Commonwealth cruisers are generally comparable to their counterparts on the British tech tree, though there are a few differences. Most notably, the light cruisers of the line have access to HE shells, giving them the firestarting capability that the British light cruisers lack. They also have access to the Submarine Surveillance and Crawling Smoke Generator consumables, making them better at sub-hunting and evasion.

A Danae-class light cruiser, Dunedin was laid down in 1917 and commissioned in 1919. She spent the interwar period on overseas stations, defending British interests and providing disaster relief. When WWII broke out, she participated in the hunt for Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, then was transferred to the Caribbean to interdict German and Vichy merchant shipping in the region. She captured five ships and scored a coup by seizing the Enigma machines from the tanker Lothringen. She was sunk on 24 November 1941 by U-124, with the loss of most of her crew.

A Leander-class cruiser originally laid down in 1931 as HMS Achilles. She was commissioned in 1933, then transferred to the Royal Navy's New Zealand Division in 1936 and officially recommissioned as HMNZS Achilles with the reformation of the NZD into the Royal New Zealand Navy in 1941. She was sent to patrol the coast of South America, and there was one of the three ships that battled the German pocket battleship Graf Spee and successfully bottled her up in Montevideo. After Graf Spee was scuttled, Achilles returned to New Zealand and escorted convoys in the Pacific. She was damaged during the Solomons campaign when a Japanese bomb tore off the roof of one of her turrets. After undergoing repairs and modernization in England, she rejoined the New Zealand fleet. Postwar, she was sold to India, becoming INS Delhi. She spent most of her career showing the flag in foreign ports, though she briefly participated in the Portuguese-Indian War of 1961. She was decommissioned and sold for scrap in 1978.

A Fiji-class light cruiser laid down in 1939 and commissioned in 1943. After shakedown, she escorted convoys and provided fire support in the Atlantic and Mediterranean, including escorting Winston Churchill to a conference in the US and bombarding targets in Sicily and Italy. She was hit by a 1.4 tonne Fritz X glide bomb off Salerno that punched clean through her entire hull and detonated beneath her keel. She survived, but was was damaged so severely that she had to be taken to America for repairs. While being repaired, she was transferred to Canadian control and recommissioned as HMCS Uganda. She was sent to the Pacific as flagship of the RCN and provided antiaircraft and shore bombardment support for the British fleet there. In April 1945, she was the subject of an embarrassing incident when two-thirds of her crew refused to volunteer for continued service in the theater. The Canadian government had decided to ask all sailors and soldiers going to the Pacific to re-volunteer for service; anyone who re-upped would be granted a month's leave before going. The policy was applied to Ugandas crew as well, and they voted no due to discontentment with poor living conditions on the cruiser and a feeling that they had volunteered to fight Germany, not Japan.. Due to delays in finding a replacement ship, she wasn't sent home until late July and arrived in port on the day that the Japanese announced their surrender. She was paid off in 1947, then recommissioned as HMCS Quebec on 1952 upon Canada's entry into the Korean War. She saw no combat during the war and was paid off again in 1956, then sold for scrap in 1960.

! Sutlej
Commonwealth (Indian) Tier I Cruiser

A Black Swan-class sloop built for the Royal Indian Navy. She was laid down in 1939 and commissioned in 1941. Sutlej saw extensive service as a convoy escort and assault ship in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Indian Oceans during WWII. When India gained independence in 1947, she became INS Sutlej and served until 1978, when she was decommissioned and sold for scrap.

! Caradoc
Commonwealth Tier III Cruiser
A C-class cruiser of the Caledon subclass. Caradoc was laid down in 1916 and commissioned the following year. She fought in the Second Battle of Heligoland Bight and escorted the High Seas Fleet to Scapa Flow after the German surrender. She spent the next two years supporting anti-Bolshevik/Soviet forces in the Baltic and Crimea before transferring to the Mediterranean. She served in the Caribbean and China stations before being placed in reserve in 1934. Upon the outbreak of WWII, she was reactivated and used to transport gold bullion and hunt down German blockade runners. Now old and superannuated, she was converted to a gunnery training ship in 1944 and sent to Ceylon. She was placed in reserve after the end of the war and broken up in 1946.

