!!Multi-Role

Pokémon with multiple Unite Licenses under different roles. Because these Unite Licenses represent the same Pokémon, only one of them can be on a team at any given time.

[[folder:Mewtwo]]
[[folder:Mega Mewtwo X]]
!!Mewtwo (ミュウツー, Mewtwo)

[[quoteright:448:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_0576_1.png]]

Mewtwo is a Legendary Psychic-type Pokémon from Kanto. The player who selects Mewtwo can choose from two licenses for Mewtwo, one that allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo X as an All-Rounder and other to allow it to Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo Y as an Attacker. Both forms of Mewtwo share the same moves, with slight adjustments to suit its roles.

* Mewtwo's ability Pressure causes attacks against opposing (but not wild) Pokémon to fill up a Mega Gauge. As the Mega Gauge fills, Mewtwo gains a stacking stat bonus (Attack, Defense, and Sp. Defense for Mega Mewtwo X, Sp. Attack and attack speed for Mega Mewtwo Y). When the Mega Gauge is maxed out and Mewtwo is at least level 5, it will Mega Evolve for 15 seconds, gaining further bonuses to the stats increased by the Mega Meter as well as a boost to health and movement speed.
* Mewtwo's first move, Confusion, is a Sure Hit move damages a target and makes it briefly unable to act. It upgrades at level 5:
** Future Sight is a Sure Hit move that shoves the target (toward Mewtwo for Mega Mewtwo X, away from it for Mega Mewtwo Y) and makes it briefly unable to act. The target takes more damage from Mewtwo and is slowed. When the debuff's duration runs out, the target takes damage a second time, boosted by a percentage of the damage it took during that time.
** Psystrike is a Sure Hit move that channels psychic energy onto the target, damaging and slowing it over time, before unleashing a blast that deals damage and launches enemies in an area of effect into the air. While channeling, Mewtwo is unstoppable and takes reduced damage.
* Mewtwo's second move, Barrier, is a Buff move that grants it a shield and increases its movement speed. It upgrades at level 7:
** Recover is a Buff move that grants Mewtwo a shield and increases its movement speed. If used by Mega Mewtwo X, it heals each time the shield absorbs damage, and if the shield is depleted by enemy damage, Mewtwo's Mega Gauge increases and its move cooldowns are reduced. If used by Mega Mewtwo Y, it instead heals based on damage dealt by Mewtwo, and reduces cooldowns and increases Mega Gauge if the shield lasts to the end of its duration.
** Teleport is a Dash move that teleports Mewtwo a short distance and grants it a buff that increases movement speed and damage dealt, and causes its Mega Gauge to increase faster. If used by Mega Mewtwo Y, it can teleport a second time within a short period.
* Its Unite Move, Infinite Psyburn, unlocks at level 9. Mewtwo channels a psychic blast on the current location of all enemies which strikes after 1 second, damaging and stunning enemies hit while reducing their Defense/Sp. Defense.

to:

\n* BarrierWarrior: One of its basic moves is Barrier, which gives Mewtwo a shield for a short time. Upgrading it to Recover causes it to heal each time the shield takes damage (for Mega Mewtwo X) or when Mewtwo deals damage (as Mega Mewtwo Y).
* DamageIncreasingDebuff: Future Sight causes the target to take increased damage from Mewtwo for a short duration. At the end of the duration, it causes a DelayedExplosion whose damage is increased by a percentage of the total damage taken by the target.
* ElementalPunch: Mega Mewtwo X's basic attack is a punch shrouded by psychic energy.
* HealingFactor: Mewtwo can learn Recover which surrounds it with a shield for a short time, granting it increased speed. It is healed based on the amount of damage Mega Mewtwo X takes from enemy attacks or Mega Mewtwo Y deals to enemies and at level 13, will restore more health.
* HourOfPower: Without its Mega Evolution, Mewtwo is a run-of-the-mill damage dealer. However, survive for long enough to Mega Evolve, and it will rip through nearly any opponent in its path until the Mega Evolution runs out.
* LimitBreak:
** Infinite Psybeam where Mewtwo calls down a powerful psychic blast on each opposing Pokémon and when struck, they not only take damage but are also stunned and have their defense decreased for a short time.
** Mewtwo's Mega Gauge fills up when it attacks enemy players or through its secondary move upgrades, and when full, it Mega Evolves for a short time starting from level 5.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: Starts with Barrier and Recover also grants Mewtwo a shield with the latter decreasing Mewtwo's move cooldown and increasing its Mega Gauge.
* MageMarksman: Mega Mewtwo Y's basic attacks are pretty wimpy in its base form, in which most of its damage is dealt by either Psystrike or Future Sight. However, upon Mega Evolving, its attacks become much more powerful and deal area-of-effect damage, allowing it to mow things down indiscriminately, and it still has its moves to supplement that damage.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Mewtwo is so far the only Pokémon who can Mega Evolve and as such has two licenses, one for Mega Mewtwo X and one for Mega Mewtwo Y.
* MovesetClone: Both forms of Mewtwo have the same moves, but with slightly different mechanics.
* {{Nerf}}: Mega Mewtwo X got hit by an emergency patch after dominating at launch that reduces the stat increase for Defense with Mega Gauge, reduces the stat increases given by Mega Evolution and increases cooldown on Psystrike, Recover and Teleport.
* PsychicPowers: Psychic-type and most of its moves are Psychic-type.
* ShortRangeGuyLongRangeGuy: Mega Mewtwo X is built for brawling with enemies up close, while Mega Mewtwo Y is a long-ranged MageMarksman.
* StatusEffects: Confusion prevents an enemy Pokémon from moving and Future Sight inflicts a slow.
* SuperMode: Mewtwo has a Mega Gauge that fills up via either dealing damage with basic attacks or using Recover or Teleport. When the Mega Gauge is full when Mewtwo is at least level 5, the Genetic Pokémon Mega Evolves getting increased Attack, Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense, moves faster and recovers health with each basic attack. In addition, Mega Mewtwo X changes difficulty from Novice to Intermediate and the Style from Melee to Ranged.
* YouWillNotEvadeMe: Future Sight, one of the upgrades for Confusion, allows Mega Mewtwo X to reel enemies in from a distance. Additionally, one of its upgrades for Barrier is Teleport, which not only lets Mewtwo teleport a short distance to stay on top of enemies but also increases Mewtwo's damage output. Combine either (or both) with its Mega Evolution, which not only has a faster than average movement speed but also dashes a short distance with its basic attacks, and Mega Mewtwo X is very hard to run away from.

[[folder:Pikachu]]
!!Pikachu (ピカチュウ, ''Pikachu'')
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_pikachu_2.png]]
Pikachu, the Mouse Pokémon, is an Electric-type Pokémon from the Kanto region and the [[SeriesMascot mascot of the franchise at large.]] It is a social Pokémon which stores electricity in its cheeks for defense; when gathered together, they are known to cause lightning storms with their collective electric charge.\\
\\
Pikachu is a Novice-difficulty Ranged Attacker which boasts a plethora of powerful attacks capable of inflicting paralysis on enemies, allowing it to keep at a safe distance from enemies and impede their movement. It is one of the five possible choices for a starter Pokémon when first beginning the game. Uniquely, unlike most other Pokémon in the game, Pikachu does not evolve despite having two possible evolutions in the main series: Raichu[[note]](ライチュウ, ''Raichu'')[[/note]] and its Alolan variant.
* Pikachu's Ability, ''Static'', paralyzes all enemies around it for a short period when it receives damage. The effect goes on cooldown after it is triggered.
* Its boosted basic attack deals increased damage and paralyzes enemies for a short period on hit.
* Its first move, ''Thunder Shock'', is a Sure Hit move in which Pikachu releases electricity around it, dealing damage to all enemies in the area of effect and paralyzing them for a short time. It upgrades at level 4, with its upgrade options being:
** ''Electro Ball'', a Sure Hit move in which Pikachu launches an electric orb that increases in damage the lower an enemy's HP is and paralyzes enemies in the area of effect. At level 11, it upgrades to ''Electro Ball+'', which has increased damage.
** ''Thunder'', an Area move which summons thunderbolts within a circular space, dealing heavy damage to all enemies that are hit. At level 11, it upgrades to ''Thunder+'', which attacks an increased amount of times.
* Its second move, ''Electroweb'', is a Hindrance move that traps enemies that are hit within an electric net, leaving them unable to move for a short period of time. It upgrades at level 6, with its upgrade options being:
** ''Volt Tackle'', a Hindrance move in which Pikachu electrifies itself and charges forward, throwing back enemies on hit. At level 13, it upgrades to ''Volt Tackle+'', which has a reduced cooldown.
** ''Thunderbolt'', a Hindrance move in which Pikachu attacks an area with a powerful electric blast, damaging enemies and leaving them unable to act for a brief period. At level 13, it upgrades to ''Thunderbolt+'', which has increased damage.
* At level 9, Pikachu unlocks its Unite Move, ''Thunderstorm'': an Area move in which it summons powerful thunderbolts in a large radius around its position.
\\
Pikachu's Holowear currently includes [[HipHop Hip-Hop Style Pikachu]].
----
* CrutchCharacter: Finally averted thanks to the Christmas Patch, which buffs Pikachu's [[LimitBreak Unite Move]] so it charges more frequently. Pikachu is notably very powerful as he is the only character during early lane phases with a strong nuke as well as one Hindrance move that lasts for around 1 second; but, as soon as the other Pokemon hits their stat spikes via evolution, Pikachu's best thing to do was to rely on the moves that gives him Crowd Control, which other Pokemon will also have access with better mileage.
* SeriesMascot: Naturally, being the mascot of the ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' franchise at large, Pikachu is front and center alongside Cinderace in the majority of promotional material for the game.
* ShockAndAwe:
** ''Thundershock'' is a [[AlwaysAccurateAttack Sure Hit]]+Hindrance Sp. Attack move that targets one Pokémon but can hit the target's surrounding teammate/s as well as slow down anyone affected. This move can change to:
*** ''Thunder'' - an [=AOE=] move that damages opponents over time
*** ''Electro Ball'' - a [[AlwaysAccurateAttack Sure Hit]]+Hindrance move that works similarly to Thundershock but slows down the opponent as well.
** ''Electro Web'' is a Hindrance move that damages the opponent as well as roots it. This move can change into:
*** ''Thunderbolt'' - a Hindrance+[=AOE=] move that both damages and stuns the opponent for a long time
*** ''Volt Tackle'' - a Sure Hit Sp. Attack move that targets one Pokémon as well as stuns him for the duration of the move.
** LimitBreak: Pikachu's Unite Move, ''Thunderstorm'', makes an [=AOE=] damage over time towards anyone within the skill Radius
** StaticElectricity: Pikachu's Ability, ''Static'', paralyzes the opponents who make contact with him. Because Pikachu is a GlassCannon, this skill only encourages Pikachu to run away or play keep-away in a clash than tank and stay in the middle of the fight.

