He's perhaps best known for his seven years as a cast member and writer on ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'', where he created (and often starred in) the SNL Digital Short series of pre-taped sketches, opposed to filmed live on set. His celebrity impressions included Creator/NicolasCage (which had its recurring segment "Get In The Cage" in "Weekend Update"), Creator/MarkWahlberg, Creator/HughJackman, Creator/ChuckNorris, Creator/HowardStern, Creator/KeanuReeves, and Music/WeirdAlYankovic. During this era of his career, he also headlined the 2007 comedy ''Film/HotRod'' and co-starred in ''Film/ILoveYouMan'' opposite Creator/PaulRudd and Creator/JasonSegel.

Upon his departure from ''SNL'' in 2012, he appeared in the films ''Film/ThatsMyBoy'' opposite Creator/AdamSandler, and ''Film/CelesteAndJesseForever'' with Creator/RashidaJones, as well as the ''WesternAnimation/HotelTransylvania'' series. He also co-starred in the first season of Creator/TheBBC sitcom ''Series/{{Cuckoo}}''.
