ing episodes occur in ''Minecraft''. It being free-roaming, Gavin has ''so many more'' opportunities and capabilities to troll than in most other games.

* AbsenteeActor: Started doing a lot of traveling in late 2015, resulting in running Achievement Hunter gags about him never being in the office. He also full admits to having a fully packed suitcase ready to go anytime he does have any last minute travel. On the RT Podcast, he declared that his 2019 New Year's Resolution was to lighten his traveling schedule so he could stay at home as much as possible.

*** YMMV on any of Gavin's inquiries being intelligent, since his reasons for asking generally betray that he hasn't thought about the question for more than half of a second. Alternatively, it's the Lets Play where Gavin's status as a ditz becomes more obvious. He frequently needs instructions repeated to him or the games instructions explained because he wasn't paying attention. In Worms he'll formulate a strategy to get near his opponents and drop an explosive, only to panic seconds later and jump to his death when he realizes he hadn't thought past the "dropping a live explosive" part.
