* TheSmartGuy: He's a GadgeteerGenius and unarguably the smartest Goonie thanks to his various inventions.
* SoProudOfYou: When Data's dad, an inventor like his son, tries to take a picture with a spring-loaded camera though it fails. Data tells his father that it's alright, since he cannot hug a photo. His dad responds with "You are my greatest invention."

* AttentionWhore: Implied to be one of the reasons he lies so much.

* BigDamnHero: [[spoiler: Along with Sloth comes to the rescue of the Goonies in the finale. Though exactly how they got down to their location so fast is anyone's guess.[[note]]Granted, by the time Chunk and Sloth went through the tunnels, all the paths were open and the booby traps had been sprung. However, the heroes must battle through his traps to reach his treasure and Mikey certainly views their quest as a personal duel between himself and Willy. Also, in his time, Willy was a far greater BigBad than the Fratellis (he did [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking kill all of his men]]) and Ma Fratelli seems to regard his corpse with a certain mutual criminal reverence.
