Ana is a lot larger than most fictional fashionistas, but is undeniably passionate about fashion ([[https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtf1/t31.0-8/12604759_1395535254079404_1241908150389535436_o.jpg this strip]] is a good example). While she doesn't often ''dress'' like a fashionista, it's implied that this is because she struggles to find outfits that fit her (and this may have been what inspired her to want to become a fashion designer in the first place).
* MamaBear: In one strip, Bree scares Kurami onto the ceiling as a joke, and Ana goes ''berserk''.
* TragicDropout: It's stated that Ana had to drop out of college (where she was presumably studying fashion design) in order to raise Kurami full-time.

!Kurami

The series' title character, an adorable blind infant whose parents died in unknown circumstances, leaving her cousin Ana to raise her. She speaks exclusively in BabyLanguage

* BabyLanguage: "Gek gek!" Subverted in that nobody knows what she's saying.
* BrainyBaby: Downplayed. Kurami isn't as intelligent as most examples, but she's still capable of things that an infant (let alone a ''blind'' infant) shouldn't logically be able to do. Correctly filling in a Sudoku puzzle, for instance.
* IdiotHair: Sports a fairly prominent cowlick that in one strip even pokes through the top of a hat.
* PeekABangs: Kurami's fringe covers her eyes. Because of this (as well as her age and BrainyBaby tendencies), a lot of new readers don't realize she's actually blind.

!Bree Kay

Ana's best friend.

* BigBeautifulWoman: [[AwesomeEgo And she knows it]].
-->'''Bree''': I put the "fat" in "infatuation".
* BigEater: And how. Once apparently ate at least ''five'' pizzas in one sitting (though {{DeconstructedTrope it did make her sick}}).
* HeightAngst: In one comic, she [[https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xfp1/t31.0-8/11539034_741352905971139_6517673338918101645_o.jpg expresses annoyance]] that Kurami's stuffed rabbit is taller than her.
* SouthernBelle: While it didn't become apparent until she gained a FunetikAksent in September 2015, WordOfGod is that she's been one the whole time.

!Zane

Kurami's pet cat.

* BreakingTheFourthWall: Will occasionally address the reader. On one occasion he ''literally'' breaks the fourth wall by accidentally poking a hole in the border between the panels.
* DeadpanSnarker
* Expy: He's essentially ComicStrip/Garfield in a hat. Lampshaded on at least one occasion.
* TheNicknamer: Refers to Ana as "Gargantuana", Bree as "Breehemoth", and Kurami as the slightly less disparaging "Blondie".
* ThoughtBubbleSpeech: How Zane communicates. Kurami appears to be able to understand him.

!Martha Kay

Bree's mother, introduced in December 2015.

* MsExposition: Responsible for the long-awaited [[TheReveal reveal]] of what happened to Kurami's parents, and how Ana came to raise her (and this was within ''three strips'' of her debut).
* SouthernBelle: Just like her daughter.
