* VicariousGoldDigger: He makes it no secret that he would prefer his daughter Mandie marry the Boudacian nobleman Brutis over the middle-class Earth superhero Danny.

* BadassOnPaper: He's an accomplished general with a rich military background but in actual practice he has proven to be largely useless in real combat with Danny, Mandie, and even Fufu being able to easily beat him without breaking a sweat. Mandie has claimed that he's nothing but a DirtyCoward GloryHound MilesGloriosus who'd boast when he was sure he could beat someone but would find an easy way out or steal credit from someone else's victory.

* DarwinistDesire: Part of the reason why he's obsessed with marrying Mandie is that, as far as he's concerned, her beauty, strength, and royal lineage will help him sire the most beautiful, intelligent, and strong children in all of Boudacia that are as perfect as him because they're the best Boudacians of all.

** Also for the HopelessSuitor. Even without meeting Danny, Brutis still wouldn't have had a chance with Mandie because of his horrible personality. Even after she makes it very clear she doesn't like him, he refuses to respect her wishes and attempts any other means to get her to marry him.

* DarkIsEvil: Wears black armor and is a vicious, conceited bastard obsessed with conquering worlds.

** Vlad and his supporters turn on him for his cowardice and losing to Danny then Vlad tortures him with nanites just for laughs like how he did to Danny and Mandie's parents.

* NiceJobFixingItVillain: When Danny challenges him to a one-on-one fight for Boudacia's thrones he cheats by trying to use Vlad's nanomachines which only results in him being disqualified for violating the rules and his followers turning their backs on him after realizing he's nothing but a weak, honorless DirtyCoward that's unfit to be king.

** He cheats in his duel against Danny for Boudacia by trying to use Vlad's nanites which gets him disqualified for breaking the rules and causes his followers to turn against him out of disgust for his cowardice and lack of honor.

** Mandie is very vocal of her opinion that a blockhead like him would make a terrible king and Maurus is forced to agree with her assessment after Brutis reveals how much of a selfish, treacherous bastard he is when he betrays the royal family to take over Boudacia to satisfy his ambitions and out of a petty refusal to accept that Mandie prefers Danny over himself.
** His followers also realize this when he cheats in his duel against Danny for Boudacia by trying to activate Vlad's nanites so they turn against Brutis because they'd never follow such a weak, dishonorable DirtyCoward.

* BreakTheHaughty: She has a big one when Brutis reveals he still plans on marrying Mandie and was just using Dieana to help him become king then knocks her out and returns her to the servants quarters then when she crashes the wedding he's forcing Mandie into he makes it clear she's not pretty enough for him and he has the guards take her away.

* EvilCounterpart: She's this to Danny of all people. They both come from common backgrounds and pursue a romantic relationship with a Boudacian noble, but they couldn't be more different. Danny didn't like Mandie until she started showing redeeming qualities, doesn't take any crap from her and is willing to stand up to her, and has a much healthier relationship with his partner since he helps bring out her better nature. Dieana however, has always been attracted to Brutis for his looks and bad boy attitude but lets him walk all over her and is unaware he's only using her. She willingly helps him with his schemes to get rid of Danny in order to win Brutis' affections and get back at Mandie for being the object of his interest.

* HiddenDisdainReveal: Dieana shows she hates Mandie for being the object of Brutis' desire and for constantly rejecting him.

* ItMustBeMine!: As far as she's concerned, she's the only one meant for Brutis.
* {{Jerkass}}: She's pretty rude and arrogant underneath her meek servant girl demeanor.
* JerkassHasAPoint: She's only saying it out of jealousy but she is right that Brutis should just give up on marrying Mandie since he doesn't have a chance with her because she obviously can't stand him.

* JerkassHasAPoint: She is right that Mandie can be a brat.

* NiceJobFixingItVillain: [[spoiler:She crashes Brutis' forced wedding to Mandie, providing a distraction that lets Mandie pull out a knife she was hiding in her bouquet.]]
* NoAccountingForTaste: She's in love with Brutis of all people. Mandie and Danny wonder what makes her so interested in a sexist creep like Brutis who is clearly obsessed with Mandie.
* NonActionGuy: GenderInverted. Despite being a Boudacian, she is never shown fighting or training. Justified given her role as a servant rather than a warrior.

* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: She's pretty racist since she looks down on Mandie for being hybrid and Danny for being some kind of Earth mutant.
* RightForTheWrongReasons: While she's only saying it out of jealousy, she is correct that Brutis is wasting his time chasing after Mandie since she made it crystal clear that she doesn't want anything to do with him because she completely hates his guts.

* StupidEvil: She betrays the royal family in some vain attempt to win Brutis' love despite him making it clear he only wants to marry Mandie.

* UnderestimatingBadassery: She's unimpressed with Danny upon meeting him for the first time when Brutis is keeping him prisoner in the dungeon as she wonders why Mandie would choose "a gloarksmen pup" like the ghost boy over a man like Brutis.

* VillainousBreakdown: She has an epic one when Brutis admits he's still going to marry Mandie and was just using Dieana to help him become the ruler of Boudacia then knocks her out and takes her to the servants quarters then when she crashes the wedding he's forcing Mandie into he makes it clear she's not beautiful enough for him and he has his guards take her away.

* LaserGuidedKarma: His obsession with fighting Mandie and Danny earns him nothing but a brutal beatdown from both.

* ShippedOnDeck: She's very pleased that Mandie has started dated Danny since considers him an improvement over Brutis.

* WomenPreferStrong Men: She fell in love with Maurus in their ArrangedMarriage after he defeated her in their first sparring match during their honeymoon as newlyweds.

