She loses her husband, is accused of his murder, is regularly mistreated by her mother in law, and finds out her husband was actually a lying scumbag and her uncle who she idolized tries to kill her dad. But she gets to end the series with a million dollars to solve her dad's money troubles, able to pursue a happy relationship with Hannah, free from Isabel and Sebastien's mistreatment and seeing her sister and Aniq get engaged.]]

* MeaninglessVillainVictory: [[spoiler: She eventually manages to sell off all of Edgar’s Crypto assets before news of his death breaks and force Grace to sign the prenup meaning that she ends up in control of Edgar’s money. However Sebastian’s fire sale to get rid of the Crypto caused him to sell it for sixty two cents on the dollar reducing its value by millions or billions and Travis manages to make the coin triple in value even after the news breaks. Additionally though Grace ends up giving up Edgar’s money she still gets a million from just signing the prenup, more than enough to help her family's money problems, and Grace and Hannah’s relationship means that in the long run Grace will probably still inherit the money.]]

* MistakenForMurderer: He does have the clearest motive for wanting to kill Sebastian and after his testimony, Aniq is initially convinced he is the one that did the murder. [[spoiler: As it turns out, it was Ulysses. Not him]].

* MrViceGuy: He can be curt, frigid, and way too focused on work for his own good (even towards his own fiancee) but it's not intentional most of the time. There are times in the show when he's genuinely kind, such as standing up for Grace against his mother's disdain for her or helping Aniq impress Zoe's parents after he became the ButtMonkey for the weekend. However, there are instances of him being cold or even downright cruel, such as cutting up a valuable baseball card as retribution for Sebastian's lack of trust in him. He doesn't quite pass the point of {{Jerkass}} though as his flaws come from his socially inept personality rather than any intentional malice.

* AccidentalMurder: Him murdering Edgar was a complete accident. He never intended to kill him but instead his brother.
