There are some elements of it, as by the time Bond goes to Sanchez's casino, she and Sanchez apparently reconciled and she enjoys the lavish gifts he gives her, but it's shown that she's still afraid of him when she's not in his presence. At the end of the film, she takes Sanchez's iguana's diamond collar as a bracelet for herself.

Despite his assertion to Felix that it was [[BlatantLies "nothing personal"]] and [[BlatantLies "purely... business"]], he really had nothing substantial to gain from staying in the country to have his horrific revenge against the Leiters; doing so would not get him back the $2 million he used to bribe Killifer (which was small change for him in any case), the longer he stayed the bigger the danger that he might be recaptured, and murdering Della and maiming Felix didn't really even serve the purpose of providing a warning to all those who would think of screwing him, as he was already a feared drug lord to begin with. All that attacking the Leiters did was satisfy his own petty need for sadistic revenge.

* StuffedIntoTheFridge: She's left dead on her bed while Leiter is left bleeding in a bag on the couch.

* TheDragon: He's Sanchez's right-hand man. His friends Perez and Braun seem to hold a similar level of authority as him, with him just slightly above them in the organization's hierarchy.

* AdaptationalSympathy: His counterpart in "The Hildebrand Rarity" was an absolutely loathesome human being who truly deserved his gruesome fate. In the film, he's more washed-up lackey who by the end is more pitiable than evil.

* KarmicDeath: He dies after getting soaked with the gasoline mixed with his cocaine, and set ablaze by Bond with the very lighter Felix and Della offered him as a Best Man gift.
** It's also rather fitting that a guy who took immense pleasure in causing agonizing deaths for people ends up getting killed in such a horrifying manner.
