* WaxOnWaxOff: Bogo uses this method to break in recruits, presumably as a general rule regardless of success at the academy. Parking duty is the method he uses with Judy Hopps at least. As the film progresses, we see Bogo also develop as a character and learn patience with Judy and he ultimately welcomes Judy as a standard officer in the roll call along with [[spoiler:Nick Wilde as Judy's partner]].

* NiceGuy: Seems amiable and friendly in general. Also, despite the fact that Nick has faced a lot of prejudice, he seems to legitimately like and not be wary of him. Additionally, in ''WesternAnimation/ZootopiaPlus'', he and Priscilla [[spoiler:offer to drive Sam to the Gazelle concert]].

* DemotedToExtra: After having [[AscendedExtra a bigger role in most of the Zootopia spin-off material he appeared in]], he was demoted back to extra status in ''WesternAnimation/ZootopiaPlus'', only appearing in one scene with Nick, where he didn't even get ''one line''.[[note]]Albeit Tiny Lister's death didn't help things there[[/note]]

* OutOfFocus: Despite being Nick's partner in crime, and despite the fact that he seemed legitimately concerned for Judy when she asked him where Nick is, we don't see what happens to him after Nick gives up their "business" for being a cop nor is he even ''mentioned''. He's also nowhere to be found at Gazelle's concert.

** PoliticallyIncorrectHero: There are implications he's not enthusiastic about having a small mammal like Judy on the force, and he is openly prejudiced against Nick when he first meets him, asking Judy if she really expects him to believe what a fox says

* ANaziByAnyOtherName: Her primary goal is to create a zootopia that is completely predator-free and make prey citizens as the dominate race, as she views predators as a savage violent minority that needs to be exterminated with by the means of terrorism, murder, brainwashing, and possibly a holocaust.

We don't see either of these guys' strength on display, changed to Authority Sounds Deep where fitting.

* BaritoneOfStrength: A huge, tough cape buffalo with the deep, gruff voice of Idris Elba. In the Japanese dub, Creator/KentaMiyake speaks with the same voice he used for Muhammad Avdol from ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventureStardustCrusaders''.

* BaritoneOfStrength: [[VocalDissonance Despite being a small, cute little animal]], he has the deep voice of Tom Lister, Jr. Almost makes him seem dangerous when he threatens to bite your face off...

* VocalDissonance: A tiny fennec fox with a big booming gangster voice. Presumably for this reason, he doesn't talk when pretending to be a kid as part of his and Nick's scam, as his voice would instantly give it away.

Not brought up as a taboo.

* WouldHitAGirl: He was perfectly willing to "ice" Judy alongside Nick, at least until Fru Fru walked in and recognized Judy as the one who saved her from being crushed by the giant donut the previous day.

* WouldHitAGirl: Neither of them had an issue with physically manhandling Judy on the same level as they did with Nick. One even picked her up by the back of the shirt when they were going to throw her and Nick into the ice water.

** Similarities: Judy inherited her fur and eye colors from Bonnie. They both hold prejudices towards foxes (and like Judy it's heavily implied that Bonnie's bias was also influenced by the [[WouldHitAGirl Gideon Grey incident]] during the AMinorKidroduction), but at the same time they both believed Stu's anti-fox stuff packed in the care package was overkill. Both Bonnie and Judy also learn to work past their prejudices and by the end of the film they have formed a trustworthy partnership with a fox in their respective jobs.

* SmallRoleBigImpact: He only appears twice in the film but [[WouldHitAGirl his actions during the prologue]] are the reason why Judy has subconsious prejudices against foxes, and as a much kinder adult in the third act, Gideon indirectly gives Judy an EurekaMoment about the Night Howlers snapping her out of her HeroicBSOD and leading her and Nick to end Bellwether's conspiracy. He also becomes a business partner with Bonnie and Stu [[CharacterDevelopment giving them the opportunity to grow beyond their prejudices]].

* WouldHitAGirl: As a child, he had no problem with clawing Judy in the face.

* WouldHitAGirl: {{Implied|Trope}}. He never landed a paw on Judy himself, but he laughed as Gideon beat her up, and high-fived him as they turn to leave.

* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Shortly after his rejection from the Junior Rangers, and possibly due to other traumatic events in his life (if his unclear family situation is a clue), he began cheating and scamming from the age of 12. During this time, he developed his popsicle hustle, which he continues to use to great effect as an adult.
