Emily Clara Rios (born April 27, 1989 in Los Angeles, California) is a Mexican-American actress. Raised as a Jehovah's Witness, Rios was discovered at a shopping mall and began acting at 16. After smaller roles she became known due to her ''Series/BreakingBad'' role as Andrea Cantillo. Since then she's also garnered acclaim for other roles on ''Series/TheBridgeUS'' and ''Series/{{Snowfall}}''. Rios came out as a lesbian in 2014. She is close friends with Creator/AlyssaDiaz (they played girlfriends on ''Series/TheBridgeUS'') having auditioned for many of the same roles. Rios is a lesbian who's said she's far more androgynous in her personal style when not acting, to the point of being [[LadyLooksLikeADude mistaken for male]] quite frequently.

* QueerCharacterQueerActor: She has played lesbian characters twice. Maria on ''Series/MenOfACertainAge'' was a recurring character. Later on ''Series/TheBridgeUS'' she portrayed Adriana Mendez, a reporter (and both are also Mexican-American). Regarding the latter she gushed about getting to play a woman like herself, even in a minor role, and the directors accepting her input that Adriana's sexuality be just incidental without being the focus of her entire character.
