An twelve-issue comic series originally published from 2010-2011, Evil Empire tells the story of the evolution (devolution?) of American society after the murder of Courtney Laramy, wife of presidential candidate Senator Laramy. The senator reveals that he killed her while giving a press conference, and declares that society would be better if everyone just did whatever the fuck they wanted, whenever they wanted.
When he gets shot, things go from bad to worse and we see how an actual TheEmpire would and ''could'' came to be.

* BigBad: Senator Laramy shapes up to be the leader of the Evil Empire. [[spoiler: It turns out that he never intended for things to go this far. Duggins, the man that directed him on this path, however is another story]].
* BrotherSisterIncest: [[spoiler: between Sam and his sister]].
* ForTheEvulz: [[spoiler: Duggins]] entire motivation for turning America into a hellhole. Every things he does just serves to KickTheDog. He even makes a point that his meals must be made from endangered species.

* HowWeGotHere: The comic starts in a run-down future, where a pair of cops executes a man for the crime of helping an old man. After that, we go back to see how it all came to be, while regularly going back to the present.

* TheSchlubPubSeductionDeduction: [[ImpliedTrope Implied]]. In issue 5, when a SerialKiller named Ace Partner goes to a bar to search for a new victim, he is shocked to see a group of 5 woman with a men tied to a table. The woman are bragging that the man wishes that he was spending another night at that brothel instead of the bachelorette party, implying the women were having a bachelorette party and hired a male stripper they planned to murder.
