In 2006, [=DreamCatcher=] was acquired by Austrian video game developer-publisher [=JoWooD=] Productions and served as their North American arm. [=JoWooD=] went bankrupt and shut down in 2011, taking [=DreamCatcher=] and The Adventure Company with it. All three companies' assets were subsequently acquired by Nordic Games (now Creator/THQNordic) later that year.

[=DreamCatcher=] Interactive (also known as [=DreamCatcher=] Games) was a Canadian video game publisher based in UsefulNotes/{{Toronto}}. It was founded in 1996. In 2002, [=DreamCatcher=] launched Creator/TheAdventureCompany, a specialty label for adventure games.