[[folder:Cinderace ''[-(Aceburn)-]'']]
!!Cinderace (エースバーン, ''Aceburn'')
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_cinderace.png]]
Cinderace, the Striker Pokémon, is a Fire-type Pokémon found in the Galar region as the Stage-2 evolution of the Starter Pokémon Scorbunny[[note]](ヒバニー, ''Hibanny'')[[/note]]. It is a highly competitive Pokémon capable of creating flaming soccer balls from pebbles by juggling them with its feet. Though skilled at both offense and defense, it has a tendency for showboating that often gets it into trouble.\\
\\
Cinderace is a Novice-difficulty Ranged Attacker with a moveset geared towards high mobility, capable of increasing its speed and hindering its enemies with burns to clear a path for quick goals. It begins the match as Scorbunny, evolving into Raboot[[note]](ラビフット, ''Rabbifuto'')[[/note]] at level 5 and its final form at level 7.
* Cinderace's Ability, ''Blaze'', causes it to place a 'cinder' on any enemies it hits with an attack or move; attacking enemies afflicted with a cinder a certain amount of times will cause the cinder to flare, dealing additional damage. Additionally, it boosts Cinderace's first basic attack after any move, as well as increases its critical hit rate and basic attack speed for a brief period when at half-HP or lower.
* Its boosted basic attack deals increased damage on hit.
* Its first move, ''Ember'', is a Sure Hit move that fires a small flame at enemies, inflicting them with a burn effect that reduces their Attack and deals gradual damage for a short period of time. It upgrades at level 7, with its upgrade options being:
** ''Pyro Ball'', a Ranged attack and Cinderace's SignatureMove in which it kicks a ball of flame in a chosen direction, burning them for a short time on hit. At level 11, it upgrades to ''Pyro Ball+'', which reduces the cooldown of Cinderace's ''Flame Charge'' or ''Feint'' when it hits an enemy.
** ''Blaze Kick'', an Sure Hit move in which Cinderace performs a fiery flying kick that renders him immune to hindrances during use. It is guaranteed to be a critical hit, and enemies struck by it are shoved back and burned. At level 11, it upgrades to ''Blaze Kick+'', which increases the speed of Cinderace's basic attacks after the move hits.
* Its second move, ''Low Sweep'', is a Dash Move that delivers a swift sweep of the legs in a given direction, dealing damage to any enemy it hits. It upgrades at level 8, with its upgrade options being:
** ''Flame Charge'', a Dash move in which Cinderace covers itself in flames and launches forward, damaging enemies hit. At level 13, it upgrades to ''Flame Charge+'', which causes the next boosted attack after its use to decrease enemies' movement speed for a short duration.
** ''Feint'', a Buff move that grants Cinderace invincibility and increased movement speed for a short period of time. At level 13, it upgrades to ''Feint+'', which causes the next three basic attacks after the move's use to restore Cinderace's HP.
* At level 9, Cinderace unlocks its Unite Move, ''Blazing Bicycle Kick'': a Sure Hit move which launches a massive Pyro Ball at a designated location. The attack releases a large shock wave upon impact that damages enemies within its area of effect, and also boosts Cinderace's movement speed for a short time when it hits.
\\
Cinderace's Holowear currently includes [[DressedToPlunder Captain Style Cinderace]].
----

* EscapeBattleTechnique: ''Feint'' is a move that prevents anyone from hitting Cinderace during the whole one second of the move.
* PlayingWithFire: Being a Fire-type Pokemon, Cinderace has access to four Fire-type moves in this game.
** ''Ember'' is a basic Fire-type attack where Cinderace sets one opponent on fire. It is replaced by the following two Fire-type Moves
*** ''Pyro Ball'' is a ranged Fire-type attack where Cinderace kicks a powerful ball in a linear and narrow [=AOE=].
*** ''Blaze Kick'' is a melee Fire-type attack.
* SeriesMascot: Fittingly for a game centered around scoring goals, Cinderace is prominently featured in ''Unite's'' promotional material, effectively as TheRival to Pikachu. Notably, it's at the front of the line in the game's Switch icon.

[[folder:Alolan Ninetales ''[-(Kyukon)-]'']]
!!Alolan Ninetales (キュウコン, ''Kyukon'')
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_alolan_ninetales_2.png]]
A variant of Ninetales, the Fox Pokémon, found exclusively in the mountains of the Alola region. Unlike its Fire-type counterpart from the Kanto region, Alolan Ninetales is an Ice/Fairy type Pokémon which creates drops of ice in its coat to ward off enemies. It is fiercely territorial, guiding travelers to the mountain's base solely to get them to leave and freezing those who anger it without hesitation.\\
\\
Alolan Ninetales is an Intermediate-difficulty Ranged Attacker capable of slowing its enemies to make up for its own low mobility. Its attacks are also able to freeze enemies solid, leaving them unable to act and setting Ninetales and its allies up for easy knockouts. It begins the match as Alolan Vulpix[[note]](ロコン, ''Rokon'')[[/note]] before evolving at level 4.
* Alolan Ninetales's Ability, ''Snow Warning'', causes snow to fall from the sky upon nearby enemies every few seconds, damaging them and decreasing their movement speed for a short duration. Additionally, it causes Ninetales's boosted attacks and moves to sling snow; hitting the same enemy with snow multiple times will freeze it for a short period of time.
* Its boosted basic attack reduces the movement speed of nearby enemies on hit.
* Its first move, ''Powder Snow'', is an Area move that launches a gust of snow in a cone in front of Alolan Vulpix, slowing enemies caught within its area of effect. It upgrades at level 4, with its upgrade options being:
** ''Avalanche'', an Area move which launches a blast of chilly ice in a chosen direction; at the end of its travel, the ice forms a wall that cannot be passed through on land. After a short period of time, the ice wall melts and collapses, dealing damage to nearby enemies. At level 11, it upgrades to ''Avalanche+'', which also reduces the movement speed of enemies for a short duration on hit.
** ''Dazzling Gleam'', a Hindrance move which summons a cone of blinding light in front of Alolan Ninetales; enemies that are hit by the attack are stunned and left unable to act for a short period of time. At level 11, it upgrades to ''Dazzling Gleam+'', which has increased damage and stun duration.
* Its second move, ''Icy Wind'', is a Ranged move that launches a gust of freezing air, damaging and slowing enemies on hit. It upgrades at level 6, with its upgrade options being:
** ''Blizzard'', a Ranged move which fires two icy blasts in front of Alolan Ninetales. In addition to damaging enemies, each blast has a unique effect on hit: the first blast decreases enemies' movement speed, while the second blast shoves enemies. Additionally, if the second blast strikes an obstacle, it will do additional damage to enemies around the point of impact. At level 13, ''Blizzard'' upgrades to ''Blizzard+'', which has increased damage.
** ''Aurora Veil'', a Buff move which creates an aurora in a small circle around Alolan Ninetales. Allies standing within the aurora's radius will receive damage reduction; additionally, Alolan Ninetales itself will also have its movement speed and all of its basic attacks boosted while within the aurora. At level 13, it upgrades to ''Aurora Veil+'', which increases the amount of damage reduction that the aurora gives.
* At level 9, Alolan Ninetales unlocks its Unite Move, ''Snow Globe'': an Area move in which it attacks with chilly snow and ice in a large radius around its position. The move does increased damage to frozen enemies.
----

* BarrierWarrior: ''Avalanche'' creates a large ice wall at the end of the damage area.
* AnIcePerson:
** ''Powder Snow'' is an attack that can slow down the opponent. This move can be replaced by
*** ''Avalanche'', an [=AOE=] move that slows the opponent as well as forming a wall at the end of the move.
*** ''[[LightEmUp Dazzling Gleam]]'': A cone of light that damages and stuns enemies caught in it.
** ''Icy Wind'' is an [=AOE=] move that can slow down the opponent as well. This move can be replaced by
*** ''Blizzard'', which is an [=AOE=] move that has two phases. The first phase casts a wind which slows down the opponent, then the second phase casts a wind which push opponents away.
*** ''[[StatusBuff Aurora Veil]]'', which is a BattleAura that reduce the damage received by any ally near A-Ninetales, including its user, as well as making all of A-Ninetales' auto attacks Boosted Attacks for the duration, giving Ninetales cleave, additional damage, and stacking their passive on enemies.
* LimitBreak: ''Snowglobe'', A-Ninetales's Unite Move, is an [=AOE=] spell that deals damage within its radius, with additional damage to Frozen enemies.
* RedMage: Alolan Ninetales is notable as an Attacker Pokémon for having a lot of supportive effects with its offensive kits.
* StatusInflictionAttack: A-Ninetales's passive (Aside from dropping hail on enemies), has them stack a chilling effect with each ability, hail strike, and boosted auto attack they land. Hitting an enemy with any of these 4 times inflicts ''Freeze'', which is equivalent to Stun.