* ParentsSuckAtMatchmaking: He thinks Brutis will be a good match for his daughter Mandie in an ArrangedMarriage because of his military background and noble house despite knowing she utterly despises him for being an obnoxious AbhorrentAdmirer who only sees her as a trophy and meal ticket since, as far as Maurus is concerned, Brutis' good traits outweigh the bad ones. It's not until Brutis betrays the royal family that Maurus realizes that Mandie was right to reject and hate him.

* PostSupportRegret: After Brutis's betrayal he's come to regret ever favoring the arrogant noble because his enabling of Brutis' worst qualities only led to his treason and created a narcissistic monster that would threaten all of Boudacia.

* SoreLoser: Mandie lists this as a serious problem her father has. In one instance, he destroyed their old game room in a violent rampage after Milee defeated him a dozen times in a row in 12th dimensional chess.
** He throws a very loud and very destructive tamper tantrum when Milee decides to give Danny a chance as Mandie's suitor and honor her request not to invade Earth.

* TheyJustDontGetIt: Milee frequently tries to explain to him why pairing Mandie with Brutis is a terrible idea since she hates Brutis to the point she'd rather kill him than associate with him, but Maurus still stubbornly believes he can convince their daughter to change her mind and give Brutis a chance, no matter how impossible it seems to accomplish.

* TeethClenchedTeamwork: [[spoiler:He is not happy about teaming up with Danny to escape from their prison but realizes it's necessary to save his family and stop Brutis.]]
* TheSocialDarwinist: He believes Boudacia is destined to conquer the universe because of their military might and wants Mandie to have a strong mate who can provide powerful children.
* TooDesperateToBePicky: Maurus admits he'd find Mandie a warrior from his own world to marry if he still had access to it but goes with Brutis because he's the finest male warrior they have to offer.

* AintTooProudToBeg: He shamelessly tries to persuade Vlad and Sam to fight Danny on his behalf when the ghost boy challenges him during the rebellion against Brutis' coup but they refuse since it's his fight and they don't do his bidding for him.

* AttentionWhore: He's obsessed with showing off and obtaining glory to improve his standing with the royal family. He does not take being humiliated well, not that it stops from Mandie and Danny from doing it frequently when they beat him up in a fight.

* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: He goes from a respected noble and decorated general to a disgraced coward and wanted fugitive after his coup against the royal family fails and all his followers abandon him.

** Brutis accuses Danny of being a weakling who only acts powerful. The hypocrisy completely flies over Brutis' empty head despite losing every single challenge he issues to Danny and Mandie.

*** Preaches about wanting to restore tradition and strength to Boudacia, yet as noted above, resorts to cowardly and underhanded tactics to win like trying to get someone to fight Danny for him and using nanobots to incapacitate Danny, Milee, and Maurus, breaking the rules of his and Danny's fight. Even his followers are disgusted by his blatant cowardice and turn against him.

** He claims he wants to restore Boudacia's glory but is fine with destroying it if it's people refuse to bow to him, showing he never cared about his home planet as anything but a tool for his obsession with conquering the universe.

* ItsAllAboutMe: At the end of the day, he's a selfish bastard who only cares about himself and constantly demands respect no matter what.
** Power is all that matters to him since he'd rather destroy it than let someone else rule it.

* KnightOfCerebus: While a pompous buffoon, he eventually establishes himself as a MUCH worse person than any of the Boudacians or Danny's rogues gallery by staging a coup and threatening the lives of Mandie's loved ones to force her into marriage then having his droids destroy Boudacia just so he can rule over what's left of it.

* MoralMyopia: He believes strength and victory are all that matters, but in practice, it's only if he's the one winning since he turns into a massive SoreLoser when Danny beats him.
** As far as Brutis is concerned, it's ok for him to cheat in a fight but when Danny is beating him he accuses him of cheating and deems it unforgivable.
* MoreDespicableMinion: He serves the king and queen of Boudacia but lacks anything resembling a redeeming quality when the royal family, for all their faults, genuinely love each other and have their kingdom's best interests in mind while Brutis couldn't care less about anyone but himself.

* OmnicidalManiac: He'd rather destroy the universe if it won't bow to him and he starts with Boudacia after his coup fails by ordering his droids to destroy Boudacia and everyone on it but himself, his loyalists, and Mandie just so he can rule what's left.

* LateToTheRealization: [[spoiler:It's not until Brutis betrays him by knocking Shim out and locking him up in the dungeon that Maurus realizes his family was right to hate him and Mandie was correct all along that Brutis would make a horrible husband and king.]]

* HeManWomanHater: He's a sexist prick who gets on Mandie's nerves to no end since he makes it clear he only regards her as a prize he's entitled to and an incubator for his future offspring, he's also fine with forcing her into an ArrangedMarriage despite knowing she utterly hates him. He also treats his fangirls as annoyances at best.

** He's too much of an egomaniac and SoreLoser to admit that Danny is stronger than him so he stubbornly insists that the ghost boy only defeated him by cheating but Brutis himself is a cheater who shamelessly resorts to underhanded and cowardly methods to win like trying to kill Danny with the nanites blood put in his bloodstream or fruitlessly trying to convince Sam to fight on his behalf instead of facing Danny himself when he's challenged to single combat by the ghost boy.

* AmbitiousButLazy: He wants Mandie to have a strong, worthy mate but is too impatient to search for one powerful enough to beat--or is at least compatible with--her, so he'd rather marry her off to her most irritating AbhorrentAdmirer Brutis because he's from a prestigious family and has a good reputation as a warrior, regardless of how incapable he is at beating Mandie in a fight or how much of an obvious {{Jerkass}} DumbJock he is.

* DumbJock: Is an even bigger and more obnoxious brainless meathead than Dash Baxter.
* DumbMuscle: He is basically an alien version of Dash, only even dumber and more annoying.
