[[spoiler: his ultimate form without Neo is a bold, shiny version of himself, his ultimate form after eating Neo is a HumanoidAbomination with animalistic features which look less human but not as nasty the lumpy misshapen things that he was before eating GOD. After eating the Eight Kings, Neo starts to overcome Acacia, mutating him into a creature even more grotesque than his initial form.]]
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Highly regarded as the legendary Gourmet Hunter who saved the world. Was beloved as a father figure by his three disciples. [[spoiler:Turns out to be a hateful man who cares for nothing but sating his own appetite who pretended to be a loving mentor and father to his disciples so he could manipulate them and shed fake tears over his combo partner's grave. While NEO seemed to be TheManBehindTheMan, ultimately he is just a mindless appetite with a taste for fear, the plan that tear the planet apart was his and his alone. ]][[spoiler: It was all an act to enrage his opponents so that they may create a flavor that is harmful to NEO namely pure Rage.]]

* MookMaker: [[spoiler:How NEO, his appetite demon splits up to retrieve the remaining main course. Although mooks isn't a very fitting word, since at this point his pieces are powerful enough to be a threat to main character.]]

* PhysicalGod: He is after all called the Gourmet God for a reason, Acacia has an Appetite Demon so powerful he even eat the entire world. And upon eating GOD and Center, he had a capture level even higher than the Eight Kings and even ate his own Appetite Demon Neo to become even more powerful, it basically cements his status as this.

* ReadingsAreOffTheScale: [[spoiler: Upon eating God and Center, his Capture was AT LEAST 8000, greater then any individual Eight King. Upon eating his own appetite, NEO, who's own capture level increased to 22,000 upon eating God, their combined capture level increased to at least 30,000, the highest recorded capture level in the series, 3 times that of GOD.]]

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Setsuno is a TechnicalPacifist who avoids violence when she can, even against monsters, and overall is a very kind and helpful person. But if you manage to make her truly mad... well, Toriko's world is not a gentle world and she is considered a national resource for a reason.

* PersonOfMassDestruction: Destroying entire islands would be a mere nuisance for his abilities. This is because capturing it and turning it into an ingredient is incredibly hard: you need to chase it until it's exhausted (which is pretty hard, thanks to its SuperSpeed and near-limitless stamina), and then prepare its flesh - [[spoiler:which requires '''almost 600.000 years''']].

* MacGuffinGuardian: Each of them guards one of Acacia's Full Course respectively.

* PhysicalGod: The Eight Kings have this status, since they are at the top of the Gourmet World food chain and they have so much hax abilities. They are even the strongest animals in the Gourmet World being able to {{Curb stomp}} anyone in battle and can blast apart the earth just by breathing.

* SpeedBlitz: This happens to anyone unworthy enough to fight them. The battle ends quickly before they can even blink.
* StoryBreakerPower: They wouldn't be at the top of the food chain in the Gourmet World if they didn't have such hax abilities.

* AmbiguousGender: While Heracles is pregnant with a foal, it's also classified as a "Phantom Beast" rather than a mammal and, as shown by Elg, Herac's regeneration is so strong it can make wholee thinking clones. As such, it's hard to say if Heracles had his foal normally and is a female Herac or it's a case of MrSeahorse and his unique biology allows him to generate a foal unaided.

* ReadingsAreOffTheScale: It's capture level is revealed to be 6200 in the manga volumes.
* {{Tsundere}}: Type A. After helping him give birth, he blows away the Steel Clouds, making a rainbow bridge allowing the Four Kings to pass through safely. When Toriko said thank you, he turned her head as if to say "Hmmph. Keep your thanks."

** Considering it dwarfs Heracles, who has a capture level revealed to be 6200, it pretty much means that it's true form is indeed higher.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler: Although Sky Deer was cautious enough to [[MakeSureHesDead make sure Acacia is dead]], only for him evolve to adapt to it's time accelerating back channel. As Acacia cut Toriko's neck after he escaped, and ate GOD then let NEO　kill the Eight Kings]]

** Coco's applies it's "Devil Poison" by drooling it into it's victims mouth.

* EnergyBeing: In a sense. They're bodies are composed of Appetite Energy when they manifest outside the host's body.

* MonstrousHumanoid[=/=]HumanoidAbomination: They're appearences vary (usually that of a monster from Japanese folklore), but they're all humanoid in shape. Toriko's resembles a red oni [[spoiler:his other resembles a blue oni]]. Zebra's is a veiny bat-like being he compares to the GrimReaper. Coco's resembles an "[[StringyHairedGhostGirl onryo]]" (albeit not female), Mansam's resembles an Asura, complete with [[MultiArmedAndDangerous six arms]] and three faces, Starjun's is a {{cyclops}}.

* BullyingADragon: When [[spoiler: White]] first manifests himself, Red tells him to stay in the line, even if the latter is way beyond his power level.
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: In his first appearence he was wilder-looking, with long hair and a more grotesque visage. He gains less trollish facial traits and in his latest appearence he has different-looking hair, jutting fangs and spikes over his arms and shoulders.

* CompleteImmortality: Neo is pretty much this as it only be sealed away and will exist for all eternity. [[spoiler:Even after it's defeat and being reduced to it's original form it will continue to existing for eternity]].

* ExtremeOmnivore: Bugs, dinosaurs, dogs, people, Nitro...if it's afraid, Neo will enjoy eating it. In chapter 364 it eats a ''supernova''. Like Midora, it weaponizes this by literally eating the energy of attacks directed at it.

* GreaterScopeVillain: It's indirectly responsible for everything bad thing that's happened in the series [[spoiler:and Acacia, despite being the BigBad of the series and it's host, has been trying to stop it his entire life]].
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: Yes, surpsingly enough. Once he's defeated and Acacia passes on, he reverts back to his original state. However, Toriko shares some of his food with him, causing him turn over a new leaf thanks to this act of kindness. The next time we see him, he's among Toriko's guests at his and Rin's wedding reception.]]

* TheDreaded: So much that his mere, brief appearence is enough to cause ''Acacia'' to scream in terror and punch him away from him.

* ArcherArchetype: He's pretty good with a bow and arrow, turning [[spoiler: Jerryboy]] into a pincushion in seemingly one volley.

* GagBoobs: Is one more well-endowed characters in the series, in spite of her being a petite old granny.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: They are the 8 strongest animals that rule each continent individually and can utterly destroy creatures that can survive nuclear bombs in an instant.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Comes with being one of the Eight Kings. Bambina also set up a system based on this to control predation on the continent. Unfortunately, Bambina isn't all that interested in managing it. As a result, the four Enbu masters under Bambina have become food-hoarding tyrants, leaving the other monkeys to starve.