!!Greninja (ゲッコウガ, ''Gekkouga'')
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_greninja.png]]
Striking from the shadows is the Ninja Pokémon Greninja, a Water/Dark-type Pokémon found in the Kalos region as the Stage-2 evolution of the Starter Pokémon Froakie[[note]](ケロマツ, ''Keromatsu'')[[/note]]. It is a dangerous combatant known to toy with its foes using swift and unpredictable movements, before finishing them off with throwing stars formed out of compressed water.\\
\\
Greninja is an Expert-difficulty Ranged Attacker which makes use of unique evasive techniques to disorient its opponents, allowing it to strike freely with its self-healing Water-type moves or safely retreat in a pinch. It begins the match as Froakie, evolving into Frogadier[[note]](ゲコガシラ, ''Gekogashira'')[[/note]] at level 5 and its final form at level 7.
* Greninja's Ability, ''Torrent'', boosts its Attack stat and movement speed when it is at half health or lower.
* Its boosted basic attack has different effects depending on Greninja's distance from its target. At long range, it deals increased damage to enemies while decreasing their movement speed for a short period; at close range, the attack deals greater damage the lower the enemy's HP is.
* Its first move, ''Bubble'', is a Ranged move which fires a spray of small bubbles at enemies, decreasing the movement speed of those that it hits. It upgrades at level 7, with its upgrade options being:
** ''Water Shuriken,'', a Ranged move in which Greninja slings a volley of watery throwing stars in rapid succession, healing itself and reducing enemies' movement speed for a short period on hit. At level 11, it upgrades to ''Water Shuriken+'', which launches a larger amount of shurikens.
** ''Surf'', a Melee move in which Greninja rides a wave into enemies, damaging them and healing itself. The attack deals increased damage against enemies the lower their HP is, and if it knocks out an enemy its cooldown is reset. At level 11, it upgrades to ''Surf+'', which restores a larger amount of Greninja's HP.
* Its second move, ''Substitute'', is a Dash Move that deploys a substitute doll behind Froakie as it moves forward, covering its escape. It upgrades at level 5, with its upgrade options being:
** ''Double Team'', a Dash move in which Greninja quickly moves in a given direction while creating illusory copies of itself to aid it in battle. At level 13, it upgrades to ''Double Team+'', which has a reduced cooldown.
** ''Smokescreen'', a Dash move in which Greninja creates a lingering smokescreen in a circular area, temporarily blinding enemies caught in it. Afterwards, Greninja rolls away and begins sneaking, granting it invisibility and increased movement speed for a short period of time; additionally, the next basic attack it uses will be boosted. At level 13, it upgrades to ''Smokescreen+'', which increases Greninja's Attack stat for a short period of time when it stops sneaking.
* At level 9, Greninja unlocks its Unite Move, ''Waterburst Shuriken'': an Area move which launches a massive Water Shuriken at a designated location, damaging and temporarily slowing enemies caught in the area of effect. The Water Shuriken then explodes, dealing additional damage and throwing enemies caught by the blast while allowing Greninja to hop away in a chosen direction.
\\
Greninja's Holowear currently includes [[{{Sentai}} Hero Style Greninja]] and [[BlingOfWar Fashionable Style Greninja]].
----
* InterfaceScrew: Both of Greninja's upgrades to ''Substitute'' inflict this upon the enemy: ''Smokescreen'' by covering their screen with black smoke when they enter its area of effect, and ''Double Team'' by spawning duplicates of Greninja with their own minimap icons to sow confusion.
* MakingASplash: Being partly a Water-type Pokemon, Greninja has access to three Water moves:
** ''Bubble''
*** ''Surf'', is a Water-type attack that moves Greninja in one to two direction, dealing damage along the line.
*** SpamAttack: ''Water Shuriken'', is a Water-type attack that allows Greninja to shoot out strong [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Water Shurikens]] in quick succession
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Greninja is notably the only Pokemon who has two different basic (and boosted) attacks. These attacks differ depending on the distance between him and the opponent. Initially, Greninja can throw a projectile of water at comparably the same distance as Cinderace, but when its target is in melee range, its attack is more powerful. A boosted attack done on a distant opponent slows them while a boosted attack done in close range, it does bigger hits while moving at the back of the opponent.
** LimitBreak: His Unite Move ''Waterburst Shuriken'' haves him a wield Water shuriken that's twice its size, throws it on an area, which does a relatively small amount of damage, then landing on it before jumping away while the shuriken explodes, dealing a larger amount of damage.
* NinjaLog: ''Substitute'' creates a plush doll in Greninja's place while Greninja itself moves away with a few HP from him. As Froakie evolves into Frogadier, it replaces this move with one of two moves listed below:
** MesACrowd: ''Double Team'', which produces two extra copies of to fight alongside with and confuse the competition.
** SmokeOut: ''Smokescreen'', a Hindrance move that not only both blinds and slow the user affected within the [=AOE=], but also keeps Frogadier invisible within said [=AOE=].

* GreenThumb:
** ''Seed Bomb'' is an attack that explodes in an [=AoE=]. This move can be replaced by

** ''Razor Leaf'' is a line [=AoE=] that inflicts continuous damage. This move can be replaced by
*** ''[[LightEmUp Solar Beam]]'', a powerful beam of sunlight that does heavy damage.
*** ''[[PetalPower Petal Dance]]'', a storm of petals that surrounds the user and damages enemies that are standing in it. It also speeds up the user's movement. It also reduces the cooldown of Venusaur's other basic ability by 1 second every time it hits at least one enemy Pokémon, [[GuideDangIt a feature not in the move's description]].
* PoisonousPerson: Is Poison-type, and can swap out ''Seed Bomb'' with ''Sludge Bomb'' instead.
* WhipItGood: ''Vine Whip'' is his boosted attack, which has increased damage and range.

Cramorant is a Water/Flying type Pokémon who hails from the Galar region.

* MakingASplash: Cramorant, being partly a Water-type Pokemon, has access to three Water-type moves
** Whirlpool is a Water-type [=AOE=] move that deals damage to a specified circular [=AOE=] as well as slowing down anyone affected by the move. This move will be replaced by ''Surf'' and ''Dive''.
** ''Surf'' is a Water-type [=AOE=] move that pushes then pulls the opponent in a linear but wide area.
** ''Dive'' is a Water-type [=AOE=] move that attacks one area by diving underwater then appearing on the area.
** ShamuFu: True to its original game, Cramorant has access to Gulp Missile, a Passive Skill that, after using Dive or Surf, Cramorant can scoop up either an Arrokuda or a Pikachu ([[AllThereInTheManual explained in lore as a Surfing Pikachu]] which it can throw to any opponents on either its boosted attack or when [[CounterAttack Cramorant gets hit]].
* BlowYouAway: Cramorant, being partly a Flying-type Pokemon, has access to three Flying-type moves
** ''Feather Dance'' is a Flying-type move that debuffs Cramorant's enemies. This move will be replaced by ''Hurricane'' or ''Air Slash''.
*** ''Hurricane'' is a Flying-type move that tosses an opponent Pokemon into the air, dealing damage on their way down.
*** ''Air Slash'' is a Flying-type move that shoots sharp gusts of wind, also allowing Cramorant to move back for the duration of the move.

!!Gardevoir (サーナイト, ''Sirnight'')
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_gardevoir.png]]
A Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon from the Hoenn region, Gardevoir specializes in long-range bombardment.

* GravityMaster: Its Unite move, ''Fairy Singularity'', pulls nearby Pokémon to an area before exploding.
* MagikarpPower: Even with the December 2021 patch lowering a lot of the level requirements for evolving and receiving the newer and more powerful moves, Ralts still struggle on the early game as his initial moveset is limited to one nuke and one teleport, which is why Ralts are usually encouraged to be the team Jungler.
* MechanicallyUnusualClass: Both of its ''Confusion'' upgrades have odd targeting properties: ''Future Sight'' has a delay before it actually deals damage, and ''Psyshock'' targets an area relative to Gardevoir's position, which moves when it does.
* PowerFloats: Ralts, Kirlia, and Gardevoir all levitate above the ground instead of walking.
* PsychicPowers: The Gardevoir line is a Psychic/Fairy type that has access to five Psychic-type moves:
** PsychicTeleportation: Teleport is a move notably accessible only to Ralts (as its upgraded moves does not teleport Kirlia/Gardevoir) that allows Ralts to directly move from one place to anywhere accessible within the specified radius. As soon as Ralts evolves to Kirlia, this attack will be replaced by one of the following moves:
*** ''Psyshock'' is a damaging Psychic-type move where Kirlia/Gardevoir casts attacks on three specified area which heavily depends on the location of Kirlia/Gardevoir.
*** ''Future Sight'' is a damaging Psychic-type move where Kirlia/Gardevoir casts a heavily delayed attack on a specified target area. The upgraded version of this move allows Gardevoir to [[CooldownManipulation use this move again when the initial cast does hit.]]
** ''Confusion'' is a linear [=AOE=] Psychic-type move that hits anyone in the line. As soon as Kirlia evolves to Gardevoir, this attack will be replaced by one of the following moves:
*** ''Psychic'', a direct upgrade of Confusion, is a damaging Psychic-type move that slows down the opponent.
*** LightEmUp: ''Moonblast'', while not a Psychic-type move, is a damaging Fairy-type move that hits anyone in front of Gardevoir. Not only does this move stuns the opponent, it also pushes Gardevoir back.
* {{Synchronization}}: Gardevoir's ''Synchronize'' ability causes any slows or DamageOverTime effects it's inflicted with to also affect the Pokémon that caused them.

[[folder:Sylveon ''[-(Nymphia)-]'']]
!!Sylveon (ニンフィア, ''Nymphia'')
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_sylveon.png]]
Sylveon is a Fairy-type Pokémon who evolves from Eevee as long as said Eevee has high friendship and possesses a Fairy-type Attack.

