First, she manipulates Moonstone with promises of sparing her friends to aid her in manipulating Yellow Diamond, thus allowing her to go to Earth and track down Pink Diamond's killer. Then she manipulates Steven into thinking she's an innocent runaway gem to try and get the truth out of him. It ''almost'' works, but the rest of the Crystal Gems discovered the truth and forced her to drop the act.
