Eggman's two bumbling hench-bots built to be his right-hand men, taking Snively's position after his betrayal and imprisonment.

Sonic's metal arch-nemesis and doppelganger. There have been multiple robots called Metal Sonic, ranging from ones that have taken entire issues to destroy to disposable sucide bombs, but the one with the game-accurate design is considered "The" Metal Sonic.

* CompositeCharacter: Eggman started as an {{expy}} of Robotnik from the ''WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM'' animated series, being an alternate dimension of the deceased Robotnik. With time, he would adopt the design and ideas of ''Videogame/SonicAdventure'' onwards, but he would still be considered primarly Robotnik from ''[=SatAM=]''. This could be seen in issue 200, where Eggman would keep his black eyes from the previous Robotnik.

* CronicBackstabbingDisorder: If he has to, he'll swallow his pride and work with the Freedom Fighters to deal with a bigger threat, since not doing so could lead to destroying the world he wants to conquer. You can almost always count on him pulling this after.

* FourEyesZeroSoul: Eggman's addition of rounded Spectacles to his character design really set him apart from Robotnik. The round lenses make for a lot of Eggman's more comical expressions especially in regard to Robotnik's imposing red and black eyes. That said, Eggman's comedy often goes hand in hand with his cruelty and there's many a time where the light glints off of them in just enough of a sinister way.

* EasilyForgiven: No matter how many times he betrays Robotnik. No matter the fact he's directly responsible for the death of Robotnik Prime. Robotnik ''always'' ends up forgiving him and welcoming him back with open arms, usually ''for no given reason'' other than [[StatusQuoIsGod preserving the status quo]].
** [[spoiler: It's finally averted in his final appearance in the old continuity as Eggman decides to keep him imprisoned for good after his last betrayal failed so epically.

* MakeMeWannaShout: Uses his cybernetics-enhanced sonar as a weapon.

* CatchPhrase: Like his original counterpart, he tends to shout "I ''HATE'' THAT HEDGEHOG!!!" whenever Sonic foils his plans or otherwise defeats him.

* UnwillingRoboticisation: Once his modus operandi, though thanks to the alien BEM for a long time he could not do this. After the first Genesis Wave, this began to reset.

* NonUniformUniform: All bosses and soldiers of Eggman's Egg Army bear outfits that usually share one or two similarities with Eggman's own outfit, classic or modern.

* FanGirl: Of Eggman. She has a number of posters and plush toys of him in her room, including a poster of Eggman and Metal Sonic with her own face pasted over Metal Sonic's.

In the rebooted world, even though Snively is currently working for G.U.N., apparently he was part of Eggman's attempts to conquer South Island, build the Death Egg, and then steal the Master Emerald during the events of ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog1'' -- ''VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles''. Knuckles furiously evicts him from Angel Island upon recognizing him.

* GamerGirl: Cassia's implied to be one of these, what with her knowledge of "Triple-S".

* DoesNotLikeShoes: One of the very few characters in the entire comic to go barefoot.
