* IDidWhatIHadToDo: To save Class 1-A from Zaraba after he nearly devoured Izumi's soul, Kudo briefly takes over Izumi's body, and uses "Gearshift" to force Zaraba's heart into reverse, killing Flect Turn's body before he could find another host, leaving Zaraba to die with it. Izumi however is traumatized over [[TheseHandsHaveKilled her body killing Zaraba]], seeing what Kudo did as a personal betrayal after he had been like a mentor to her, and not wanting to see him as a result. While Kudo is willing to give her space after that, he won't apologize for doing it, as Zaraba ''needed'' to die, and Izumi has yet to [[GainingTheWillToKill she will have to kill at some point]].

* AwesomeButDifficult: "Glyphs" is an extremely versatile Quirk due to it's multiple uses, but one that takes a lot of thought and practice towards using. For someone like All For One, who views PowersAsPrograms and prefers QuantityOverQuality, this made it a poor choice for him, so he kept "Glyphs" locked away before eventually giving it to Nine.

* AdaptationalSuperpowerChange: In canon, "One For All" carried with it the vestiges of the previous users due to it merging with their Quirk Factors, which carried imprints of the mind and personalities of whoever the Quirk originally belonged to, Izuku just being able to interact with them due to the unique nature of "One For All". Here, the Quirk explicitly contains the ''souls'' of those that wielded it, their souls having joined it upon their deaths, meaning Izumi is effectively speaking to the dead whenever she talks to them. * DareToBeBadass: Chiharu had no intention of doing well in the Sports Festival, only participating due to not realizing the Business Course didn't have to, and only going to the third round due to partnering with Izumi, Ochaco, and Mei for the Cavalry Battle since she didn't know anyone else. After managing to make it to the second set of matches in the third round however, she ends up getting a couple internship offers and, per the requirements of the Sports Festival, the offer to dual major in the Hero Course. While she initially had no desire to be a Hero, she ultimately decides to try it out and see if it fits her, becoming the "Detonating Hero: Sweeper".
* FanCreatedOffspring: There's no indication in canon that Curious had any children, let alone was married before her death. Chiharu meanwhile is an OriginalCharacter for the fic and is conceptualized as Chitose's daughter.
* FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse: By all accounts, Chiharu has every right to resent Chitose and doubt her intentions when she tries to reconnect with her, as she had abandoned her in an abusive care home and continued to ignore her for years. However, Chiharu is still attempting to go into an extremely dangerous job without consulting Chitose, as well as ignoring her calls after Chiharu was in the middle of a dangerous villain attack, calls that came from a place of extreme concern given that her father died in a similar attack. As Katsuki points out, there is no excuse for this, especially since Chitose has shown legitimate love for Chiharu numerous times in the past and present and regrets abandoning her. Katsuki calling her out was enough for Chiharu to pull a HeelRealization and give her mother another chance, even if she is still keeping her at arm's length.
* HeelRealization: Following Katsuki [[WhatTheHellHero reading her the riot act]] over not telling Chitose about her decision to be a Hero, Chiharu ends up doing some self-reflection, realizing her decision to try being a Hero was partly motivated by spite at Chitose, which isn't exactly a good reason for being a Hero, and that she had ended up repressing the memories of Chitose actually ''expressing'' love for her, as well as how much Chitose had actually been affected by Akito's death and the thought of losing Chiharu too. This prompts Chiharu to extend an olive branch to Chitose, both to not unintentionally make Chitose suffer for Akito's death anymore, and to address her own feelings of guilt, giving Chitose one last chance to prove she cares for her more than her job. And while she still thinks to herself that she despises Chitose, she at least wants to ''try'' and see if things will work.
* ParentalAbandonment: Chiharu's mother, Chitose Kizuki, is too preoccupied with work to care for Chiharu in person, while her father Akito died long ago during Paxton's war. As a result, Chiharu was forced to stay in a crappy foster home for most of her young life, all but said to be a secret Meta Liberation Army training center, leading to her developing resentment towards Chitose for abandoning her.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Chiharu is noted to be the spitting image of her mother, Chitose Kizuki/Curious, the only difference being that Chiharu keeps her hair shorter and straighter.