* AdaptationDecay: Swift, in the mainline Pokemon games, is a [[NonElemental Normal-type]] AlwaysAccurateAttack, which is useful for either ensuring the final hit to be fatal or ensure that the next hit will be consistent if either users have their accuracies or their evasions stats greatly affected. In this game, however, Swift only shoots 4 stars in a straight line, making this move miss if the targetted enemy manages to move out sideways from the linear area.
* DamageOverTime: Three out of four moves Sylveon has deals mildly average but consistent damage for a specified period of time. Draining Kiss and Mystical Fire targets one opponent while Hyper Voice works in an AoE. All three of these moves grows stronger thanks to Pixilate, which increases Sylveon's Sp Atk (and Sp Def) every time each attack hits, making Sylveon deceptively powerful, as some people can see in the End Results screen.
* LifeDrain: Has access to ''Draining Kiss'', a Fairy-type Move that continuously drains the HP of his target as long as said target is within the vicinity.
* LightningBruiser: Sylveon is surprisingly versatile as an Attacker Pokemon as he is one of the few, if not the only, Attacker Pokemon who will survive even after burst attacks from either another Attacker or a Speedster yet can still deal enough damage to win a 1v1 match. Furthermore, a lot of his other moves and Abilities grants him either additional movement speed or an instant Dash move, making him very mobile enough to either start a fight to his team's favor or counter an initiation by staying away from the heat of the fight.
* LimitBreak: Sylveon's Unite move, Fairy Frolic, makes Sylveon momentarily Invulnerable by jumping up in the air. When he lands, he deals damage in a circular [=AOE=] with him in the center as well as healing himself.
* MakeMeWannaShout: Has access to ''Hyper Voice'', a Normal-type Move that continuously damage the opponent inside the cone-shaped [=AOE=], with the most damaging part being on the further end of the area.
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: Downplayed. Despite being a Fairy-type Pokemon, Espeon has access to only two Fairy-type move, one of which will be unlearned in favor of the other Fairy-type move. However, one could argue that Hyper Voice counts as a Fairy-type move as well as [[PragmaticAdaptation Pixilate is originally an ability that turns any Normal-type moves in to Fairy-type moves instead]]
* PlayingWithFire: Has access to ''Mystical Fire'', a Fire-type Move where Sylveon produces 4-5 flames surrounding him. This move will instantly hit any enemies
* StatusBuff: Has access to ''Calm Mind'', a Psychic-type move that buffs Sylveon's Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense and movement speed.
* StarPower: Eevee has access to ''Swift'', a Normal-type move where he shoots a bunch.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: While Sylveon himself doesn't have any differing sexual characteristics, the Eevee he evolves from happens to have the normal Eevee tail. Eevee having a normal tail pattern are male while Eevee having a heart-shaped tail pattern is female; therefore, not only does this mean means the playable Eevee in this game is male, it follows that this playable Eevee will evolve in to a male Sylveon.
* WholesomeCrossdresser: Sylveon is established to be male, but most of his Holowear costumes are feminine in design.
* WoundedGazelleGambit: Eevee has access to ''Baby Doll Eyes'', which not only damage the opponent but also reduces their attack and speed as well.

One of the starters in the Alola Region, Decidueye is a Grass/Ghost-type Pokémon who throws his leaf-like quills like a projectile, even using vines to throw larger quills like a bow and arrow.

* ArcherArchetype: The only Pokémon who plays like an archer.
* CastingAShadow: Being part Ghost-type, Decidueye has access to three Ghost-type moves:
** ''Astonish'' is a single-target move that damages and slows the targeted enemy. This move can be replaced by ''Leaf Storm or ''Shadow Sneak'' if Decidueye reaches Level 7.
** ''Spirit Shackle'' is a linear move that shoots a chargeable arrow - out of 2 - to a specified direction. Decidueye can still move while charging the arrow but move slowly than his regular movement speed.
** ''Shadow Sneak'' is a both a buff and a debuff move that targets the nearest enemy Pokemon, making the target slower as well. When Decidueye uses this moves, he immediately gains a buff that increases his movement speed. It is also helpful in seeking out hidden enemies, as the move prioritizes locking onto other players before focusing on a regular wild Pokémon (only when it's attacked first). After it's upgraded, it allows Decidueye to seek out any hidden enemies nearby without the attack having to connect.
* GreenThumb: Being part Grass-type, Decidueye has access to three Grass-type moves:
** ''Leafage'' is an [=AOE=] move that hits anyone within Rowlet's/Dartrix's vicinity. This move can be replaced by ''Razor Leaf'' or ''Spirit Shackle'' if Dartrix evolves into Decidueye by Level 7.
** ''Razor Leaf'' is a Buff move where Decidueye summons leaves surrounding him. For the next few moments, all of Decidueye's auto-attack will bounce off to the next nearest Pokemon within the target's and Decidueye's vicinity. Upgrading this move further will increase the damage depending on the opponent's remaining HP.
** ''Leaf Storm'' is a linear [=AOE=] move where Decidueye throws a barrage of leaves that damages the enemy as well as pushing the enemies who are at closer distance.
* LimitBreak: Decidueye's Unite Move, Nock Nock, is a linear [=AOE=] move where he is rooted in one place while continuously shooting a barrage of arrows before shooting a larger arrow.
* MagikarpPower: Similar to Cinderace, it only starts learning moves once it evolves to Decidueye and reaches level 7.
* MasterArcher: Hands down the Pokémon with the best range among the rest due to Spirit Shackle and Nock Nock. Nock Nock deserves special mention, as its range reaches further than any other attack (except Dragonite's Draco Meteor, which covers a greater distance).

Duraludon is a Steel/Dragon-type Pokémon that first appeared in the Galar region.

* DishingOutDirt: ''Stealth Rock'' is a Rock-type move where Duraludon throw down a rocky field that slows enemies and deals damage over time. The move is hidden until enemies walk onto it. If an enemy blocks the thrown rock, the field will be set up at their feet instead of the chosen location. If the enemy stays in the field for too long, they will be rooted. Gain a boosted auto after casting the move. Two charges of this move can be stored.
* ExtraOreDinary: As a part Steel-type Pokemon, Duraludon has access to two Steel-type Move
** '' Metal Claw'' is a Steel-type move where Duraludon strikes an area, slowing enemies under said area. Gain a boosted auto after landing the attack. At Level 6, this move can be replaced by either ''Dragon Tail'' or ''Stealth Rock''.
** ''Flash Cannon'' is a Steel-type Move where Duraludon slow, then rooted, enemies in front of Duraludon. For a short time afterward, boosted autoattacks slow enemies and pierce them.
* NonElemental: ''Laser Focus'' is a Normal-type self-buff move that, after reduce damage taken, Duraludon's next 3 autoattacks will deal more damage. At Level 4, Laser Focus can be replaced with either ''Flash Cannon'' or ''Dragon Pulse''
* NoSell: Duraludon's Ability is ''Heavy Metal'', which blocks a shoving or throwing move once before going on cooldown.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: As a part Dragon-type Pokemon, Duraludon has access to two Dragon-type Move
** ''Dragon Pulse'' is a Dragon-type move that can be charged before dealing damage in an area surrounding Duraludon. When charging, your movement speed is decreased, but if the move is charged up, it'll be stronger and hit in a wider area. After learning this move, opponents will be marked up to 6 times whenever Duraludon damages them. When a marked opponent is hit by Dragon Pulse, they will lose all their marks and take additional damage according to how many marks they had. If this move kills an enemy, its cooldown is reduced, and the next 3 autoattacks from Duraludon will also decrease its cooldown.
** ''Dragon Tail'' is a Dragon-type Move that shoves an enemy back and push Duraludon back slightly. After landing this attack, gain a boosted auto. Two charges of this move can be stored.
** LimitBreak: Duraludon's Unite move, Revolving Ruin, makes Duraludon shoot a laser that hits the area surrounding Duraludon with a great radius. Anytime the laser hits an opponent, Duraludon gains an Attack boost as well as an additional Shield bonus, and the burning circle left by the laser damages and slows the opponent upon contact.

A Psychic-type Pokémon who first appeared in the Johto region, Espeon is one of the various Pokémon Eevee can evolve into. In particular, Eevee can evolve into Espeon if it has levels up with enough friendship during the day.
* NonElemental: As Eevee, has access to two Normal-type moves:
** Swift is a Normal-type move that launches three stars initially targeted at one specified designation but continues beyond it until a certain distance. At Lv 4, Espeon can replace this move with either ''Psyshock'' or ''Stored Power''
** Growl is a Normal-type move that deals damage to a linear [=AoE=] as well as slowing anyone within the vicinity. At Lv 6, Espeon can replace this move with either ''Psybeam'' or ''Future Sight''
* PowerFloats: During its scoring animation, Espeon uses its psychic abilities to lift itself off the ground.
* PsychicPowers: Espeon, being a Psychic-type, has access to five Psychic-type moves:
** ''Psyshock'' is a Psychic-type move that launches five projectiles initially targeted at one specified designation but continues beyond it until a certain distance. If all 5 projectiles hits one pokemon, said Pokemon will also be stunned as well.
** ''Stored Power'' is a Psychic-type move where Espeon throws a group of homing projectiles targeting random enemies within Espeon's radius. Up to 5 maximum projectiles can be charged per three seconds.
** ''Psybeam'' is a Psychic-type move where Espeon shoots a laser in a specified direction. If the laser hits, it will bounce to other available nearby target within the radius. The damage of this laser depends on the HP of the first target it hits.
** ''Future Sight'' is a Psychic-type move where Espeon homes on a specific Pokemon, allowing every other moves Espeon use to automatically hit said Pokemon, before finally dealing damage to the target.
** LimitBreak: Her Unite move, Psychic Solare, launches every enemy Pokemon in the vicinity in the air, freezing them in the air, damaging them before finally shoving them.
* StatusBuffDispel: Espeon has two abilities as an Eevee and as an Espeon:
** Eevee's Ability is ''Adaptability'', which negates any Hindrances then becomes immune to Hindrances for a short time.
** Espeon's Ability is ''Magic Bounce'', which is similar to Adaptability and also damages the opponent who inflicted the hindrance while slowing them as well.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: Espeon is confirmed female here, as the Eevee she evolves from has a heart-shaped tail.

Delphox is a Fire/Psychic-type Pokémon who first appeared in Kalos as one of the region's starters.

* CriticalHit: Subverted in the 1st Anniversary patch. Delphox used to notably be the only Mage-type Attacker where two of her spells can potentially deal critical hits. While Delphox does not have any base Crit rate, she is able to make her spells deal critical hits by adding Items such as Scope Lens and/or Razor Claw. This has been patched out in the Anniversary
* PlayingWithFire: Being part Fire-type, Delphox has access to six Fire-type moves:
** Ember: At Level 6, this move can be replaced by one of the moves listed below:
*** Fire Blast: Sends out a linear wave of fire where the affected area will burst after initially sending out a projectile
*** Mystical Fire: Sends out a ball of fire. At Level 11, Mystical Fire+ [[CooldownManipulation can reduce cooldown when the skill hits]]
** Will-O-Wisp:
*** Flame Charge: A Fire-type move where Delphox jumps to a specified place then, if an enemy is present within her vicinity , sends out three projectiles that homes in on them.
*** Fire Spin: A Fire-type move where Delphox throws a whirlwind of Fire that follows an opponent then stunning them by spinning them uncontrollably.
** LimitBreak: His Unite move, Fanciful Fireworks, deals continuous damage in an area, slowing and weakening HP recovery moves as well.
* PsychicPowers: Subverted. Despite being Psychic-type, Delphox has no Psychic-type moves in his arsenal in Pokemon Unite.

