Shuma's only weakness in the comics is being magically banished by high-level beings. Any punch or kick to him he would scoff at. His power (and size) is also limited directly by how much influence he holds over that dimension. He doesn't hold much sway over Earth's dimension, so it's very possible that he's already at his full strength.

* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: Even outside of his home realm he was more powerful than the Phoenix Force backed by ''two'' Sorcerer Supremes and an assembly of cosmic heroes; and he beat Galactus' creator (or self-referred to as "father") Eternity in one of their confrontations. ** Do not be tempted to spam special attacks. It's better to just keep hitting him and blocking until the meter builds up. Then, when he charges his huge purple attack, give it everything you got.
** Hell, it's possible to beat him by just standing next to him and spamming the LIGHT ATTACK BUTTON! (Well, depending of the characters, that is. Some characters can't spam their light attack button.)
** Projectile hypers involving a large spread of projectiles completely wreck Galactus's health bar. In normal play, only a few hit the enemy, but nearly all will hit Galactus. These include Doom's Photon Disruptor, Magneto's Magnetic Tempest, Jill's Machine Gun Spray, Shuma-Gorath's Hyper Mystic Smash, and other similar ones.
** Don't be afraid to let loose on the heralds with Hyper combos. Should you nail them both, you'll do massive damage, and Galactus is immune to the grab-based Hypers anyway.
