* CuteMonsterGirl: This line, which strangely have a higher chance of being male than female, similarly to starters. This may be in reference to Primarina, another feminine-looking Pokemon that is usually male.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Due to the heavily skewed gender ratio of this Pokemon line, expect the male ones to look no different than their female counterparts and encounter more of the former than the latter.

* BossBattle: Darude's main Pokemon is Potarded.

* ArmorPiercingAttack: It has access to Marshadow's SecretArt, Spectral Theif, which is capable of stealing stat boosts on the target ''before'' attacking, making Defense boosts worthless against it.

* ImpossibleTheft: It can learn Spectral Theif, a move that steals the stat boosts of the target Pokémon before attacking, via level-up.
