A Mecurian alien, Tyzonn was a rescue worker, but during one mission, he lost his team in a cave-in caused by the Fear Cats. He tracked them to Earth, but was forcibly turned into a monster by Moltor in the latter's mission to gain the Corona Aurora jewels. After, he met the Rangers, and after being turned back to normal by the Sentinel Knight, he joined Operation Overdrive as the Mercury Ranger.

An archaeologist, billionaire, inventor and industrialist , along with being father to Mack. After accidentally releasing Fulrious and Moltor, he put together the Overdrive Rangers providing them with their powers, weapons, and Zords. He originally planed to be the Red Ranger, but allowed Mack to join after the latter proved himself in the first battle.

An ancient knight who was the original keeper of the Corona Aurora jewels and the crown. After Flurious and Moltor awoke once more, his spirit gave Andrew Hartford the mission to find the jewels. Midway though the season, he fused with the Excelsior sword, not only reviving him, but now allowing him to fight with the Rangers.

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: At least how the Overdrive Rangers feel, as to them, the Retro Rangers were brought in as replacements. However, the old Rangers don't lord their experience over them, and know that their Powers will return eventually.
