She is one of two {{Senpai|Kohai}} characters of the game (the other is Aki), and therefore one year older than the Protagonist. As with all outgoing seniors, Yuu wears the iconic classical Kirameki SailorFuku that is being phased out in favor of a new blazer design the Protagonist and his class don.

A [[SenpaiKohai kohai]] junior to the Protagonist by one year, she is a part-time student at Kirameki. Very shy, she always carries a diary to write her feelings: one she inadvertently drops. Should the Protagonist find this diary, they'll start a relationship through it. She works at a candy shop and hopes to become a confectioner. Haruna is friends with Aki, and it's through her that the unlock event is available.

* TohokuRegionalAccent: She speaks in this dialect constantly, in sharp contrast to Patricia [=McGrath=] who spoke in KansaiRegionalAccent only when [[UnstoppableRage she was in a bout of fury]].

* ObliviousToLove: Isn't it sad Miyako?

* ThePromise: [[spoiler:The Protagonist not remembering it is a factor that makes Miyako yandere; correcting that mistake restores her senses.]]

* UnkemptBeauty: She doesn't ordinarily wear makeup and still considered a beauty without it.

The Protagonist's childhood friend. She has an almost parental involvement in his life, and this generation's [[KnowledgeBroker Info Woman]]. While normally a kind and cheerful girl, with a streak of DeadpanSnarker, [[spoiler: her personality does a complete 180 in the middle of her route, becoming a chilling {{Yandere}}]], though eventually everything returns to normal. Because of this trait, Miyako quickly became this game's EnsembleDarkHorse.

* ClingyJealousGirl: Becomes this during and after [[spoiler: her {{Yandere}} moment]]. After she snaps out of it, she'll refuse giving you information on the other girls any longer.
** If the Protagonist continues to purse other girls [[spoiler:after the {{Yandere}} phase, she will have momentary relapses and stalk them during dates]].

* ExpositoryHairstyleChange: She has two! Miyako begins the game with her hair tied back. If you unlock her route and [[spoiler: she goes into her Yandere-mood]], she will let her hair hang loosely around her face. Continuing on her route persistently [[spoiler: and snapping her out of her Yandere-mood]] will make Miyako tie her hair up into a ponytail.

* HiddenBuxom: [[spoiler:Miyako's end game three sizes are 87-55-85. This makes her only 1 cm smaller than Fumiko's bust (her three sizes are 88-58-89 at end game). The Protagonist never notices this until Miyako wears a bikini.]]
* ImmuneToBullets: Miyako is completely immune to the customary Tokimeki Bomb from other girls, because she knows the Protagonist so well and immediately recognizes them as false rumors. [[spoiler:During the Yandere phase, she will call him on the phone and directly tell him this.]]
* JustFriends: What she has resigned herself to be, unless the Protagonist strengthens her dream that [[VictoriousChildhoodFriend she can be more]].
* LateArrivalSpoiler: It's really hard to miss the fact that [[spoiler: she goes {{Yandere}} at a moment of the storyline]], as it's one of the most discussed things around this game, and what makes Miyako its EnsembleDarkHorse.

* PrankDate: What she perceived was the case. [[spoiler:After repeatedly asking (an ominous thirteen times), the Protagonist convinces Miyako to go on a date with him. This event boosts her hopes, as she's always been in love with him, and now thinks the feeling is mutual. However soon after this date, the Protagonist makes an idiot remark how Miyako would make a lovely wife for another man. This shatters her psyche, as she begins to believe the Protagonist is screwing with her emotions.]]
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Some early promotional artwork has them purple, but in-game and post release artwork clearly follows this trope, for the many reasons already explained in other entries.
* ThirteenIsUnlucky: You have to call her and ask her out on a date ''thirteen times'' before she finally agrees to go out on a date with you... [[spoiler: it starts off her route and you realize how that number was pretty omnious when she goes {{Yandere}} on you.]]

As a delinquent, she's quite the slacker and hardly attends class. Nonetheless, [[BrilliantButLazy she's brilliant]] and gets [[HardWorkHardlyWorks excellent marks on exams]]. The perspective of inheriting the Ryukoji Conglomerate doesn't please Kai in the slightest, and as such, she's torn between loyalty towards her father (who she loves despite some friction and his annoying [[OverprotectiveDad overprotectiveness]]), and her desire to live as a normal girl.

** Moreover, her {{Limit Break}}s in battle are a fountain of Shout Outs. One of them has her trying to invoke her father to slash the enemy, [[OverprotectiveDad Yukari]] [[KatanasAreJustBetter Koshiki-]][[{{Yakuza}} style]], and another has her invoke [[VideoGame/{{Gradius}} Vic Viper]] by playing the KonamiCode on a VideoGame/DanceDanceRevolution board.

Her father is a powerful man who looks and behaves suspiciously {{Yakuza}}. However unlike Yukari Koshiki, she's a brash {{Tomboy}} [[{{Delinquents}} Delinquent]] who's extremely good at fighting and has a DeathGlare that causes others to flee in terror without lifting a finger. It's because the Protagonist holds this glare, that Kai is impressed enough to let him meet and befriend her.
