Canon Discontinuity is the actual term. Negative Continuity refers to a work where nothing remains consistent from entry to entry.

** A small one, but according to Butch Hartman, following the events of ''Phantom Planet'', Vlad Plasmius would end up getting imprisoned by aliens and wouldn't get away until ten years later. Based on the fact that he returns to Earth two years after the Disasteroid incident, this has officially become a NegativeContinuity.

* AlternateContinuity: Since Butch Hartman is not involved in this novel, it is likely that this story is not canon to the main timeline and has no connection to it because it was missing so many things that happened in the previous seasons and ignores other events too; especially ''WesternAnimation/ReignStorm'', ''[[Recap/DannyPhantomS2E17KindredSpirits Kindred Spirits]]'' and more. Even Vlad's survival makes no sense and his personality in this novel doesn't fit his evil character along with Dark Danny.
