* SuddenSequelHeelSyndrome: Rusty appears to have suffered this once you reach the Temple of the Destroyer, where Rusty is apparently worshipped as a god of destruction by an insane cult. Some NPCs even think he's the one causing the earthquakes, which even Dorothy starts to believe on some level. He isn't. Rosie's machine was causing the earthquakes, and Rusty's machines were trying to stop her.

* BigBad: Rosie turns out to be this, though it's hard to tell how much of it was really her and not Vectron. She was the true villain of one behind the story tremors and framed Rusty for her deeds.Rusty's disappearance, using an earthquake generator built with Vectron's tech in an attempt to exterminate the robots while manipulating Dorothy into destroying his failsafes.

The previous protagonist of the first Steamworld game. Having gone missing after his fight against Vectron, it may appear that the Vectron technology that he got upgraded had corrupted him and turned him into a villain that wrecked havoc in El Machino's surroundings, up to creating machines that caused earthquakes and even creating a Doomsday Cult that worships him as a God of destruction. In truth, Rosie captured him and used his unique technology to create a reactor that distilled moonshine to control moonshiners.

[[folder:Rosie (SPOILER ALERT)]]
[[quoteright:727:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_0931.png]]
Unlike the other dumb moonshiners, Rosie is a different one. Being an anomaly herself amongst her kind that grants her a genius intellect, she meets Dorothy and tells her that she knows who is Rusty, more specifically, the guy who has been tampering her machines. She tells Dorothy to destroy some failsafes that Rusty put across the land to help her.
----
* BeautyEqualsGoodness: Subverted. Rosie is a moonshiner that doesn't look deformed and is actually rather beautiful. But she is also an evil mastermind that manipulated Dorothy to do her binding and plans to kill all the robots to TakeOverTheWorld.
* EvilAllAlong: It turns out that Rosie was the one who caused Rusty to disappear because she wanted the Vectron technology he had in his body to power up a battle mecha-suit that she would use alongside a moonshine distillery machine to unify all the other moonshiners and TakeOverTheWorld.
* UncertainDoom: When Dorothy defeats her, the mecha-suit falls down and is destroyed, but Rosie is nowhere to be seen making her fate very ambiguous. Whether she survived the explosion of Earth, she definitely won't come out unscathed.
* WrenchWench: She is a moonshiner who knows how to build machines that only a prodigious engineer could do.

[[quoteright:542:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_0797.png]]
A mysterious being made of electrictyelectricity that was inside a statue of the Doomsday Cultists. They are a {{jerkass}} being related to Vectron technology but becomes the best friend of Dorothy after she beats them out of the statue.

[[spoiler:For more information of them in Heist, [[VideoGame/SteamWorldHeist click here.]]
----
* DeadpanSnarker: Their lines are mostly comprised of sarcastic comments.
* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Fen supposedly dies when they sacrifice themselves to save Dorothy and Rusty from certain death after defeating Rosie. It turns out they managed to survive and returns back in VideoGame/SteamWorldHeist.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: They are certainly not the nicest character of the game. Far from it, they enjoyed killing cultists back when they were stuck in the statue. As the game progresses, they become kinder to the point that [[spoiler:they sacrifice themselves to save Dorothy and Rusty from the lava.]]

The blue {{Fembot}} from the first game, she leaves Tumbleton in search of finding Rusty, feeling that he didn't die in Vectron and is somewhere else, she takes the role of the playable character in contrast of her role as an [=NPC=] in VideoGame/SteamWorldDig.