Glaceon is one of Eevee's various evolutions, being an Ice-type Pokémon that first appeared in the Sinnoh region.

* AnIcePerson: As an Ice-type Pokemon, Glaceon has access to four Ice-type moves.
** MoreDakka: Icicle Spear is an Ice-type move where Glaceon targets a specific opponent then shoots all available Shards she has. When any other opponent is in between the firing range, the Shard will hit said opponent instead but will still target the original opponent
** Icy Wind is an Ice-type move where Glaceon jumps to an area before throwing all Shards at once.
** Ice Shard is an Ice-type move where Glaceon supplements her basic attack with Ice Shards. Each basic attack will produce 2 more Ice Shards.
** Freeze Dry is an Ice-type move where Glaceon throws an icy wind on a specified direction, generating Ice shards depending on how many opponents were hit within the the circular area, as well as potentially freezing anyone affected in the area.
** LimitBreak: Glacial Stage is an ice-type move where Glaceon freezes an area that damages the opponent underneath said area. Her Ice Shards quickly restocks while she is inside the same area, making Icicle Spear more lethal.
* DifficultButAwesome: Glaceon generally requires more micromanagement than most other Pokemon as she has to actively monitor how many Ice shards stocked in either her Icicle Spear or Icy Wind moves to maximize their potential damage. The Ice shard will stay until the blue bar underneath Glaceon's health bar is drained, and the only way to keep the blue bar up is to keep attacking.
* MageMarksman: Glaceon is notably the only ranged Sp. Attack Pokemon that can actually deal critical damage on both her Basic Attack and one of her skills (Icy Wind). It also seems like her base stats supports this as she not only also gains an initial Critical Hit Rate starting at Level 5, but also has her Basic Attack be entirely based on her Sp Attack, only other Pokemon possessing the same stats being Wigglytuff and Blissey, but this is more relevant to Glaceon as she also gains Spell Vamp as well, which means both her Basic Attack and her skills can heal her, making her Spell Vamp an equivalent to Life Steal on normal Atk-based Pokemons. With all this stats in mind, she still maintains to have Cooldown Reduction like any other [=SpA=]-based Pokemon, making her able to spam skills earlier than most other marksman-type Pokemon
* NonElemental: As an Eevee, she has access to two Normal-type moves:
** Swift is a Normal-type move where Eevee summons 4 stars that suppplements his basic attack. Every time Eevee(G) does a basic attack, she throws a star in addition, throwing the last two stars on the third instance. At Level 4, this attack can be replaced by either Icy Wind or Icicle Spear.
** Tail Whip is a Normal-type move where Eevee whips his tail that lowers targetted opponent's Sp Defense. At Level 6, this attack can be replaced by either Ice Shard or Freeze Dry
* StatusBuffDispel: Has two Ablilities as Eevee and Glaceon
** NoSell: Run Away is an ability that dispels any Hindrances as well as turns Eevee momentarily invincible. After it this Ability activate will trigger a cool down as well.
** InvisibilityCloak: Snow Cloak is an ability that momentarily turns Glaceon invisible instead of being afflicted with any Hindrance. After this Ability activates, it will trigger a cool down as well.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: Similar to Espeon's case, Glaceon is confirmed female as well, as the Eevee she evolves from has a heart-shaped tail.

Mew is a Mythical Psychic Pokemon hailing from under a truck in the Kanto Region. Known as the "Progenitor of all Pokemon", Mew has access to a few moves available to different available Pokemon already, but he can also swap between the moves in a 20 second interval.

* AllYourPowersCombined: While Mew is a Psychic type in general, four of his power are almost a carbon copy of their respective moves prior to Imote Sept 2022
** ''Electro Ball'' works similarly to the same move Pikachu can possess in that Mew hurls a yellow ball that homes to a target opponent, dealing damage as well as paralyzing them
** ''Solar Beam'' works similarly to the same move Venusaur can possess in that Mew shoots a beam of sunlight in a comparably long line.
** ''Surf'' works similar to the same move Blastoise can possess in that Mew summons out a tidal wave that can push opponent on a specified linear direction as well as relocating towards the end of the move.
** ''Light Screen'' works mildly different but visually similar to the same move Mr. Mime can possess in that Mew summons an impassable wall of light. The main difference is every moves listed prior to this move will power up when they pass through the Light Screen. In addition, Mew may use the move again to recall the Light Screen so that it follows him.
* MasterOfAll: The only thing that keeps Mew from being called a ''mislabeled All Rounder'' is his frailty but he can buff his allies, provide crowd control to defend an important location, can relocate himself to either chase down enemy or else escape, yet his powerful attack is nothing to scoff at.

* StoneWall: As most of the Defenders have high HP, they can be built more defensively with more recovery moves and more defensive crowd control skills.

Snorlax is a bear-like Pokemon who likes to sleep and eat. Found obstructing roads in the Kanto region by sleeping, this Pokemon is tough enough to block the important objectives and score goals with his body as well as powerful enough to defeat enemies if his health is lower

* AdvancingWallOfDoom: A well-placed ''Block'' can effectively turn Snorlax into one of these, cutting off enemies from their goals and pushing them directly into the path of your allies to be overwhelmed.
* BarrierWarrior: ''Block'' is a move that can prevent opponent Pokémon from passing through a very large barrier that Snorlax generates.
* BigEater: Snorlax has the ''Gluttonous'' Ability, which doubles the effects of Berry items on the field upon consumption.
* ForcedSleep: ''Yawn'' is an [=AOE=] Hindrance move that forces the opponent under the [=AOE=] to Sleep.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: ''Tackle'' is a Dash move where Snorlax throws his body forward to stun and damage anyone within the line of range. Upgrading this move will give Snorlax either ''Heavy Slam'' or ''Flail''
** ''Heavy Slam'' is an [=AOE=] move where Snorlax can stun its opponent by jumping then slamming himself on the floor.
* LimitBreak: Its Unite Move allows it to slam its body on the floor, healing itself as well as stunning surrounding opponent within the set radius. After a set amount of time, it can use the Unite Move again to generate another shockwave by literally turning on the floor.
* NonElemental: Snorlax, being a Normal-type Pokemon, has access to 6 Normal-type moves.
* StoneWall: Snorlax is not only bulky, it also has a lot of moveset that prevents opponent from passing through Snorlax, making it a threatening presence in areas with tight chokepoints.

[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_crustle.png]]
Crustle is a Bug/Rock Pokémon from the Unova region.

* BarrierWarrior: ''Rock Tomb'' deals lined [=AOE=] damage in front of Crustle then makes a barrier at the end of the line.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: As expected from a Bug-type, Crustle can learn ''X-Scissor'', a melee Bug-type Pokémon where Crustle shoves its target away three times with three slashing motion. Said opponent is stunned during the duration of the move.
* DifficultButAwesome: ''Rock Tomb'' is rather tricky to aim, as [[LeadTheTarget you have to account for its travel time]], and a wrongly placed barrier will cut off your teammates' movements instead. Properly aimed though, it is the only hindrance that can stop Pokemons under ''[[TheJuggernaut Unstoppable]]'' effects, or cut off escape routes for certain kills.
* DishingOutDirt:
** ''Rock Slide'' is an [=AOE=] move that stuns the opponent underneath the Area. This will be replaced by either ''Shell Smash'' or ''Rock Tomb'', a linear [=AOE=] move that makes a rocky barrier at the end of the area.
** ''Stealth Rock'', only available to replace ''Fury Cutter'', is an [=AOE=] move that deals a slowly increasing Damage over time to the opponent under the specified area.
* ShedArmorGainSpeed: Crustle can use ''Shell Smash'' to increase its own Attack and Sp. Atk at the cost of its Def and Sp. Def, therefore temporarily turning Crustle from a StoneWall to a MightyGlacier, not falling into FragileSpeedster unlike the usual examples since removing the armor does not decrease his still high Hit Points.
* StoneWall: In addition to having a High HP, Crustle is built to withstand damage with its Passive skill, which decreases damage as its HP lowers. Its damage output however, is rather lackluster compared to its fellow Defenders.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_slowbro_0.png]]
Originally hailing from the Kanto region, Slowbro is a Water/Psychic Pokémon that is well known for its slow uptake on situations. Despite having a ranged attack, it is surprisingly bulky and can survive in fights not by tanking but through crowd controls.

* DelayedReaction: Slowbro has a passive skill ''Oblivious'', which turns every damage into damage over time, making him die later than normal.
** PragmaticAdaptation: In the original game, Oblivious is a move where the user cannot be affected by Infatuation, Taunts and Intimidate. While this skill might have been mildly useful against a Wigglytuff if this is applied in this game, the current mechanic of this skill makes Slowbro more tanky and more usable in general situation
* MakingASplash: Slowbro, being part Water-Type, has access to three Water-type Moves:
** ''Water Gun'' is a move where Slowpoke shoots water. As soon as Slowpoke evolves to Slowbro, it will have access to:
*** ''Surf'', a Water move that creates three pulses of water which Slowbro rides. This can also push the opponent away
*** ''Scald'', a Water type move that mechanically works similarly to Water Gun but also Burns the opponents as well as slow them.
* PsychicPowers: Slowpoke has two Psychic powers in its set, one of which will replace its ''Slack Off'' move.
** ''Telekinesis'' is a Hindrance move that allows Slowpoke to use its psychic power to make its opponent float. If it uses it again, the affected Pokémon may be dragged to Slowpoke.
** ''[[StatusBuff Amnesia]]'' is a Recovery move that nullify damages before making Slowpoke immune to Hindrances as well
* YouWillNotEvadeMe: ''Telekinesis'' effectively immobilizes an enemy, or pulls them towards the user.
** LimitBreak: Its Unite Move, ''Slowbeam'', takes this further by putting up a protective shield to ensure Slowbro doesn't go down easy while holding its target down.

One of the starters of the Kanto Region, Blastoise is a bipedal Water-type Pokemon that resembles a turtle.

