She starts out as a poor village girl living in a village she hates because of what she sees as a populace of dumb hicks, and dreams of living in a fancy castle with maids. She gets the opportunity when she learns of a wish-granter who lives in the local woodlands, as long as she passes various trials. In the process, she falls in love with one of three girls at her village. But the deal is quickly revealed to be [[DealWithTheDevil dangerous and untrustworthy]], with multiple characters, including the minions of the wish granter, openly telling her the deal will screw her over. Yet her greed [[GreedMakesYouDumb obscures these blatantly obvious red flags]], and if she chooses not to back out at the last second, she [[spoiler:loses her love interest as payment for the wish and winds up miserable in her new wealthy life, eventually turning [[MyBelovedSmother overprotective]] in her desire to protect her children, the one joy in her life, only for it to severely backfire; ultimately, she dies with nothing but regrets]].

* EntitledBastard: Despite her modest upbringing and her adoptive grandmother's parenting, Elise has developed an entitled personality and believes she is destined for greater things than being a mere errand girl. She also complains in her IWantSong that despite Freya and Lebkuchen loving her since childhood, they never did enough to release her from poverty.

She slowly learns to love Elise as a person, [[spoiler:but this is not enough to change her prior mindset in Ending 1, where she is enraptured by her destiny of being sacrificed as the Good Company. However, Elise's refusal to submit to fate in Ending 5 finally convinces Rozenmarine to think otherwise, and she concludes after three years of soul-searching that her love was Elise was indeed genuine]].

* PinkySwear: She makes one with Elise during their final romantic date, promising not to hide anything from each other. She then reveals her intention to leave both the church and Kieferberg, preferably with Elise. [[spoiler:The irony, of course, is that Elise is STILL hiding what is probably the most important secret of all - the upcoming deal with Ozzy.]]

* LovingAShadow: Initially played straight, then gradually subverted in her romantic route. Rozenmarine is obsessed with Elise despite being near-complete strangers because Elise, as her supposed soulmate, embodies fate. As their relationship deepens, however, she slowly begins to love Elise as a person. [[spoiler:This is not enough to change her prior mindset in Ending 1, canonical to the 'Pocket Mirror' timeline, where she is seemingly unfazed by the loss of a happy future with Elise, instead showing satisfaction at her destiny of being sacrificed to Ozzy. However, Elise's refusal to submit to fate in Ending 5 drastically changes her worldview, and after three years of soul-searching, Rozenmarine finally concludes that she did indeed love Elise regardless of whether she was her fated soulmate or not.]]

She believes that [[YouCantFightFate fate is inescapable]] but instead of taking a more passive attitude, she does everything she can to achieve her destiny, such as traveling in search of her supposed soulmate Elise.