! Hobart
Commonwealth (Australian) Tier VI Cruiser
Hobart was one of three improved Leander-class cruisers ordered by the Royal Navy in the 1930s.The original Leanders had all their boilers in a single compartment, which made them more vulnerable to being knocked out by a single hit amidships. The improved ships dispersed the machinery into multiple compartments for greater survivability. She was laid down in 1933 and commissioned as HMS Apollo in 1936. She and her two sisters were sold to Australia in 1938, and she was recommissioned as HMAS Hobart. Upon the outbreak of war, she was sent to the Indian Ocean, where she saw action in the Red Sea and oversaw the evacuation of British Somaliland. After a stint in the Mediterranean, she returned to the Pacific and served as a convoy escort, then screened Port Moresby during the Battle of the Coral Sea and provided fire support for the invasion of Guadalcanal. She was badly damaged by a torpedo from the submarine I-11 on 20 July 1943 and limped to Sydney for repairs, which kept her out of the fight until April 1945. She participated in the invasion of Borneo and was present for the Japanese surrender. She was decommissioned in 1947 and sent to the reserves. Several attempts were made to modernize her, but were all deemed cost-ineffective, and she was ultimately sold for scrap in 1962.

The eleventh faction to be introduced, with their first ship being the Neueve De Julio. Essentially everything in North and South America that isn't the US or Canada but with an emphasis more on South America than the rest. South American nations were involved in quite the naval arms race among each other from the late 19th and most of the 20th century. While most of these ships were bought from other nations second hand a lot where also contracted out native designs. Its a safe bet this nation will eventually include full destroyer and cruiser tech trees with even the possibility of a battleship tech tree.

!Nueve de Julio
Formerly USN Brooklyn-class light cruiser USS Boise, she was transferred to the Argentine Navy in 1951, before being sold back to the US in 1981, whereupon the US sent her to Japan to be scrapped. She was used as a clandestine detention center (read: gulag) at one point in Argentine service.
* HealThyself: Comes with a "super heal" at a tier where most cruisers do not have any ability to heal whatsoever.
* PaletteSwap: She is identical to USS Boise (which is literally the same ship) with the exception of the navy they serve and minor cosmetic differences.

These destroyers lack smoke, but make up for it with better guns, a repair party consumable, and adequate AA. Their torpedoes have long range and high speed, but low alpha damage, and good luck causing flooding with them.

In General:
Low speed ships with good concealment and excellent torpedo speeds. However, they have fewer tubes per vessel than other nations, and the torpedoes do notably less damage. Their guns feature good rates of fire, but are low caliber making it harder to damage tougher targets. They trade out smoke screens for repair party, starting at tier 5.

Pan-Asia Destroyers are characterized mostly by being ships purchased from other navies. With the sole exception of Japan, Asian nations weren't known for strong naval forces during the twentieth century. They largely preferred second hand destroyers and other small boats for their versatility and economical nature.
!Pan-Asian Destroyers As A Whole
* CripplingOverspecialization: Their torpedoes run too deeply in the water to hit other destroyers. However, this improves their stealth rating significantly, making them harder to spot without active sonar, and can be useful for hitting the more valuable cruiser or battleship that is behind the targeted destroyer. They also allow you to shoot torpedoes through a blocking allied destroyer without fearing team damage.
* AndNowForSomethingCompletelyDifferent: An entire line of ships operated by different navies purchased second hand from wildly different navies. Moving from one tier to next can be a little jarring.

Tier 3 Pan-Asia Destroyer

Formerly HMS Radiant, a Thornycroft R-class destroyer which fought in the First World War as part of the Royal Navy. She was later sold back to Thornycroft on 21 June 1920, who then sold her on to the Royal Thai Navy in September 1920 where she was renamed Phra Ruang. Because of her continued service in the Thai Navy, the destroyer was the last of the R class destroyers to survive, being stricken from the Thai Navy list in 1957. It is reported that she remained in use as a training hulk and as of 2000 was still afloat, but has since been moved ashore and encased in concrete at a shrine to Admiral Prince Abhakara Kiartivongse.

