Unlike Pazuzu's vulgar and arrogant personality, Lamashtu is more vicious and sadistic, enjoying tormenting the girls without resorting to Pazuzu's trademark trash talk. She's also much less of a subtle operator, whereas Pazuzu took his time and intentionally misled characters into thinking Regan was only mentally ill, Lamashtu instigates supernatural activity in her victims homes almost immediately, exposing her nature with every display of power she can think of. She doesn't take her conflict with the exorcists personally, staying focused on her goal instead of getting distracted by vengeance. And finally, unlike Pazuzu, she's not a SmugSnake who overestimates her intelligence. Throughout the film, she effortlessly manipulates both families and plays on Tony's weak-willed nature to trick him into giving up his own daughter's soul, winning without expending any significant effort.
