* AlternateIdentityAmnesia: Initially, this was averted - while Nightmare is Siegfried's SuperpoweredEvilSide courtesy of being Malfested by Soul Edge, his mind is still Siegfried's -- heavily warped by evil -- and once his humanity is restored Siegfried remembers all the travesties he had committed as Nightmare. However, his extended Soul Chronicle added as part of Hwang's DLC pack reveals that -- like in the original timeline -- [[spoiler:as Soul Edge regains its power it begins to directly take control of him and turn him back into Nightmare for brief durations, with Siegfried having no recollections of the massacres he commits under its control. After Siegfried sacrifices his restored humanity to save Soul Caliber from being consumed by Inferno, his re-Malfested body is under Soul Edge's direct control with Siegfried's consciousness trapped in Astral Chaos alongside Soul Calibur.]]