* GlassCannon: Phra Ruang is a sneaky little bugger with low detect-ability range, good torpedo reload time and best speed out of all Tier 3 destroyers... at the expense of non-existent armor, low cannon shell velocity and painfully slow torpedo speed.

!Italy
The Regia Marina was introduced as the tenth faction in April 2017 with the Tier VI premium cruiser Duca d'Aosta and the Tier VIII premium battleship Roma appearing in January 2018. The Cruiser Tech Tree line was released in Fall 2019.

With the exception of several Premium Cruisers, the Regia Marina's Cruisers from Tier 2 and onward introduce a new ammunition type to the game, Semi-Armor Piercing Shells or SAP, which replace standard HE shells. Similar in someways to the British Cruisers AP, SAP shells can never over-penetrate a target and have a much higher than average auto-ricochet angle. SAP also has higher Alpha Damage than Italian AP shells, and great for dealing with largely any ship that is not a cruiser sitting broadside on to them. The Italian Cruisers also feature Exhaust Smoke-Screen which provides a very short duration, but instantaneous, smoke screen that does not require the ship to slow down, allowing for very quick disengagements.

This all comes at several costs however. While SAP has higher Alpha damage than AP, it uses similar damage mechanics to HE shells. They have reduced penetration value compared to AP shells and the less vital or more heavily armored a location is the less damage it deals. Also Italian Cruisers can not start any fires with their main battery gun. While the ships possess good long range ballistics, the ships themselves have notably little armor and long reload times for their guns, making them ill-suited for short range engagement. The ships also do not bring team utility consumables such as Radar or Hydro-Acoustics. Overall this makes the Italian ships built more as dedicated long-range fire support, capable of relatively hard hitting shots regardless of the target ship's facing.
!Duca d'Aosta
Italian Tier 6 premium cruiser.
* DeathOfAThousandCuts: Duca d'Aosta has relatively few guns, and her shells do not bite particularly hard. But her shells' flight characteristics and accuracy are second to none. This allows the Aosta to just keep harassing its targets from afar until they die.
* LightningBruiser: Relatively speaking. She mounts a pretty solid armor scheme for a light cruiser combined with excellent maneuverability and what was once the fastest speed among cruisers. The reason she's such a pain to kill is that ships with enough penetration have trouble hitting her before she dodges while everything will simply struggle to do damage.
!Duca degli Abruzzi
Italian Tier 7 premium cruiser.

* GlassCannon: despite having strong armor for a light cruiser and boasting a Repair Party, she is rather vulnerable to citadel penetrations simply due how far said citadel sticks above the water.
* HealThyself: Is fitted with a damage repair party.
* MasterOfNone: While perhaps not the worst tier VII cruiser, she's generally considered the tier VII that is least worthy of purchase (being a premium). She has a small number of guns for a light cruiser of her tier and poor firing angles combined with a high citadel, making her an already questionable choice when first released. However after the Boise/Nueve De Julio was released (with their RN-esque super-heal and a significantly less vulnerable citadel) she's now no longer the best VII premium in any category.

!Gorizia
Italian Tier 7 Premium, unveiled as part of the 2019 Christmas, 2020 New year Event. A ship of the Zara-Class Heavy Cruisers.

* CripplingOverspecialization: Gorizia sacrifices reload speed and torpedoes for a Hydroacoustic Search consumable equal to German Cruisers. While the combination of SAP and consumable should in theory make Gorizia a great "Destroyer Hunter", being up close to the enemy fleet is exactly the last place Gorizia and Italian Cruisers want to be, and SAP shells relies on being able to repeatedly shoot at an enemy for damage, weakening Gorizia's ability to deal with Battleships. Ultimately, this makes Gorizia less of a "Destroyer hunter" and more of a back line ship that can punish overconfident destroyer captains trying to flank an allied fleet.

