** In ''Marvel Zombies Return'', Octavius pauses to admire zombie Spider-Man's brutality in killing Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio. Out of the Sinister Six, Octavius gets the most gruesome death of all as Spider-Man tricks Electro into stunning him with electricity before eating Octavius alive. As Spider-Man is eating Octavius, the latter's head is on fire and when Octavius reanimates, it's revealed that he was torn in half as well.

Mysterio assumed that Spider-Man had gone insane and tried to hide among his illusions, Octavius was impressed by Spider-Man's brutality, Vulture was too distracted to fly away, and Electro tried to charge up his powers to kill Spider-Man before he kills the rest of them. Sandman couldn't comprehend what was happening and ran away after Electro was killed.

* ExtremelyShortTimespan: ''Ultimate Fantastic Four'', the first real arc, has Reed claim that "within twenty-four hours, we'd consumed the entire planet." This puts the entire events of both ''Dead Days'' and the ''Army of Darkness'' crossover within that period (ironic, given the title of the former), and leaves the whole thing with a rather squished time period. ''Dead Days'' doesn't use any obvious time indicators but certainly doesn't seem to have taken place over the course of a single day, and claims that the zombies simply ate their way through all of humanity feel... extreme, to say the least, especially when we rarely-if-ever see civilian zombies.

Between the two, the explanation is that Quicksilver spread the initial infection globally and then Beast and Mr. Fantastic used Cerebro to locate remaining humans.
