''However'', there was no reason possible for him to think that they would [[spoiler: send two secret messages to each other that ''neither'' wanted to show to anyone in the first place, and not the murderous internet ghost that was presently haunting them. Let alone ''print them out for everyone on the Skype call to see'' instead of just messaging each other online like he and Blaire were doing earlier. He should have been able to tell that something bad would happen considering they were both obviously terrified by what they saw on the papers.]]

* AssholeVictim: Blaire took part in the cyberbullying that drove Laura to suicide and [[spoiler:filmed the video that started it all.]]

Near the end, even after reading that the only way to survive is to confess her sins, and after all of her friends and her boyfriend die, Blaire still adamantly refuses to acknowledge her involvement as the cameraperson until Laura posts the unedited video on her Facebook, revealing it to the world and marking the end of Blaire's last chance for redemption. Death follows immediately after.]]

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Aside from the brutal murders, the psychological torture she brings upon the group would be considered to be cruel by anyone else. Said torture however based on the fact that they each have backstabbed each other and kept it under wraps. And considering what they did to Laura specifically it’s hard to say that they didn’t bring it upon themselves.

* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler: Once he and Blaire are the only ones' left, Mitch is noticeably less verbal and speaks with a quiet, tired tone of voice.]]

* EyeScream: How he dies as [[spoiler: Blaire sells him out to Laura in the final game, forced to headbutt himself into a knife.]]

A high school student who had committed suicide after a humiliating video of her degrading party incident ends up viral online. A year later, she presumably returns to enact vengeance on those directly responsible for her death.

* InformedAttribute: According to Ken, Laura was a bully herself, but the only evidence we see of that is a brief clip of her picking a fight with [[{{Jerkass}} Val]] at the party (which she tried to apologize for). In fact, [[FreezeFrameBonus the news article about her suicide]] quotes her as saying she was sick of ''being'' bullied years earlier for an eating disorder, which led to a suicide attempt. [[spoiler:Ken doesn't have the moral high ground either, since he and his friends viciously cyberbullied her in return]].

* AmbiguousDisorder: The news article about Laura mentions that she was a special education student, suggesting that she may have been handicapped in some way. It's also possible that the bullying had gotten so vicious that it wasn't considered safe to keep her in a normal classroom.

* ImStandingRightHere: He talked smack about Laura even in light of her committing suicide, stating that she deserved to be cyber-bullied. Of course, he was unaware that Laura became a murderous ghost with a chip in her shoulder and had been watching them all since the beginning of the movie. Suddenly it makes sense that [[spoiler: his death was one of the most painful and gruesome.]]

* {{Irony}}: She’s the only one of her friends who actually says “[[TheUnapologetic I’m sorry]]” for her own misdeeds. [[spoiler: Noticeably, ''after'' Laura ousts her misdeeds out to them. More so, Blaire stubbornly refuses to admit what she did to Laura even after everyone is dead until when Laura outright shows her face on the video.]]

* RewardedAsATraitorDeserves: [[spoiler: Laura offered to spare him, Mitch, and Blaire in exchange for only killing Jess. She lied, ousts him out for it to sow more distrust in the group and killed him before everyone else.]]