!Roma
Italian Tier 8 premium battleship.

The most famous ship of the Vittorio-Veneto class of battleships, and has the dubious honor of being the first major warship lost to guided munitions attack.
* LightningBruiser: Mounts good high penetration guns coupled with strong armor and 30 knots of speed.
* LittleUselessGun: Not her main battery (obviously) but her 90mm secondaries are some of the smallest guns in the game and can only pen the superstructures on destroyers. They also aren't the best fire starters either and their firing range is pretty short.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: Roma had the misfortune of debuting one day after the incredibly powerful IJN Musashi on the North American server. A lot of the normal premium buying crowd just didn't see the point of Roma compared to the down-tiered Yamato-class battleship.
** Guilio Cesares previous introduction also didn't do her a lot of favors; Roma lacks the accuracy of the Guilio Cesare which disappoints those that expected Roma to share said trait.
* PointDefenseless: Her AA and secondaries are rather lackluster.
* PowerfulButInaccurate : Her 381mm guns are one of the straightest examples in the game. They penetrate very well, but her dodgy dispersion often causes her to miss or flunk.
* StealthExpert: she boasts a minimum detectablity range lower than some cruisers at her tier. Much of the appeal of Roma is from the fact that she can sneak up on unaware ships.
!Guilio Cesare:
Italian Tier 5 premium battleship.

Representative of the Conte di Cavour-class of battleships, she appears in the game in her reconstructed form (i.e no middle turret). Most notably engaged HMS Warspite during World War II, and was ceded as war reparations to the Soviets, who renamed her Novorossiysk and refitted her with Soviet-standard AA. She was intended to be refitted further with Soviet-made 305mm guns, but before that could happen, she was lost due to an accident where she disturbed a German World War II leftover limpet mine while in Sevastopol Harbor, causing it to explode and tear a hole in the hull, the ship capsizing and taking down 608 men with her. She was later scrapped.

* BoringButPractical: She does not have any unique consumables (instead only having the standard damage control and repair consumables) or any sort of unique characteristics to make her stand out. But she doesn't need to: Thanks to her speed, acceptable durability, excellent gun handling, and unprecedented accuracy; Gulio Ceasare is generally considered to not only be the best BB of her tier, but also a decent performer even when facing tier 7 opponents.
* LightningBruiser: She boasts competitive durability (and would be excellent if not for a small HP pool) and can book it at a whopping 27.5 knots. The only tier 5 battleship that can go faster is the much less stealthy Kongo.
* NamedAfterSomeoneFamous: Emperor of Rome, Julius Caesar.

After the captain skill rework relased in update 0.10.0, with Torpedo Tubes Mod 1 and the Swift Fish skill, she can get her 12 KM torpedoes to travel at 84 Knots. This equal to roughly 94 MPH or 155 KPH! Needless to say its difficult to dodge these fish, and the later destroyers in the line retain this trait.

After the release of the Pan-European branch, they were folded into that "Nation".
* Acrobatic: Zigzagged. She is a very large destroyer, with a very high top speed. However, she suffers from a longer rudder shift time, and her overall agility is poor.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Being from a different "Nation" and being introduced before other Pan European ships, she plays quite differently from them. She gets decent base speed, and the engine boost gets her to very high speeds in a straight line. She gets a smoke screen unlike most of her stablemates, but no heal. She also suffers from very slow torpedoes.
* MoreDakka: She has 7 guns in 4 turrets, a high amount for destroyers only surpassed by the IJN gunboat line and tied by the Russian destroyer Okhotsk. They however are only 120 mm, leading in difficulties in damaging higher tier targets.

Added DiffLines:

* AntiAir: All EU DD from this point onward come with Defensive fire in a separate consumable slot. Even without investing in Anti Aircraft skills or equipment, they are EXTREMELYlethal to aviation. It is not uncommon for inexperienced carrier players to lose all of their planes trying to hunt down these floating flak batteries. Unlike the majority of destroyers in the game, these ships are NOT prey for carrier aircraft.