* BarrierWarrior: Blastoise has two skills that give him extra shield, making him viable in wearing Score Shield.
** Surf+ gives him a bonus shield when the initial wave hits any Pokemon.
** Its [[LimitBreak Unite Move]], ''Hydro Typhoon'', gives him a shield as well.
* CooldownManipulation: Blastoise's Boosted Attack lowers the cooldown of all of its moves, encouraging him to spam its basic attacks while all of its Moves are in cooldown.
* KungFuWizard: Using ''Rapid Spin'' turns all of its moves from from a ranged attack to melee attack. Even if it counts as melee, Rapid Spin and its other attacks draw power from its Special Attack stats, qualifying him this status
* MakingASplash: Blastoise, being a Water-type, have access to Four different Water-type moves
** ''Water Gun'' is a Water-type move where Squirtle shoots water from its mouth. This move can be replaced by ''Hydro Pump'' or ''Water Spout''
*** ''Hydro Pump'' is a Water-type move spews heavy volume of water to push its opponent up to the end of the attack, stunning the opponent who is pushed back the farthest as well.
*** ''Water Spout'' is a Water-type Hindrance move where Blastoise can slow down the opponent who is underneath the designated Area of Effect.
*** ''Surf'' is a Dash move where Blastoise makes a wave from its initial position to a certain radius, pushing everyone away to beyond that radius while damaging everyone within said radius. Only Blastoise has a Surf where it can move anywhere at the end of the move, making him able to act out while the enemy is still being hit by Surf.
** UseYourHead: One of Squirtle's initial moves is ''Skull Bash'', a Dash move where Squirtle quickly moves to one place, attacking anyone within the line using its head. This skill can be replaced by ''Rapid Spin'' or ''Surf''
*** SpinAttack: ''Rapid Spin'' is a Buff move that makes Blastoise continuously spin around in places to continuously damage anyone within its vicinity, making himself invulnerable to any Hindrances. While underneath the Rapid Spin, it is able to use ''Hydro Cannon'' and ''Water Spout'' as well. See StanceSystem below for more details.
** LimitBreak: Blastoise's Unite Move, ''Hydro Typhoon'', is a powerful Unite Move that deals damage within Blastoise's vicinity.
* ShellBackpack: Befitting a turtle and justified by the holowear concept, but notably zig-zagged, being in full effect for, eg, the fashionable outfit but averted for the firefighter one.
* StanceSystem: Blastoise's ''Rapid Spin'', momentarily changes how Blastoise play.
** Upon using the skill, Blastoise is now not only Invulnerable to any Hindrance for 8 seconds, it is continuously attacking anyone within the melee range. This attack can extend its reach just by spamming the Basic Attack button. Furthermore, under Rapid Spin, its other two moves changes its properties as well:
** Water Spout, instead of being a [=AOE=] that targets a certain Circular area, is now a channeling move that continuously attacks anyone surrounding Blastoise under Rapid Spin. However, to use this move properly, one must hold the R Button continuously.
** Hydro Pump, instead of being a Line move, is now an [=AOE=] that pushes anyone away from Blastoise. Unlike Water Spout, this is not a channeling move
%%Pretty sure this was unintentional, from what I can tell this was changed in the Sept. 21, 2021 patch -AS210

The larger icicle can be destroyed by using Tackle or High Horsepower, which freezes anyone in the vicinity as well as granting a small area that increases move speed.
*** ''Ice Fang'' is a move where Pilloswine hooks the target

* DarkIsNotEvil: A Dark-type Pokémon (or Evil-type in Japan) that merely seeks to help people in danger, but ended up getting blamed for the disasters they predicted. Even still, Absol mainly uses Dark type attacks:
** Feint, a Dash that has Absol dash in an curved line, piercing Defense and shields to deal damage. This upgrades to...
*** Night Slash, a Dash that has Absol dash in a curved line, damaging and slowing enemies hit. If an enemy was hit by the first dash, Absol can dash again in a straight line, damaging enemies and increasing Absol's critical hit rate. When upgraded, the second dash also heals Absol when used.
*** Pursuit, a Dash that has Absol dash in a straight line. For a few seconds afterward, Absol's next attack has them dash a short distance to their target, dealing increased damage and greatly reducing Pursuit's cooldown if it hits the target from behind. When upgraded, Pursuit also increases Absol's movement speed when used.
** Slash, a Melee attack that has Absol attack a short area in front of them, dealing damage and increasing Absol's critical hit rate. This upgrades to...

* TeleportSpam: ''Hex'' doubles as this and a CrissCrossAttack against status-inflicted enemies, as its greatly reduced cooldown allows Gengar to use it multiple times in rapid succession for massive damage. This was even more egregious prior to the August 4th balance patch, as Hex's high amount of invincibility frames made it difficult to damage him during the combo.

* BarrierWarrior: ''Light Screen'' is a move that can set up an impenetrable wall. When Mr. Mime levels enough, this move can turn into
** ''Barrier'', an improved, extremely spammable version of ''Light Screen''.
** If they wish, they can replace the barrier with ''Guard Swap'', which can damage and slow enemies or provide a speed boost to allies as well as swap their Def and Sp. Def.
* DifficultButAwesome: The main reason why Mr. Mime does not see any plays aside from outliers is because almost every skills Mr. Mime has are difficult to use as they not only need to be aimed almost completely manually, but they also need timing to work well, however, Mr. Mime not only have a lot of crowd control skills that only a few other characters have, most of them synergizes with each other in such a unique way that almost no other Pokemon in this game can equally replicate it.

* PsychicPowers: Mr. Mime has two Psychic powers that stem from its ''Fake Out'', a Normal-type move that deals damage and pushes its opponent away from it.
** ''Confusion'' is a ranged version of ''Fake Out''. However, if the pushed opponent hits any wall or obstruction, including ''Light Screens'' or ''Barriers'', or is affected by ''Guard Swap'', they become stunned.

* AdaptationalBadass:
** In the mainline games, ''Defense Curl'' is just a StatusBuff move that increases the user's defense; however, in this iteration, ''Defense Curl'' is a move that can attack the opponent and stun them if it connects.
** In the original game, Cute Charm is a Pokemon Ability that has a chance to [[StatusInflictionAttack inflict]] Attract to the Pokemon as long as the opposing Pokemon is the opposite gender to the Pokemon with the Cute Charm ability. Attract makes it so the afflicted Pokemon will have 50 percent chance of not using a move. This move has barely seen any competitive uses in the original game as the Ability itself is too luck-based and the Status Effect is luck-based as well. Furthermore, the only Pokemon who has this Ability happens to have better abilities. HOWEVER, in this game, Cute Charm works exactly as a [[IShallTauntYou taunt move]] where the opposing Pokemon will have a chance to be forced to momentarily move towards Wigglytuff. This is extremely useful as it not only synergizes a lot with Wigglytuff's moveset, Wigglytuff is also tough enough to take a few hits. Furthermore, allies frailer than Wigglytuff will be able to stay more in clashes as they won't be the immediate target of any Speedster Pokemon, and enemies who knows how to kite are now more wary to do so as they would not want to hit the Wigglytuff in question without repercussions Wigglytuff's allies.
* ArmorPiercingSlap: ''Pound'' is an [=AOE=] move that hits any opponent in front of Jigglypuff. This attack can be replaced by one of the two following attacks:
** ''Double Slap'' is a RandomizedDamageAttack that can hits any opponents in front of Wigglytuff for two to six times.
** ''[[LightEmUp Dazzling Gleam]]'' is an [=AOE=] move that allows Wigglytuff to deal damage twice in a row.
* HyperDestructiveBouncingBall: ''Defense Curl'', originally just a StatusBuff move, is a now a move where Jigglypuff rolls into a ball. At Lv 4, this move can be changed to Rollout or Sing:
** DishingOutDirt: ''Rollout'' is a Rock-type [=AOE=] move in which, after picking a direction, Wigglytuff [[HyperDestructiveBouncingBall rolls around almost uncontrollably, extending the range if the Rollout ricochets towards a wall.]]
** MagicMusic: ''Sing'' is a move that can force surrounding opponents to slow down. If they get affected enough, they are forced into sleep.
* IShallTauntYou: Wigglytuff's Passive Ability is ''Cute Charm'', which has a chance to force anyone who hits Wigglytuff to momentarily move toward Wigglytuff.
* KungFuWizard: Most, if not all, of Wigglytuff's move are melee range, yet all of Wigglytuff's moves, including her Basic Attack, rely on her Special Attack stats. Furthermore, Wigglytuff is the only Special Attacker which damaging skills have a chance to deal CriticalHit, a feature only a few Physical Attackers have. This makes Scope Lens a mildly viable build for Wigglytuff as well.
* LimitBreak: Wigglytuff's Unite Move is ''Starlight Recital'', which grants Wigglytuff and any allies surrounding it increased movement speed as well as invulnerability from Hindrances for a short period of time. It also grants a bonus Shield which can also stack with the Buddy Barrier item.

** ''Astonish'' is a Ghost-type move that deals damage to one enemy as well as stun them. At Lv 6, this move can be replaced by either ''Phantom Force'' or ''Shadow Ball''
*** ''Phantom Force'' is a Ghost-type move that teleports Hoopa to his targeted enemy, throwing a projectile that deals damage as well decreasing their move speed. In addition, Hoopa can re-use this move to teleport back from where he originally used this move.
*** ''Shadow Ball'' is a Ghost-type move where Hoopa hurls a projectile that lowers enemy Sp.Def. In addition, where he needs a Held Item called Prison Bottle in the mainline series, Hoopa in Unite just needs to be Level 9 to have access to his Unbound form.
* PsychicPowers: Being part-Psychic type, he has access to a few Psychic moves as well.
** ''Confusion'' is a Psychic-type move unleash a psychic blast that lingers on an afflicted enemy, then explodes , which slows the enemy. At lv 4, this move can be replaced by either ''Trick'' or ''Hyperspace Hole''
*** ''Trick'' is a Psychic-type move where Hoopa links himself to an ally or himself as well, giving them both a movespeed buff and a shield for a short time. In addition, when Hoopa uses Shadow Ball or performs an autoattack, the ring on the ally will perform the same attack.
*** ThinkingUpPortals: ''Hyperspace Hole'' is a Psychic-type move where Hoopa creates a tremendous ring at the target location. After a set amount of time, the hole explodes, and any allies inside (as well as Hoopa itself) are teleported back to base and given a movement speed buff. Healing from the base is delayed when warping back using Hyperspace Hole. Targets teleported by the hole can click the right stick to teleport to the location Hyperspace Hole was initially cast. If the hole is placed directly on an allied goal zone, it will become a gateway between lanes, allowing ALL ALLIES AND HOOPA to freely travel between lanes. There is a cooldown between each ally's travel, and they are given a movement speed buff when they leave the portal.

