Nathaniel DOES actually help Calvin when the time comes, and dies horribly for it.

* CultDefector: The Court of Owls has spent generations corrupting young boys into being their enforcers (known as Talons) while perpetrating their shadowy rule over Gotham City. Calvin Rose (fittingly enough, an escape artist) is the first one to ever break away from them and has been on the run ever since. Another Talon, Nathaniel O'Malley, provides him some covert support by not challenging him, but never actively turning on the Court.