* SmokeOut: Unlike most other Pan European DD's, she gets a smoke screen.

Guilio Cesare is a Conte di Cavour-class battleship. These ships were built as dreadnought battleships in the 1910s, with 13 305 guns arranged in three-triple and two-twin turrets in an A-B-Q-X-Y layout For context, that is the turret layout seen in the König, Iron Duke, New York, Texas, and Bretagne, only with the foremost, rearmost and middle turrets carrying an extra gun . Guilio Cesare was reconstructed in the 1930s to become a fast battleship by removing the middle turret and adding a modern engine as well as a hydrodynamic bow. Like most of the Italian battleship fleet, Guilio Cesare didn't do a whole lot during the war (though she did engage HMS Warspite as a notable accomplishment during the time she did see action during the war) and was ceded to the Soviet Union as a war prize in 1949. Guilio Cesare was her reconstructed in the 1930s to become a fast battleship by removing the form (i.e no middle turret and adding a modern engine as well as a hydrodynamic bow. Like most of the Italian battleship fleet, Guilio Cesare didn't do a whole lot turret). Most notably engaged HMS Warspite during the war (though she did engage HMS Warspite as a notable accomplishment during the time she did see action during the war) World War II, and was ceded as war reparations to the Soviet Union as a war prize in 1949. While in harbor Guilio Cesare, now Soviets, who renamed Novorossiysk, her Novorossiysk and refitted her with Soviet-standard AA. She was intended to be refitted further with Soviet-made 305mm guns, but before that could happen, she was lost due to an accident where she disturbed a German World War II leftover limpet mine left over from while in Sevastopol Harbor, causing it to explode and tear a hole in the war hull, the ship capsizing and exploded when the mine went off taking down 608 men with a great loss of life. Her wreck her. She was later raised and scrapped.

scrapped.

*BoringButPractical:
She does not have any unique consumables (instead only having the standard damage control and repair consumables) or any sort of unique characteristics to make her stand out. But she doesn't need to: Thanks to her speed, acceptable durability, excellent gun handling, and unprecedented accuracy; Gulio Ceasare is generally considered to not only be the best BB of her tier, but also a decent performer even when facing tier 7 opponents.

Former Soviet Gnevny-class destroyer Rekordny, and the first destroyer to serve in the PLAN. Currently preserved as a museum ship in Qingdao.

* EnemyDetectingRadar: She was the first destroyer introduced into the game that can mount the Hydroacoustic Search consumable, and remains the only non-German and non-British destroyer (These two nations received destroyer tech trees years after Lo Yang was added) to has it. Unlike the German destroyers, however, the stats for Lo Yang's hydro match the superior stats for the same consumable on the Admiral Hipper and Prinz Eugen. Only the Tier 10 German destroyer Z-52 has better hydro range than Lo Yang.

!Neueve De Julio
Neueve De Julio began life as the Brooklyne class cruiser USS Boise before being transfered to the Argentine Navy in 1951. Under Argentine service, she participated in shellings during the 1955 revolution against Peron loyalist. By the 1970s she was too worn for further service and decommissioned. She notably served as a Clandestine Detention Center (read: gulag) during this time. She was sold in 1981 with the intention of turning her into a museum ship in Texas but poor condition of the vessel made this uneconomical and was ultimately scrapped.
* HealThyself: Comes with a royal navy "super heal" at a tier where most cruisers do not have any ability to heal
* PaletteSwap: She is identical to USS Boise (which is literally the same ship) with the exception of which navy they serve and minor cosmetic differences.

The Marynarka Wojenna (Polish Navy) is the sixth faction to be included, with their first ship being the Grom-class destroyer BÅ‚yskawicapronounced "Bwiskavitza" ("Lightning"), featured as a premium Tier-7 destroyer. Given the small size of the Marynarka Wojenna (the only ships larger than destroyers they've ever had were a pair of British light cruisers loaned to them during [=WW2=]) it's a safe bet all Polish ships will be premiums.