Machamp is a Fighting-type Pokémon who hails from the Kanto region, with the Pokémon being known for its strong fighting prowess and immense physical strength.

* CriticalHit:
* ''Cross Chop'' has been more used for its utility and its increased critical hit rate.
* While Submission does not have an increased Crit rate itself, it does improve the crit rate of its next move. This makes Cross Chop + Submission a preferred choice with Scope Lens + Razor Claw held items
* TheJuggernaut: Has four sources of Unstoppable to negate enemy crowd control: ''Bulk Up'' and its upgrades, ''Submission'' and ''Dynamic Punch'', and ''Close Combat''. Particularly fitting is ''Submission'', which lets Machamp dash across the arena shrugging off any attempts to stop it.
* LightningBruiser: Not only is Machamp strong enough to win a 1v1 fight, it can also make itself fast enough to initiate one.
* RapidFireFisticuffs: ''Close Combat'' and its unite move ''Barrage Blow'' strikes their target with a massive flurry of punches before ending with one last powerful punch.
* StatusBuff: Can cast ''Bulk Up'' to itself to make itself immune to Hindrances.

!!Charizard (リザードン, ''Lizardon'')
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_charizard_5.png]]
One of the most popular Pokémon of all and somewhat of a secondary mascot in the series, Charizard is a Fire/Flying-type starter first introduced in the Kanto region.

* ArmorPiercingAttack: The additional tick from Charizard's Basic Attack when his enemies gets burned ignores Defense.
* CriticalStatusBuff: In almost every sense of the word "critical", as ''Blaze'' increases Charizard's Critical Hit rate when they're low on health.
* DamageOverTime: Focuses around doing this with ''Burn'', especially with their basic attack gaining an additional tick against burning enemies.
* LimitBreak: ''Seismic Slam''. Charizard grabs an enemy Pokemon and slams them hard into the ground. Afterwards, Charizard takes to the skies, becoming unimpeded by obstacles, and upgrading their basic attacks to burn enemies and heal Charizard.
* MightyGlacier: Charizard's HP expectedly large for a Melee Pokemon, and its attacks are mostly based on dealing damage rather than crowd control.
* PlayingWithFire: As expected from one of Pokémon's most famous Fire types.
** ''Flame Burst'' is a fireball that damages and burns enemies. It can be upgraded to:
*** ''Flamethrower'': A stronger version of ''Flame Burst''.
*** ''Fire Punch'': A charge attack that burns the target.
** ''Fire Spin'' Creates a fiery whirlwind that damages and slows enemies down. Upgrades to:
*** ''Fire Blast'' A stronger version of ''Fire Spin''.
*** ''Flame Charge'': A charge attack that launches enemies hit by it, granting Charizard a shield.
* SimpleYetAwesome: Charizard's basic attack does not have a Boosted Attack to compensate for his Basic Attack being a multi-hit. His moveset revolves around improving his basic attack by burning them and Damage over Time with Crowd Control, and evolving Charizard increases the range of his Basic attack, which initially starts at Melee range. In conclusion, all Charizard really has to worry about is his positioning and when to use his skills to keep stacking the Burn status effect which improves the strength of his Basic Attacks, and his crowd control.

[[folder:Lucario]]
!!Lucario (ルカリオ, ''Lucario'')
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_lucario.png]]
Lucario is a Steel/Fighting type Pokémon who hails from the Sinnoh region.

* BadWithTheBone: Lucario's boosted attack and ''Bone Rush'' both utilize a long StockFemurBone as a weapon.
* CooldownManipulation: Has a variety of ways to reduce the cooldown of its abilities:
** ''Extreme Speed'' doesn't go on cooldown if Lucario hits a target that wasn't recently hit with the ability.
** ''Bone Rush +'' resets the cooldown of Lucario's other basic ability if it chooses to dash to the bone.
** ''Bone Rush'' reduces the cooldown of ''Power-Up Punch'' and (despite [[GuideDangIt not saying anything about it in the move's description]]) reduces the time until enemies are no longer considered "recently hit" by ''Extreme Speed'' when the initial strikes deal damage to a target. Combined with ''Bone Rush +'' completely resetting the other ability's cooldown when dashing to the bone, this allows Lucario to triple their usage of ''Power-Up Punch'' or ''Extreme Speed''.
* DifficultButAwesome: Classified as an Expert-difficulty character, and the finesse requirement is especially exemplified with ''Extreme Speed'' and ''Bone Rush''. Recklessly flailing around with ''Extreme Speed'' isn't going to do Lucario favors with its middling power, as its cooldown reset doesn't occur on a repeat target. ''Bone Rush'', while has range, is on a slightly longer cooldown than ''Close Combat'' and has a secondary attack that requires quick thinking whether you want to jump to the bone or not, but can reset the cooldown on ''Extreme Speed'' or ''Power-Up Punch'' when upgraded. A good trainer knows how these moves behave, but a great trainer can utilize the CooldownManipulation well to make Lucario zip around like crazy and escape with hardly a scratch.
* ExtraOreDinary: Downplayed. Starts out with ''Meteor Mash'', but that's the only Steel-type move Lucario knows, and it'll get replaced in due time.
* FlashStep:
** Starts with ''Quick Attack'', which is a simple dash that damages enemies Lucario passes through, and can upgrade into...
*** ''Extreme Speed'', which is similar to ''Quick Attack'', but can be used again and again as long as Lucario can keep finding new targets to dash to.
*** ''Power-Up Punch'', which has Lucario charge up to deal a single powerful punch at the end of the dash, reducing the damage they take as they do so.
* LightningBruiser: Lucario is not only just as fast as it is bulky, it's also threatening even in early games, which makes him very flexible in choosing a lane.
* RapidFireFisticuffs:
** ''Meteor Mash'', a single powerful punch that knocks back the target, can upgrade into...
*** ''Close Combat'', which is this type of move.
*** Meanwhile, ''Bone Rush'', which is similar to ''Close Combat'' but stuns and throws a bone Lucario can dash to, is closer to BladeSpam due to Lucario's [[BadWithTheBone choice of weapon]].

[[folder:Garchomp ''[-(Gaburias)-]'']]
!!Garchomp (ガブリアス, ''Gaburias'')
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_garchomp.png]]
Hailing from region of Sinnoh, Garchomp is a "pseudo-legendary" Ground/Dragon-type Pokémon.

* DishingOutDirt: Garchomp, being a part-Ground type, has access to four Ground-type moves.
** SandBlaster: ''Sand Attack'' is a Hindrance move that Blinds opponents in the Area of effect, making them [[InterfaceScrew unable to see all the Pokemon within the vicinity]]. At a certain level, Sand Attack can be replaced by Dig or Dragon Rush.
*** ''Dig'' is a move where Garchomp closes the gap by digging under, then appearing, at the end of the move, striking whoever is within the vicinity of the move.
** ''Bulldoze'' is an [=AOE=] attack move that hits anything within a specific radius from Garchomp. At a certain level, Bulldoze can be replaced by Earthquake or Dragon Claw.
*** ''Earthquake'' is a powered-up version of bulldoze where Garchomp jumps to create a tremor that damage anyone within Garchomp's radius.
* GatheringSteam: Garchomp is mildly different from the rest of the cast for having a Basic attack becoming and maintaining Boosted for as long as two seconds as long as it has done 4 basic attack and 1 boosted attack. As long as it maintains the boosted attack for two seconds, it gains more movespeed and damage, making him efficient at clearing objectives in a short time.
* MagikarpPower: Downplayed. While Gible has only two mediocre moves, one of which is barely functional, he only needs to use them to quickly stack his basic attack to become a boosted attack, which makes him mildly functional on the lane.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Garchomp's basic attack is different from the other Pokémon in which he has to "gain and maintain momentum during combat". This boosts Garchomp's basic attack speed which allows him to outdamage an opponent in a direct-contact duel but can only be activated by the prerequisite of hitting a Pokémon five times with basic attacks. Also, the stat boost is temporary but can remain active for as long as Garchomp has a Pokémon in range to hit with basic attacks.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Garchomp, being a part-Dragon type, has access to two Dragon-type Moves
** ''Dragon Claw'' is a Dragon-type attack move where Garchomp lunges forward twice. The first hit pushes his opponent, the second hit is a boosted attack.
** ''Dragon Rush'' is a Dragon-type move where Garchomp jumps then dives toward his target, damaging and pushing them towards the end of the linear [=AOE=].
* TheSpiny: Garchomp has a passive ability, Rough Skin, that reflects 35% of the damage he takes from the opponents back to them. Since this move has no cooldown, it gets particularly nasty with Pokemon with continuous moves like Blastoise's ''Rapid Spin'' or Crustle's ''Stealth Rock''.

!!Tsareena (アマージョ, ''Amajo'')
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_tsareena.png]]
Tsareena is a Grass-type Pokemon who originally hails from the Alolan region.

* ActionGirl: All Tsareenas are female and all of her kits are geared towards offensive uses.
* DifficultButAwesome: Tsareena can almost certainly win a clash where she or her team might be outnumbered but when she starts a combo, she needs to continue the combo or die trying because, while she can definitely initiate a fight, it's easy to control her with either crowd controls or distanced fighting so she will not have an opportunity to continue the combo or even get out of the fight. For these reasons, Mr. Mime and Wigglytuff can hard-counter her.

