* CreepyMortician: Always cheery and chipper, which comes across as creepy given his chosen line of work and surroundings.

* FireForgedFriends: Subverted. She who spends the entire movie as Kolchak's only ally and risks her live to help him stop the killer. But by the end of the movie she hates his guts, since her association with him resulted in her losing her job, her home and getting run out of Seattle by the police before she could complete her degree. She correctly points out that meeting him and joining in his adventure ''ruined her life''.

A Native American construction foreman and shaman.
shaman. Appears in "The Energy Eater".

to:

* MagicalNativeAmerican: DownplayedTrope. He's a shaman who's aware of all the ancient tribal legends and rituals, but he's also very assimilated and has little interest in using his knowledge. He helps Kolchak reluctantly because Matchemonedo killed some of his men.

Vampire Vannabe is officially about characters who wants to be vampires. Unclear examples and those about just pretending do not count.

* AgentMulder: She’s the one to convince Kolchak that Skorzeny is a real vampire rather than a VampireVannabe.

* ItsAllAboutMe: She doesn’t give a damn about the danger the Gremlins pose or that they killed her friend, only that they could make her rich and famous. The only reason Kolchak teams up with her is because he wants the story, and his InternalMonologue makes it very clear he doesn’t like her.
* {{Jerkass}}: A selfish jerk who only cares about herself and, after her friend is killed by the Gremlins, she decides to use this as an opportunity to get herself rich. After Kolchak manages to blow the Gremlins up, she berates him for costing her a fortune, not caring that the Gremlins probably would have killed countless people and them.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Most of Kolchak’s allies are either concerned citizens trying to help, people he asks about the mythology behind the MonsterOfTheWeek, or affable informants who, while they ask for money, aren’t malicious or cruel. Lorraine, on the other hand, is simply a selfish and possibly sociopathic jerk who only cares about herself and how she can profit off of the Gremlins, and the only reason Kolchak takes her along is because he needs help breaking the story about the Gremlins.
* UncertainDoom: [[spoiler:The last time she’s seen, she’s driving talking about how [[TemptingFate she hopes she gets what’s coming to her]], as a Gremlin emerges from her backseat. The captions of the next issue point out she’s probably dead, and Kolchak doesn’t know since she made it clear she never wanted to talk to him again.]]
* UngratefulBastard: Her reaction to Kolchak saving them by blowing up the Gremlins is to berate him for costing her a chance to get rich. [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech Carl promptly rips into her for her selfishness and shortsightedness.]] Her response to that is to drive off, leaving him to walk back to his motel, and talking about how she hopes he gets what he deserves, and for that matter, she gets what she deserves. [[spoiler:As she says this, a Gremlin pops up in her backseat, while Kolchak manages to break another story about Gregg Runningwater’s ScoobyDooHoax.]]
