The main protagonist of the ''Umineko'' visual novel series, he fights to prove that the Rokkenjima murders of October 1986 were committed by human means rather than magic against his opponent, the Golden Witch Beatrice. Depending on who he's teaming up with, his role changes from helping Beatrice reclaim her Golden Witch title, finally putting an end to Beatrice's game or [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers amassing his personal harem as the Game Master]]. His signature ability is ''Resurrection'', which gradually restores the player's health for a while.

The titular Golden Witch, she was the one who started the game involving the Rokkenjima massacres and clashes with Battler to prove that magic and witches exist and that the massacres were done via magic. Her ability, ''Infinite SP'', allows her to use a single SP bar for free, albeit only once.

* BoobsOfSteel: She is well endowed, and has the highest health out of all the female characters and the second highest overall. Only Ronove, another defensive character but more close-range and counterattack oriented, edges her out.

* GagBoobs: While she was already well-endowed in the original visual novel (which [[ChivalrousPervert Battler]] lampshades), her breasts are definitely treated this way in the anime and manga. In this game, she's the only character with an animated Meta-Declaration, for obvious reasons.

* KnightOfCerebus: While the other characters get some humourous moments in their stories and endings, this guy... doesn't. The fact that he only has one story [[spoiler:(with Shannon, where he [[KillEmAll kills off the other characters]])]] speaks volumes about this dude.

* KillEmAll: [[spoiler:In one of her endings, she ends up butchering the whole cast.]]

* GagBoobs: While she was already well-endowed in the original visual novel (which [[ChivalrousPervert Battler]] lampshades), her breasts are definitely treated this way in the anime and manga. In this game, she's the only character with an animated Meta-Declaration, for [[{{Gainaxing}} obvious reasons]].
* {{Gainaxing}}: Her breasts jiggle ''every time'' she performs a special attack.

* SinisterScythe: Her WeaponOfChoice.

* FullContactMagic: She uses surprisingly little magic compared to the other Beatrices, most of her attacks involving [[SimpleStaff clubbing]] and [[KickChick kicking]] the enemy to death. This is most likely because Eva, her human counterpart, is a martial artist.

* KamehameHadoken: His SP version of ''Blue Truth'' has him fire a small laser at the opponent. His Meta-Super takes this trope UpToEleven, firing a massive beam at the enemy.

* FlungClothing: Taken UpToEleven. She somehow wears her standard costume beneath her sleeveless, legless, skintight swimsuit.

* {{Meganekko}}: Some of her character sprites occasionally have her wearing glasses.

* SpotOfTea: Stops to have a quick cup as she pummels her opponent with enchanted furniture in her SP2 attack.

* DangerouslyShortSkirt: Wears one. She remains well covered at all times, even with the considerable amount of high kicks and jumping she does.

* BigSisterInstinct: Although in the main series she had no scruples and regrets in killing and torturing Rosa together with her daughter Maria because she did not want her human self Eva to give to their sister her legitimate share of the gold, in this game not only does she show no problem (well at least after being defeated) in giving Rosa the share of which she needs to pay off all the debts (in the storymode of Rosa and Beatrice) but she is even sincerely willing to assist her in her enterprise in being able to transform herself into a witch/magical girl (in their storymode).

* ActionMom: She is Maria's mother, and a very strong fighter who can hold her own against other powerful adversaries with a set of improvised weapons, being the [[SawedOffShotgun sawed-off rifle]] her main one.

* GreenEyedMonster: The main reason why she is so determined to want to become a witch or a magical girl is because she can't bear that her magically rejuvenated older sister can easily use magic and wearing a beautiful outfits while Rosa cannot despite both having solved the epigraph in her route with EVA-Beatrice.

** The scenario with Battler is an even more obscure rapresentation of Episode 2 in which Rosa ultimately turns out to be one of the culprits, firing and killing Battler in an appallingly similar manner to Eva doing the same in Episode 3.

* FightingClown: Half this and half BarrierWarrior, with her basic attacks involving attacking with cleaning implements, or doing things like [[CuteClumsyGirl dropping a tea-set on the enemy after tripping]], and girly slaps and pushes, going so far as to even call [[TheBeastmaster seagulls]] to help her in combat. She's still as effective as any other character, and doesn't have any problem in going against [[WitchSpecies the witches]] or their [[{{Familiar}} familiars]].

* HyperspaceArsenal: She can pull out carpet-beaters, pulling carts, mats, serving trays, [[TheBeastmaster seagull feed]], [[ParasolOfPain umbrellas]] and endless supplies of [[CuteClumsyGirl tea sets to drop]] out of nowhere, unlike [[WitchSpecies Virgilia]], who clearly uses magic to make her weapons appear.

* WitchSpecies: [[PlayingWith Played with]]. Since in the original visual novel (and in both the manga and anime adaptations) there has always been this doubt about the fact that Rosa, just like her daughter Maria, her sister Eva and Sayo, was able to develop her own witch-form in the fantasy sequences, known only under the title of "Black Witch" and to which the responsibility for the deaths of Chiester 556 and Sakutaro is to be attributed. In this game, depending on the characters with which she is paired and with whom she clashes (and depending on some dialogue interactions), Rosa is considered in all respects a witch.

* SanitySlippage: Not even in the mother series Rosa was the most mentally stable individual on the island but at least we had to acknowledge the fact that she never evolved in a total AxCrazy as did the other half of the human cast of the series. Here, in regards to her story mode with Battler, Rosa shoots and kills her own nephew smiling without mercy and then, when she realizes too late that Beatrice has betrayed her and blows up all of Rokkenjima with both her and Maria, [[LikeFatherLikeDaughter she becomes a shameless female copy of Kinzo, laughing hysterically and screaming out the witch's name like her old man.]]

* IKissYourFoot: In his story mode with Ronove, he forces Lucifer and perhaps Shannon to do this in order to prove that he is a very attractive and cruel man.