* KickChick: Most of her moves, including her basic attacks, [[LimitBreak Unite move]], and even her scoring animation revolve around kicking.
** ''Stomp'' is a Normal-type move where Tsareena jumps up the air then stomps her opponent, which damage and stuns them.
** AnIcePerson: Has access to ''Triple Axel'', an Ice-type move where she kicks the target three times, the power of each attack increasing per hit.
* GreenThumb: As a Grass-type Pokemon, she has access to three Grass-type moves.
** ''Razor Leaf'' is a Grass-type move where she throws a linear barrage of leaves which damages anyone within the vicinity. At Level 6, this move can be replaced by the following moves listed below:
*** ''Trop Kick'' is a Grass-type move where Tsareena kicks in a linear direction, reducing the Attack stats and movement speed of anyone within the vicinity.
*** ''Grassy Glide'' is a Grass-type move where Tsareena slides in a linear direction, slowing anyone within the line as well as pushing back the opponent.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Tsareena's main gimmick is her Queenly Majesty ability, which gives her a gauge with three bars. Filling the bar by either using her abilities or hitting with her boosted attacks will give her a Queenly Majesty status. Under this status, not only will the cooldown of both skills reset, all of the secondary abilities of her skills will activate.
** BarrierWarrior: Under Queenly Majesty, either Grassy Glide or Trop Kick will give her a shield.
** HealingFactor: Under Queenly Majesty, either Stomp or Triple Axel will heal her.
* SkillGateCharacter: Tsareena can do extremely well on lower ranked fights since most players favor Attackers and Speedsters more than Defenders or Supporters. On higher ranks, while it still does takes effort, it's still manageable to fight against Tsareena as long as you ally yourself with one Pokemon who has a decent crowd control skill since she's frail when she's not under the Queenly Majesty buff.
* SpinAttack: Has access to Rapid Spin, a dash move with a wide area which can be replaced by Stomp or Triple Axel

[[folder:Dragonite ''[-(Kairyu)-]'']]
!!Dragonite (カイリュー, ''Kairyu'')
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_dragonite.png]]
Dragonite is an orange Dragon/Flying-type Pokémon that was first introduced in the Kanto region as the series' first "pseudo-legendary".

* FireIceLightning: Variation. It's Fire, Water, Lightning.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: Dragonite is the only Pokemon with multiple Boosted Attacks, switching between them each time it's used. All of them reduces the cooldown of their abilities, and each one has an additional effect.
** Dratini has access to a Water-type boosted attack that heals itself.
** Dragonair has access to both the Water-type boosted attack and an Electric-type boosted attack that stuns the target.
** Dragonite has access to the both Water-type boosted attack, the Electric-type boosted attack, and now has access to the Fire-type boosted attack, a PercentDamageAttack.
* NonElemental: Dragonite has access to two Normal-type moves:
** SuperSpeed: ''Extreme Speed'' is a Normal-type move where Dragonite dashes towards an area, slowing down anyone who gets hit by the move. While Dragon Dance is usually a better pick, it has its niche of resetting Multiscale cooldown.
** KamehameHadoken: ''Hyper Beam'' is a Normal-type move where, after a slight wind-up, Dragonite sends out a powerful laser towards a target. If Dragonite used ''Dragon Dance'', the attack's base power is increased and it deals additional damage based on [[PercentDamageAttack the target's max HP]].
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Dragonite has access to four Dragon-type moves:
** TornadoMove: ''Twister'' is a ranged Dragon-type attack that throws a large tornado on a linear but wide area, damaging and slowing any enemies within its vicinity. At Level 5, this move can be replaced into either "Dragon Dance" or "Extreme Speed"
** BreathWeapon: ''Dragon Breath'' is a Dragon-type move where Dragonite casts a flame in the area, damaging anyone within said area as well as slowing them down.
** StanceSystem: ''Outrage'' is a Dragon-type Melee move where Dragonite shifts from being a ranged attacker to a melee attacker, as well as turning all of his basic attacks to boosted attack. Because his attacks are boosted attacks, the elements will now quickly rotate instead of requiring to attack three times before it changes element
** MagicDance: ''Dragon Dance'' is a Dragon-type Buff move that improves the attack speed of Dragonite as well increases his Attack stats as well. This move not only stacks three times, it also improves the damage of Hyper Beam.
** LimitBreak: His Unite Move, Draco Impact, allows him to attack an area within roughly 1/4 the width of the Remoat Stadium. Because the movement speed of most Pokemon in this game is very slow, this is a big deal as not only can you snipe a Zapdos from outside the central area, you can also quickly score at the opponent's area with almost no obstacle.
* PragmaticAdaptation: Dragonite is well known in the mainline competitive scene for being one of the only two Pokemon having access to an ability called Multiscale, the only other Pokemon being Lugia. This ability, in the original game, drops any attacks done to Dragonite by 50% as long as Dragonite has 100% of his health. In this game, Dragonite can trigger it regardless of health but only reduces damage by 20% and the ability has a cooldown.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unite_aegislash.png]]
Aegislash is a Steel/Ghost type Pokémon who hails from the Kalos region. With his signature ability, Stance Change, Aegislash is either a powerful FragileSpeedster or a tanky Stone Wall.

* CastingAShadow: Being part-Ghost, Aegislash has access to two moves Ghost-type moves.
** ''Shadow Sneak'' casts a shadow near Honedge's vicinity, teleporting towards anyone within the vicinity. At Level 5, this move can be replaced by either ''Sacred Sword'' or ''Shadow Claw''.
*** ''Shadow Claw'' makes Doubledge/Aegislash slash three times, the third hit launching up his target upwards.
*** CharlesAtlasSuperpower: Has access to Sacred Sword, a Fighting-type offensive move that cuts a triangular AOE in front of Aegislash.
* DifficultButAwesome:
** MechanicallyUnusualFighter: In addition to his StanceSystem, Aegislash's Boosted attack relies on a boost counter (max: 4) which is replenished by using his skills.
** StanceSystem: How his [[SignatureMove Signature Ability]] works. Everytime he uses an offensive move (see CastingAShadow), he shifts into [[FragileSpeedster Blade Stance]], which increases his Attack, Attack Speed and Movement Speed. In contrast, everytime he uses a defensive move (see ExtraOreDinary), he shifts into his [[StoneWall Shield Stance]], which increases his Defense and Special Defense.
* ExtraOreDinary: As part-steel, two of his defensive moveset are Steel-type.
** BlockingStopsAllDamage: ''Iron Defense'' grants Honedge/Doubledge a shield, which disappears either after 1 second or after receiving damage. At Level 7, this move can be replaced by ''Iron Head'' or ''Wide Guard''
*** ShieldBash:''Iron Head'' allows Aegislash to shove himself forward, dealing damage as well as granting him a shield that deflects all incoming damage.
*** DishingOutDirt ''Wide Guard'' holds Aegislash in place while shoving anyone in front of Aegislash twice for the duration of the move.
** LimitBreak: His Unite Move, Coup-De-Grace, hits anyone within a linear AOE, dealing more damage the lower the targets' respective HP. Unfortunately, this has a damage cap of 1200 when used against wild Pokemon.
* GlassCannon: Before gaining his Signature Ability, Honedge and Doubledge has the No Guard skill, which increases both the damage he takes as well as the damage he deals.

* CriticalHit: ''Huge Power'' is an Ability that ensures Azumarill will always land critical hits as long as he is hitting EXACTLY ONE Pokemon with his basic/boosted attacks or moves. On the inverse, if the move hits more than one enemy, the hit will NEVER crit.
* MakingASplash: Being part Water-type, Azumarill has access to four Water-type moves:
** ''Bubble'' is a Water type move where Marill can blow bubbles while moving, each bubbles dealing damage. At Level 7, this move can be replaced by either ''Whirlpool'' or ''Aqua Tail''
** ''Whirlpool'' is a Water-type move where Azumarill summons four tornado-shaped water surrounding him. If the summoned Whirlpool hits an opponent, not only does it damage the opponent, it will also heal Azumarill as well.
** ''Aqua Tail'' is a Water-type move that increases the speed and area of effect of Azumarill's basic attack. If the move hits the opponent from a distant, it will hit harder as well as heal Azumarill.
** ''Water Pulse'' is a Water type move where Azumarill can shoot a jet in front of him, dealing damage, as well as decreasing movement speed. In addition, this move can bounce to the nearest opponent available, repeating the same effects up to three times.
* LimitBreak: ''Belly Bash'' is Azumarill's Unite move where Azumarill slams his belly three times to shield himself as well as increasing his attack in exchange for his HP, before dashing towards his opponent and dealing damage to them as well as throwing them.
* NonElemental
** ''Tackle'' is a Normal-type move where Marill dashes through the opponent, damaging as well as stunning them. At Lv 5, this move can be replaced by either ''Water Pulse'' or ''Play Rough''.
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: Downplayed - being part Fairy-type, Azumarill has access to one Fairy Move: ''Play Rough'', which is is a Fairy-type move where Azumarill will increase his attack speed as well as changing his basic attack into a grab.
** NotTheIntendedUse: ''Play Rough'' is practically very weak when the move is used to attack the opponent as the stun is not enough to slow down the target nor are each hits powerful enough to finish off the opponent, but where Play Rough shine is its additional speed boost that lasts for 4 seconds.
*** If this is used in conjunction with Whirlpool, you may maximize the Whirlpool's damage by rotating at a target clockwise, consistently hitting the Whirlpool's active hitbox.
*** This speed boost also stays even if you cancel ''Play Rough'' into ''Aqua Tail''

* MageMarksman: Glaceon is notably the only ranged Sp. Attack Pokemon that can actually deal critical damage on both her Basic Attack and one of her skills (Icy Wind). It also seems like her base stats supports this as she not only also gains an initial Critical Hit Rate starting at Level 5, but also has her Basic Attack be entirely based on her Basic Attack, only other Pokemon possessing the same stats being Wigglytuff and Blissey, but this is more relevant to Glaceon as she also gains Spell Vamp as well, which means both her Basic Attack and her skills can heal her, making her Spell Vamp an equivalent to Life Steal on normal Atk-based Pokemons. With all this stats in mind, she still maintains to have Cooldown Reduction like any other SpA-based Pokemon, making her able to spam skills earlier than most other marksman-type Pokemon

*** Sucker Punch, a Hindrance attack that has Absol charge up before attacking, moving to the other side of the opponent before damaging and slowing them. If Absol hits the target from behind, they are also stunned for a moment ([[GuideDangIt a feature not in the move's description]]). If Absol is attacked during the charging period, [[CounterAttack Absol will interrupt the charge and immediately attack the target]]. When upgraded, Absol's attack speed is increased for a short time after unleashing Sucker Punch.
