* SuperPowerLottery: Notwithstanding his ability to draw any card he wants, his Xyz monsters are very powerful (though still playing second fiddle to Don Thousand). The highlights are Rank 12 Mahes lets him summon all of the monsters used as Mahes' Xyz materials (which due to the way Mahes is summoned, is all of the preceding Xyz monsters Eliphas used.) and reattach them to Mahes at the end of the turn and Rank 13 Amun For starters it can't be destroyed by battle or card effects. Its base attack is 5000 (a distinction shared by only 5 other cards in the entire game) and gains 100 extra ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it. When it's summoned, it attaches a number of cards from the top of its opponent's deck as Xyz Materials, equal to the difference in Ranks between it and the opponent's Xyz Monster (Yuma's ace monster being Rank 4 Hope). Not only that, when an Xyz Monster is summoned by the opponent Amun steals even more cards, equal to the difference in ranks between Amun and that monster.

The Astral World is Astral's home world, under threat from the attacks of the Barians. In truth, the Astral World and the Barian World were once one realm, but its inhabitants separated the two in an attempt to remove chaos from their world so that they could achieve Rank-Up. However, removing chaos has only led the Astral World to stagnate and decay, with its citizens falling prey to diseases and despair.

!!Eliphas
http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eliphas_2_1484.png
-> My name is Eliphas. The one who seeks this world's dream.
->Voiced by: Kenji Hamada

The 'god' of the Astral World, Eliphas was created to protect the Astral World from chaos. By expelling any beings with chaos in themselves, Eliphas hoped to help the Astral World Rank-Up. He sent Astral to destroy the Barian World in order to erase chaos entirely, but he feels Astral has been corrupted and seeks to have him purified of the chaos Yuma has infected him with. Eliphas uses a New Order deck focused around the titular New Order monsters and Double Rank-Ups to summon stronger versions of his Xyz monsters.

!!!Tropes:

* KnightTemplar: In the aim of saving Astral World he was willing to allow the Human World to be destroyed, and would have Mind Raped Astral in further service of that goal if Yuma hadn't kicked his butt.
